Charleston's Meeting Street Inn is wonderful!
The Meeting Street Inn is a charming, partially historic inn located on Meeting Street in downtown Charleston, SC. We visited there for three nights, celebrating our anniversary. Our room was on the 4th (top) floor since my husband had read that the hardwood floors can be noisy if there's a room above you.
Our room was delightful. We had a big 4-poster bed, and a balcony that over looked a courtyard. Darlene kept our room sparkling every day.
There are two elevators to make things easy, and the hotel puts on a nightly wine and cheese, meet-and-greet in the lobby, as well as a nicely stocked Continental breakfast each morning.
Parking is extra in a lot 2 blocks away for $25 but we parked in the lot right next to the hotel for the same price.
Staff is the best, and they have a book detailing guests' experiences of ghost "visits." When we went on our ghost tour with Andy, he told us all about the original part of the Inn, and the hauntings there.
Book a historical/spooky ghost tour with Andy! Google "charleston's ghost tours with Andy". Very cool and fun!
