As a teacher of 20 years, creating seating plans has been the bane of my life! I typically have 15-17 classes a year due to the subject I teach and often change rooms. I bought a subscription to Mega Seating Plan thinking at the very least, it must save me a bit of time!

Well, after two days of use, both planning and in the classroom, my expectations were surpassed in every way. I bought the "silver" plan as an individual teacher and it is absolutely perfect.

Creating a room plan takes a minute! It's drag and drop, resize and it auto scales to your screen so every seat is visible! Unlike other certain seating plan makers which shall remain nameless!

Importing student data is very easy. As I am a single teacher at my school, I can import them using Google Classroom, Teams or if I want more data, manual import from an EXCEL file. I went with the manual import as it quite literally takes thirty seconds and custom data headings can be used too.

Then the magic...creating the seating plan was effortless. Just a random plan, then a little tweaking was all I need to do!

The random name picker is perfect for cold calling and all of this for around £2 a month? I managed to get all of my classes created in an hour and I tested it out in the classroom today and it was perfect! Also student info/pictures can be toggled on and off so they are projector friendly.

Do I recommend? If you're not a fan of making seating plans then yes! This has saved me hours of my life and I can tweak them on the fly!

I was a little sceptical due to some of the reviews here. But the interface is very smooth, easy to use and the results are great!

All in all, extremely happy! Will be using for years to come!

As a maths teacher in an FE setting I used Mega seating plan foe my function skills and GCSE groups. I paid for the premium features which cost so little I didn't even think to re charge to the college though I certainly could have!

Its evident that the system has been created and is run by an Educator and not a faceless company who are in it for the money. Its an ace system and one I continue to recommend to friends and fellow teachers.

Easy to use and quick. saves time and shows at a glance the information needed for each group and easy to customise.

It is very helpful to have the teacher view and the student view of the seating plan. However, I get a lot of comments about the face (your face?) that appears to the bottom right corner when I project it onto the screen. Sorry, I think it's not necessary there.

Have been using it for the last couple of years as a new teacher. Seamless integration and so easy to use, sensible and functional. Definitely would recommend to use with your classes for data-rich seating plans.

I use Mega Seating plan a lot . I don’t like the new icons used when setting up a classroom, I don’t see the point of having icons of pupils in that, and then square ‘desks’ when adding pupils to the seating plans. Other than that, it’s such a great way of making plans.
Recently I had reason to get help with it, and through the ‘chat’ option my problems were resolved immediately.

It's good but still fairly basic. It would be great if you could add functions to create groups of students that:
1. Should sit together
2. Shouldn't sit together
3. Should sit in the front
4. Should sit in the back
5. Should sit by themselves

I have been teaching for years and I am very impressed. Guess there's a small business that does big favours for us eh ;)

Sometimes if I try to move SEN students to the front the whole class disappears (apart from a couple). It is also sometimes hard to edit the classroom layout without having to just start it again

Love using this! Making seating charts is probably my least favorite part of teaching. This makes it so much better with the added functionality it offers I'm over the moon. Thank you!

I love this website. It is very easy to move and I am actually enjoying making new seating plans. Especially when you move classrooms a lot it is so much easier!

An extremely good way to handle seating plans and it is easy to move the students around. Looking foreward to se how good the automated system can become.

This was a quick and easy seating chart. I love it.

Really easy to set up rooms and use. Very good value for money. All of the information is on the seating plan. Really useful feature of being able to search for other teachers seating plans when doing cover lessons. interesting name learning feature.

I love Mega Seating Plan. Once I uploaded my data it was quick and easy to create seating plans and make changes.

I would love for the seating chart to be compatible with an iPhone or iPad.

This product has been a revelation. So easy to use, packed full of features and a a bargain price compared to the other products we looked at. Ability to search for an individual student during covid has been invaluable as well as being able to see other teachers seating plans. Customer support is exceptional
