While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Systemic consumer law breaches and deceptive practices.

This business actively tries to rip off consumers by violating Australian Consumer Law. A look at their history shows a clear pattern of trying to extort unlawful restocking fees on damaged items, forcing unwanted replacement parts on people, and ignoring statutory warranties.

If you are a past customer reading this and they charged you a 20 per cent fee for a damaged item, or told you transit damage was not covered, you are still legally entitled to your money. Statutory consumer guarantees override their illegal store policies and do not have a strict expiry date. You can still report them to the ACCC and your state Fair Trading office to demand your full refund (and compensation).

In my case, an item arrived with a major physical fault out of the box. Instead of providing the legally required refund, the Managing Director tried to call it a 'change of mind' so he could unlawfully deduct a 20 per cent restocking fee and freight costs. He literally admitted in writing that he planned to put the broken item back on the shelf and sell it to someone else as brand new.

When I refused, they fabricated a fake tracking number and gave it to the payment processor to lie and claim they had shipped a replacement part I explicitly rejected.

MEFE's refusal to honour their obligations under Australian Consumer Law forced me to escalate the dispute to AFCA via PayPal, which resulted in a full refund being issued over MEFE's head. They are violating statutory consumer guarantees. Check the highlighted text in the screenshots below explaining exactly why their policy is a breach of your rights. Report this business to the ACCC and Fair Trading.
