I was contacted by this company and we agreed to do business together. I delivered my drawings for them, never got any responds or payment. Complete scam it is! The contact I had deleted her Facebook profile so no further contact was possible. Watch out!
This is a scam job site
I wish I could have read the reviews about this site sooner.
First, a stranger on Facebook (Calum Bronson) joined the group looking for freelance design work, they found me and gave me a price of 4000 USD. Then there was an email from this website www.megatechpublisher*com sent to me with another name Martin. I had no doubts and completed the assigned work.
Then they made me create an account at the website monsoreltrustsavings.com and transferred me 4000 USD. After that, I placed a withdrawal order to my bank account (2000USD), but I had to go through 3 codes: VAT, BOT and BVT and I would have to pay them with a deposit from my personal bank account. my person. I transferred them 160 USD to a bank account in Vietnam (MBbank) and then I waited for a long time. When I got to the BVT code, they forced me to transfer another 110 USD and promised that after transferring, the money would come back plus Deposit amount (2000USD and 270USD). I asked why they didn't take the money currently on my monsoreltrustsaving account instead of taking my money, but they couldn't answer.
At this point, I feel like I've been scammed.
Be careful to everyone, especially those who work freelance, consider that money I spent to buy a lesson for myself and all the readers here!
They deposited 4K but I transferred it to a crypto account but I have it stuck because I have to pay for the deposit.
I’m happy to be part of the company today , they offer me a job through upwork and I had the privilege to chat with my project director Olivia and she guided me through all the steps and I got paid I didn’t believe after clearing some fee required payment was made to my account .
I’m so grateful and thankful to work with this company
They send you a job offer, get a "gig" to get done in 3 days, despite the first contact being through a bid in upwork for a job you can do, the amount is ridiculous: 4k. the job is not for a field you are capable of doing in reality.
Here is a list of shady things about this website: The website is pretty shady, says is canadian, but is registered in london (the city of london is a tax heaven), two people only "manage" the website, but you search their names and not one LinkedIn profile shows up, the website says "since 2002" when it was created in 2023, the "social media accounts" their link never redirect you to a profile of them, rather they send you to the social media's home page, a lot of thumbnails totally broken, they reject you to have a video call to see their faces, and most important, there is no escrow of the money they promise you will be paid.
they contact you through telegram
be aware.
This a totally SCAM, they contact u (DAVID) to do a big amount of work in three days, and ask u to create an Acount here , saying they'll pay u $4k dollars in thre days of work, they have do the same with another freelancers I know
I’m totally amazed at my first online job here at mega tech the payment method is totally secured
