Lack of Service
Went for Class A inspection and was told about 2 hours to complete.
It was around 9:15 AM so around 12PM I wandered around to check status of my car only to notice there was no one around in the Service Department.
Found out the so called mechanics all go to lunch at the same time which infuriated me because now we are waiting in the showroom while they have lunch.
Around 1:15PM spoke with Service Advisor and explained my frustration. Within 10 minutes after speaking to him I received my car.
I filed a complaint with Mercedes yet they blamed me for the poor service because I brought the loaner car back too early.
Avoid any service at Mercedes Benz at Overseas Motors in Windsor Ontario!
Mercedes Cairns Trinnity auto
Mercedes Cairns Trinnity auto, what an absolute useless dealership. They so called fixed the GLA just shutting down while driving. The fault returned and it's worse than before. This is not a concern for Mercedes Australia, seems like it's a normal condition for Mercedes vehicles to shut down causing no control over the vehicle while driving. So if you love your family stay well clear of Mercedes Benz vehicles. Mercedes Benz Australia literally just make it your problem. I'm still trying to get my head around a dealership not worried that their luxury vehicles that can kill innocent people with their vehicles shutting down while driving👍
So this is ridiculous
So this is ridiculous.
my car (Mercades Benz ml350) has a fault caused but water damage to electronics due to improper design.
I asked at the dealership if they would come to the table and help me sort it at all and the reply I got from an extremely rude attendant was "It's not under warranty so we won't help".
telling me it would be a minimum of 2 thousand dollars to fix.
I have already had 2 safety recalls on this car in the last 24 months.
A quick search of the issue shows thousands of people having this same issue.
the body of the car has never been touched so it has not been caused after manufacturing.
this electrical fault is causing some severe safety issues and still, they do not care.
I have put a report into the ACCC but I am starting to wonder if the only way to resolve this will be a class action suit since there are so many people with this issue especially with the year model I have.
I have a meeting already booked with a lawyer to discuss this and other options I may have.
I am so frustrated and disappointed in Mercedes-Benz Australia not only because of their obvious attempts to shake off responsibilities but also the sheer rudeness I received when I approached them to ask for help.
I will never purchase a Mercedes Benz again as it is clear they have no care for the longevity of the car when designing it
If you are considering buying a Mercedes, I highly recommend you reconsider and go with a more reputable care manufacturer.
Do not wait for your car!!!
Took my daughters car in for recall. On site at 9.45am. 110% impressed with dealership and visitor waiting area, the welcome is of a very high standard.
Staff were very friendly and respectful. I explained it will be good to ,if possible have inspection/work done by 2.00pm.
W/S administrator advised he could not say when the work will be effected.
At 2.00pm, asked about car with no response. At 3.10pm, asked for the car back by 3.30pm or I will have to enter the workshop and recover the car, the latest I may leave it as due at work. A woman who I assume to be a manager, could give no answer as to why an update could have been given to me between 10 and 3pm. She said "sorry you feel that way"and maintained there was no obligation on the dealership to keep a waiting customer updated who was waiting. She did maintain I had been told there may be no guarantee when the car could be ready which I agreed.
Do not leave your car and wait for works to be done.
Did not know I will be just left without information.
Still 5 star, communication fail, left without update.

Haven frustrating experience with your brand new Mercedes-Benz 2023 GLE 350 4MATIC SUV. Dealing with persistent issues from day one despite numerous attempts to have them resolved is undoubtedly disheartening, especially when you've invested a significant amount of money into a luxury vehicle. ( over $ 100,000 )
It's particularly disappointing that Mercedes-Benz has not been more proactive in addressing your concerns, especially considering the premium reputation they hold in terms of quality and service. Instead of offering a replacement vehicle, it's concerning that they've insisted on repairing the car, especially when the issues persist. (16 MONTHS LATER)
Moreover, the request for an additional $18,000 to replace the car seems unjust, especially given that the vehicle has been experiencing problems since the beginning and despite your efforts to have them fixed. It's unfair to expect you to bear the financial burden for issues that are ultimately the manufacturer's responsibility to rectify.
It's situations like these where Lemon Laws are meant to protect consumers like ourself. If you haven't already, I would strongly recommend seeking legal advice to explore your options for recourse under the Lemon Law in your jurisdiction. You deserve a resolution that is fair and just, and it's unfortunate that Mercedes-Benz has not lived up to the standards of quality and service that they advertise.
PS. THINK TWICE BEFORE ACQUIRING MERCEDES.
