Giving it a 2, probably was once a 4. Very big decline in recent years. And if you get a new phone, get ready for a lot of trouble signing in. As FB self-destructed, Messenger still had a purpose. But now it is another annoying, 5-minute sign-in pain in the neck in a large batch of them. If they can't get it together and streamline the sign-in and stop making the customer responsible for security, they will probably just disappear or become another yahoo mail. Hard to say how disappointing it is.

I have just spent over two painful hours trying to set up an account for my 14-year-old child, and it has been the absolute worst app experience of my life. Meta's system is completely broken and full of endless crash loops.First, I tried setting up Messenger Kids. The app repeatedly forced me to authorize the device with my adult Facebook account. Every time I did, instead of creating or launching a safe child's profile, it glitched, crashed, and dumped my child directly into my personal adult Messenger feed with all of my private messages visible. This is a massive safety and privacy failure.After finally discovering that Messenger Kids is blocked for 14-year-olds due to Australian age laws, I tried downloading the standard Messenger app on her Samsung phone. The app immediately froze on a white screen and refused to launch. When I bypassed the broken app and tried creating a standard teen profile through a clean web browser, the automated system failed completely—it kept sending SMS verification codes that the login screen refused to accept, locking me out of the process entirely.Meta is one of the richest tech companies in the world, yet they have built a completely unusable, broken, and glitchy setup system. They hide essential tools deep in menus and rely on automated verification queues that do not work. Mark Zuckerberg needs to use some of his massive fortune to hire real human support and make these apps work easily and properly for parents who are just trying to keep their kids safe. Absolute rubbish. Give us our time back.

Well where do I start Facebook is one of the biggest platforms in the world and while saying that they're letting all these unlicensed casinos be be created on their platforms knowing these people don't have license and they broke don't have enough money to pay if a person did when I don't understand Play store the same way and they got all these fraudulent rigged program system casinos posted on their platforms and letting these people fraud people out their money especially the ones that's addicted to online slots like myself I have deposited so many casinos I lost count but I have hundreds of screenshots showing the unfair play these games are programmed to lose I have never won Facebook or messenger casino platforms and then they have these free plays let's talk about the free play free play is something they give you 10 to $20 to play with for free a lot of them say that the money is redeemable big lie once you are ready to withdraw your winnings is always an excuse the biggest excuse you got to deposit first because you got to become a VIP Play and play to play through and all this kind of stuff which they don't mention why you spending and I have literally spent hours days one casino they gave me $1 free play I won $46,000 they told me to deposit on party deposit $40 I never saw that money and it's getting out of hand and and I guess it's good money to Facebook and play store because they not stopping these people and they need to be stopped.

Disgraceful waste of ones time & energy. Hijacking private messages, asking for codes to even view your own private messages. THEY wouldn't even have a platform worth a penny if it wasn't for the millions of folks attempting to use it. Keep avoiding that tax there, fellas. CONsistently CRAP!!!~

This app is absolutely terrible for listing products and for general business use.

They won't allow you to send links, we list apartments on messenger, and we have a paid for service, and we can send them links to our applications, or to our listings on other platforms.

I can't login since a lot of days. Login page is not responding. Are your developers discovering developing with AI? Make them attend some courses to use it properly 🤣

I get spam from fake accounts. Sometimes I get a notification but there's nothing there at all.

If you forget your pin number all your messages will be deleted. I dont understand why it keeps doing that and then giving me the option to "restore messages" as if that makes any sense. How about just not deleting messages and conversations to beguin with.

Never saw a customer support as bad as this one and I saw a lot

I am told I have messages, I know I don't but face book needs me to download to prove I don't have messages. Control is fine, bullying with zero substance is alienating.

Fake news spreads a lot on facebook. It's very disturbing.

I received a peculiar email from this dubious whatever they call online sites such as this one. I am aged 70 and don't entertain them. The email was from them, not some scammer, and defamatorily informing me that I am suspended because my activity violated their security standards. How have they suspended me from a social media site I was never with, let alone committing violations on?
Their only possible construable reason can be a criminally libelous one, in which case we must ask the question, how safe is this platform?
Evincive by their act of unlawfulness toward me by the email they sent me, I feel that people have the right to know that facebook is criminal and should be avoided.
