Worst place

I really have a great doctor and he is the only reason I stay here as for Mercy Health, they are the worst most incompetent people I believe God put on the planet! My complaints are to long for my time. You can start by actually talking with your patients and helping with things. Worst place!

Starving for answers……

I was a patient at Mercy Health in Lima, Ohio on the 8th floor. I was NOT allowed to have anything by mouth (NPO) for 2 days. My room was right across from the nurses station and I got to watch all the staff eat at the station in front of me! That was TORTURE! No communication between doctors, nurses so I was left to lay there hearing different stories and reasons what was going on. A Physicians Assistant thought it would be cute to belittle me and yell at me because I was “questioning” his answers and demanding to see the doctor he worked for. Too many hands in the pot, nobody really knowing what the next was saying, no communication with the patients! GET IT TOGETHER MERCY HEALTH! Billed my insurance $85,000 dollars to be tortured, yelled at by unprofessional assholes, and a shitty stay!!!! SMDH

cost-free preventive services under the ACA

there are 2 distinct parts in any health-provider organization.

1 - the medical professionals that deliver the actual service
2 - the administration side

This review is about the second. The Affordable Care Act mandates cost-free preventive services - spelled out here:
www dot healthcare dot gov / coverage / preventive-care-benefits /

The law is crystal clear, and the US Supreme Court recently upheld this mandate.

I have been unable to get from Mercy what the law specifies. I am stonewalled at every turn, delay tactics, promises of return calls that seldom come. Insistence that I submit to tests for preventive care without assurance that they will be treated as preventive. From the ACA website:

"...must cover the following list of preventive services without charging you a copayment or coinsurance. This is true even if you haven’t met your yearly deductible."

Mercy bills me for office visits over $200-00, and blood tests over $600, and wants to do this twice per year. Who has $1600/year to spend on what the ACA says must be cost-free?

This is far from over - it's just the beginning

Tiffin Ohio mercy emergency room doctor…

Tiffin Ohio mercy emergency room doctor didn't know my medication dosage and didn't bother to look it up. He claimed the highest dosage was 20mg of micardis. I'm on 80mg and he was told that. He claimed he couldn't add anything to it and sent me home that night. My blood pressure went through the roof overnight. I went to my doctor at 8am next morning. She said absolutely there's meds we can add and did. The clonidine she put me on worked within hours added to my 80mg of micardis.