Bought a vehicle from Mercedes Benz…
Bought a vehicle from Mercedes Benz Bridgend. I dealt with Nick Tustin which was very polite , I didn’t get to test drive the vehicle before putting down a deposit and before purchasing, which I did not see as a red flag at the time, as there was excuses that it was in the Workshop for paintwork, which I knew they needed to sort out. Picking up the car I did mention that the paint work hadn’t been done to a standard which was later in the month booked in to get sorted, again. During the meantime of may 7th( day of purchase) - may 24th I had emailed to say that the car had started to make a noise when driving and that it may need to be looked at sooner ( rattling noise) and that they had sold me a car with a slow puncture. Car booked in for the 31st of may- picked up and paint work sorted but not to the best standard, no tyre replaced and car still making rattling noises. On the first evening of having the car all lights came up on dashboard but car was driving but obviously couldn’t drive it the next morning the car was fine no lights on the dashboard- I did mention this to nick when I went into the garage for the spray work to be sorted and everything else
The car had then started to flood in back rear floor well, booked in with local garage that I’ve used for many years..
I’ve now found out that they’ve sold me a car that has been in a crash previous to purchasing, all new spraywork done to rear end bumper. Bumps and dents behind the bumper indicating it’s been in a crash causing the back seals behind bumper to leak water. New tyre put on and tyre pressure still funny on brand new tyre. Same place as to where it’s had its crash. And engine light on and car is going limp. PLEASE DO NOT THINK AS THIS GARAGE AS TRUSTWORTHY
I’ve been to the garage and the customer’s service is shocking, left me in tears. Dealt with nick tustin and the receptionist Vicky lishian- so rude basically said that it’s too late now and to deal with it whilst being unfit for purpose.

1 star is to much for Eqs 450+ top of the range costing over 150k , claimed range 450 miles, you would be lucky to get 250 in town and 300 miles max on motorway, it’s more expensive to run than S560 plug in hybrid petrol 😢, bench base don’t recline 👎, no vanity mirrors on the back, no passenger overhead handles, cheap cup holders 👎,no soft close doors, crap design, it cost £110 to fully charge on rapid chargers and you get 250 miles max plus anxiety as a bonus, avoid at all costs, they want you to save the planet and you have to pay more ,costs more to run than S560 petrol, unbelievable ,👎👎👎👎zero stars if possible ,also looking for options to return it , I just don’t know why people don’t sue them over lies of range and running costs?
Electric car EQE350 is a garbage and…
Electric car EQE350 is a garbage and the customer service is very bad, it is not safe at all!! Tons of problems since got the car in September 2023, more than 10 times in maintenance and i am now stuck on highway in risk as the car stopped with no reason and can’t switch it on!!! My advise to anyone thinking to get any electric car from Mercedes, please do not make it
EQE SUV
I recently purchased the EQE 2023 model from Mercedes Canada Newmarket, inspired by their sales representative and my commitment to environmental conservation. The exterior and interior of the car are beautiful, and the drive is smooth. However, there are some important issues that potential buyers should be aware of regarding the car's range.
Mercedes claims that the EQE can travel between 407- on their website they say Range but they just put the highest as 407 not the lowest! kilometres in normal weather conditions. However, during Canadian winters, the range is significantly reduced, as they claim driving approximately 50 kilometers less. In my experience, the car does not exceed 190 kilometres in winter temperatures ranging from 0 to 3.5 degrees Celsius ( not even colder weather).
I have documented my usage of the car through recordings and videos, which clearly show the limitations of its range. This has significantly impacted my daily life, preventing me from fully enjoying the car due to its limited range.
When I initially informed my sales representative of the issue almost two months ago, Mercedes Canada Newmarket seemed to acknowledge the problem and showed willingness to address it. However, their approach quickly changed, and they began playing games with me. They attempted to sell me another car from their inventory, and there was a back-and-forth in their communication and pricing which was increased from $1700 monthly to 2250 monthly!
Despite these actions, Mercedes Canada Newmarket has not yet responded to my open claim. The stress and frustration caused by this situation have led to moderate anxiety and depression, impacting my ability to sleep. I have consulted with a lawyer regarding a potential class-action lawsuit.
I have attached two pictures from a day when I drove my car, clearly showing the usage from 100% to 18%, which highlights the range issue- the real range is something around 140km- 198km and the car does not show it. Potential buyers should be aware of these challenges before purchasing the EQE model from Mercedes.
Extremely bad service
Extremely bad service, problems don't get solved, emails no answer, NEVER EVER a mercedes again
TERRIBLE!!
TERRIBLE!!! shocking service!!!
Calls record they have had the car twice still do not know what’s wrong with the car.
