MEGT lacks a basic respect for candidates time and effort

MEGT (consultant: natalie) was extremely disappointing to deal with throughout my application process.

I applied for a traineeship they were advertising and I was invited to an interview, which required me to travel one hour. After the interview, I was informed that the client was happy with my performance and intended to offer me the position, with a formal letter of offer to be sent after Christmas.

After Christmas, I received a call saying the client had decided to conduct additional interviews because they were "not certain". Although this was frustrating given what I had previously been told, I agreed to proceed.

Weeks passed with no communication. I attempted to contact natalie multiple times but received no response. Eventually, when she figured out how phones work, I was told she would need to "get back to me with feedback". Predictably, I never received that call or any feedback.

The lack of communication and follow-through was unprofessional and disappointing, especially after being told I would receive an offer.

Extremely dubious 'charity'

This 'charity' needs to be fully audited immediately. The level of dysfunction and poor practice exhibited is unacceptable given a huge amount of public funding.

The annual report with ACNC notes they took over $91 million dollars of tax money in 2024. The report indicates the ten key management staff earned on average $380k each that year. Based on employee expenses the 581 full time equivalent employees earned on average $184k each that year.

These are astronomical payments for the extremely dubious service on offer. As far as I can see there is also no public report on performance, so nobody can actually see the results of tax money being spent. Anyone can easily check the ACNC report themselves to confirm the above.