Terrible
I had a sprinter van and it was part of the blutec warranty. They didn't honor the terms in the Warranty. Also had problems with this van and was consistently in the repair shop. STAY AWAY FROM MERCEDES. Really bad product.
Mercedes Liverpool
Our Mercedes glc had a recall on it, my wife took a day off work in the summer to take it to Mercedes liverpool, she was not given a courtesy car and was told that we would receive a call later that afternoon when the vehicle was ready, my wife had a call later that day 4.30pm and was told that all of their systems had gone down and they were unable to do the update on the car that day, we went to collect the car and asked why it had been left that late in the first place as vehicle was taken there first thing that morning but had no explanation, we asked could we book the car back in when we were not in work as my wife had lost a days work and were told no, we were contacted by Mercedes again in December and asked to bring the car back today 26/1/24 I wrote this in my diary immediately and booked myself a days holiday from work and asked them to provide a courtesy car which was agreed, I contacted Mercedes again via telephone to confirm the date again and to confirm the courtesy car and both were confirmed, I returned to Mercedes this morning to be told oh you should of been here yesterday and we have no courtesy car for you, I explained that I had had to take a day off work and the reply of the staff member was not my problem, I have returned home with my vehicle not done again I have the letter in front of me that Mercedes sent me to book appointment and I had wrote the details down (date etc ) while on the telephone booking the vehicle in, I am disgusted at the service that we have received from Mercedes Benz and the poor attitude of the unhelpful and rude staff member, we are unable to just keep taking unnecessary days off work, we are sorry that we ever bought a Mercedes, we never had this sort of service from bmw,
They don’t know their own complaints procedure
It has been a pretty poor start. I have an issue and needed MB help. They were not able to advise but took the details and advised someone would be in contact. I called the first time as wanted to email over all of my proof so they can make an informed decision, that was fine. I am not happy that the car is roadworthy so would like it dealt with asap and called to see what their policy is to respond to complaints. The lady did not know. I asked for a copy of their complaints procedure to which she could not send me. I asked how long they have to respond and the answer was at least 5 days. I asked if she meant a maximum of 5 days and she did not understand. I have gone into their website and yes they aim to respond within 5 days. Really poor service that they do not even know their own policies!
Appalling, Terrible and utterly such disgraceful service. Worst ever
Purchased my first ever Mercedes-Benz AMG Saloon vehicle last year mid-Feb as my pride and joy moving on from Audi. Totally love it.
However, I’m extremely disappointed at the terrible service I’ve received it’s extremely appalling. Communication and workmanship is absolutely disgraceful having caused me so much stress. For a premium brand like Mercedes-Benz to state “we take pride in customer care and this is our top priority” this is complete rubbish and absolute pants!! Bullsh*t in all!
Where do I start?
From purchasing vehicle and few months being all fine, suddenly a steering wheel malfunction occurs on 27/03.
Purchased two-year warranty as part of package and took to local dealership (Watford) for repair as urgent priority because of course, very risky to drive, not drivable and my life in danger. No loan vehicle is offered to me which it should’ve been. Get told on 28/03/2023 that vehicle is repaired. Asked to see diagnostic report so know what cause of the problem was with work carried out. Despite requesting this, did not receive at all. Took vehicle away being told it’s safe to drive, however clearly wasn’t repaired as squeaking noises coming every time I turn wheel when driving. Very frustrating and raging with anger, took back to dealership explaining why it wasn’t repaired properly as making noises and then had to leave it there for 3-4 days. Again no loan vehicle issued to me so wasn’t able to get around to places!
Vehicle got repaired and was fine to drive, major B service was due 08 Aug and took in for this. Was advised vehicle is in excellent condition, no faults whatsoever.
Going on A/L abroad from 03 Nov and guess what, same issue Power Steering Malfunction happens yet again this time on motorway driving to Heathrow airport with my parents & family in vehicle! This too on day I’m flying out early morning!! This was so dangerous and caused me so much stress and distress!! 7 months down the line after having just been repaired on 28 March and full service carried out on 08 Aug, this happens again!!
Why wasn’t this rectified in the first instance properly causing danger not only to myself when driving but also to my family in the vehicle? Was this just a case of merely a diagnostic machine connected to vehicle and fault code being erased?? Then I get told part is defective.
Stressful day on flying out early morning, telephone Mercedes-Benz recovery to urgently collect vehicle from Heathrow Terminal 4 as I have flight to catch in the next 45 minutes but then I get told they’ll be there in 2 hours - complete nonsense and further causing me much stress and panic! No other option being available, had to telephone and call a private recovery service which thankfully came within 10 mins and even kindly offered to take it back to local Watford dealership but still, out of my own pocket I have to fork out so much money though I shouldn’t have needed to!!
Vehicle been in dealership since 03 Nov 2023 and communication has been absolutely appalling and service so terrible! Get told every single time the part is still on back order from Germany and no ETA.. what kind of rubbish service is this? For just one stupid part inc. other parts, why the hell does it take this long causing stress to customers and why are parts not normally in stock when they jolly well should be to avoid customers having to wait so long as 11 months or so just to get their own vehicle back??!! Why was this part for myself not ordered in the first instance in March last year when it originally happened causing so much stress and especially on my annual leave break whilst I’m abroad? Is this the moto of Mercedes-Benz to treat its customers like crap like I feel I’ve been treated and keep getting told “we do apologise for the stress this has caused you.” This is clearly not good enough with all the damage caused and the impact of stress this has caused me. How do I know this is a genuine apology and how can I trust MB losing faith after everything that has happened, my vehicle will be repaired properly and returned back to me with no problems such as this happening again? Why is communication so terrible whereby every time I have to telephone asking for update and the people themselves can’t even telephone me to give me updates other than just stupid generic text message stating “the parts required for your vehicle are still on order?” Is this rocket science?!
Never received this bad service elsewhere ever
12 Jan - still waiting for my vehicle, no part
Have demanded compensation as goodwill gesture for this stress MB caused and I better receive. Failure to give this will leave me no choice but take this further to court where I’ll sue the business and leave bad review on all social media platform branding MB for this stupid and disgraceful service.
Totally a dissatisfied customer.
I bought a brand new GLE350 in year…
I bought a brand new GLE350 in year 2020 from the Edmonton West Dealership. Because it our first family vehicle in this brand, we also purchased $2000 worth of first 3 services as promoted by the dealership.
One year later of use rear spoiler came off while driving on highway and it took months and so much efforts to get it repaired under warranty. Tried to find a reason to blame not to cover under the warranty, but they could not find any.
Then the remote starter expired and they wanted us to pay $200 plus per year for subscription. This is a free features comes with any vehicle nowadays, but not with Mercedes Benz.
We followed the services as the vehicle alerted us as due. Our last service we booked with the dealership as we have already paid for it. However they gave us the appointment two weeks later and asked us to pay for the service claiming that the service we paid for has already expired. How the initial 3 services we bought have a expiry date? Now I learn not only food but service we buy from Mercedes Benz also expire and similar to warranty. Regardless you paid for the service well in advance.
I strongly recommend NOT to by Mercedes Benz as there are many economical vehicles out there with super luxurious than this brand. Even my all vehicles much better than this vehicle on many features.
Especially do not suggest to deal with WEST EDMONTON Dealership.
Thank you
Very poor car and woeful customer services
I was very happy to take possession of my new Mercedes Benz EQA 250+ a few months ago. But, this is where the happiness ends.
On 12/12/23, the car failed on the motorway while overtaking a lorry at 65 mph when the screen lit up reporting a malfunction and to stop, immediately. When an electric car wants to stop, it stops very quickly. I had to swerve across the path of the lorry, as I was in the fast lane. The collision detection system going crazy. and the lorry driver's horn and lights blaring at me. I could not stop in the fast lane as the motorway was busy and only two lanes, it could have caused a major accident. I only just got across to the hard shoulder and no more. The car came to a halt very quickly. I was very shocked and shaken. Sixty-five to zero very quickly, not nice.
I pressed the emergency button and got a very nice lady who explained that this button was only for accidents or emergencies and transferred me to MercedesMe. The call was answered and logged and they told me I was a priority and I should stand out of my vehicle and wait behind the barrier. Help would be with me shortly. No barrier, raining, cold, and dark. With cars, vans, and lorries whizzing past inches from the car.
No one came for over 4 hours, despite multiple calls for help, lines busy, and waiting on the phone. The car battery was saying that it was getting low and the lights kept turning off. Hazards kept going. No other lights apart from the now low volume of traffic. When the chap did arrive, he apologized and told me to get into my car and to stay there and try to get warm. He had positioned his van so that it was shielding the MB. He checked the car and said there was nothing he could do for the car and would have to call out a flatbed truck to get me off the motorway. I think he could see from my look as he said he was not going anywhere until the car was on the flatbed truck.
The flatbed arrived about 2115, nearly 5 hours after the initial call to say I had broken down. They had problems getting the EQA on the flatbed as they could not release the handbrake due to the low voltage in the car. Once on the tuck, he took me to his storage depot and ordered me a taxi. I got home after 6 hours and had to pay for my own taxi, though according to mb Customer Experience at rac.co.uk, it is within my scheme entitlement?? Eating my dinner at 2230. Six hours to get 20 miles!!
The next day, I got a loan car, promised for 0900, so I could go to work, received after 1600.
I logged a call with MB customer complaints on 13/12/23. I have had one reply with the complaint number and to confirm some details on 15/12/23, which I did. No reply or confirmation or contact since from Mercedes-Benz customer services. Nothing from Arnold Clarks, Head of Business, General Sales Manager, Sales Manager, Aftersales Manager or CEO.
A poor response does not cover it. The dealer Arnold Clark, Grangemouth told me I need to speak with Mercedes Benz, as they are just the repairer. I don’t want this car back, but I am not given any other options. Wish I had never bought this car, I don’t trust it anymore. And I will be holding Mercedes Benz and Arnold Clark responsible for any other failures with this car!
Now been passed to Mercedes Benz Finance as Mercedes Benz doesn't think the issue is with them, or they are not interested!
I have just been told by MB Finance that they are unable to provide me with a response, and my 15 days are up. I could now be waiting another 8 weeks for a response. I was open to another car and continuing the finance agreement.
But, I just don’t trust this car, or the damage that could have been done by this significant failure. It has had faults from the start, the heater was not that warm and had to be set to 24/25. Intermittent issues, not detecting cars on the left of the car. The front camera kept failing and reporting an error. I reported this via the Mercedes satisfaction email I was sent, they said they would be reported to the dealership and I would be contacted, but nothing has happened. I popped into the dealership and I was told that they would be investigated at the first service, as they were not considered a serious enough problem to recall the car.
Now been told that I have to go to Arnold Clark Mercedes Benz and get my repaired car!! Despite there still supposedly being a review as to whether the car is fit for purpose!

Lack of Ownership- Black Hole Experts
Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Substandard Service and Leadership at Mercedes-Benz Australia
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the quality of service I have experienced as the owner of a Mercedes-Benz S Class. As a dedicated patron of your brand, it is disheartening to report such a negative encounter with what is supposed to be a pinnacle of automotive excellence.
The primary concerns I wish to address are as follows:
1. **Lack of Leadership:** The absence of effective leadership within the customer service department has resulted in a cascade of issues, leading to an overall breakdown in the quality of service provided.
2. **Black Holes in Service:** Numerous instances of what I perceive as "black holes" in the service process, where my concerns and queries seem to vanish without proper resolution or follow-up, leaving me in a state of perpetual uncertainty.
3. **Abysmal Service Standards:** The service standards exhibited during my interactions have fallen far below the premium quality I expect from the Mercedes-Benz brand. This has left me questioning the integrity of the after-sales service associated with your vehicles.
4. **Lack of Ownership and Responsibility:** There is a distinct lack of ownership and responsibility from individuals within your service team. This absence of accountability has only exacerbated the challenges I have faced in attempting to address and resolve issues with my S Class.
5. **Inadequate Communication Channels:** The communication channels available for customers to connect with managers and senior management are grossly inadequate. This has resulted in a frustrating lack of transparency and hindered the timely resolution of my concerns.
I want to emphasize that this experience has been, by far, the most unsatisfactory encounter I have had with any service provider. As a loyal customer who has invested in the excellence that Mercedes-Benz promises, I find it unacceptable to spend hours attempting to rectify issues that should be handled with efficiency and professionalism.
In light of the above, I kindly request that an executive from Mercedes-Benz Australia urgently reaches out to me to discuss and resolve these matters. I believe it is in the best interest of your brand to address and rectify these issues promptly, restoring the faith and loyalty of a customer who has long admired the quality and craftsmanship synonymous with the Mercedes-Benz name.
Yours sincerely,
ACP
Mercedes Steering wheel leather peeling.
Have tried to deal with an issue related the steering wheel peeling on my Mercedes between 10-2 on steering wheel and leather stippling. Escalated the complaint to Mercedes Australia after being told this isn't covered under warranty.... despite guarantee of repair or replace being the mantra when buying the vehicle. Mercedes claim this leather deterioration is due to the use of hand lotions or sanitizers but cannot actually confirm which and when asked why this hasn't occurred on the whole wheel (only areas exposed to UV sunlight) they simply dismiss the claim. Save yourself the hassles and cost of dealing with this company and buy a Genesis or any other car as the customer service is appalling and warranty is only as good as toilet paper.... Terrible experience and will be selling both my Mercedes and hope never to deal with them again.
