I am on round 2 of homeschooling kiddos. My adults have me teaching their littles. I also have an adopted special kiddo with Autism.
Mia Academy caught my attention for a few reasons.
1. It's fun - that's great for kids with ADHD and Autism/certain Sensory issues.
2. It is academically sound - Trust me - I already did this for 6 kids back in the 90's and 2000's.
3. It works with life. I love that. We started our school in the summer when it's too hot to do much in TExas so we worked in side on school and it's been amazing - give us more winter time to be out and enjoying life.
4. We travel quite a bit so it goes with us. We love that.
5. I print what we need daily - gaged on the progress of the boys I print the lessons they need to work through
6. Did I say it's fun - on their off time they like to play in the games. My 6yo is just about to get access to the chat feature for the Minecraft team. Want to talk about an excited boy!
7. I love that they have path's for boys and girls
8. I love the electives. We have really enjoyed them
9. The staff is amazing - any thing I have a hiccup with they have helped right away. Amazing world class help.
10. The price - AMAZING. Truly a blessing.
11. Finally - the parent side of this program is so great . The dash board allows you to modify and create a a custom plan for your kiddo's pace and needs. They keep the grades, hours and attendance for you. That's a huge help. Each lesson has teachers hints and notes.

Soooo, if you really want to see your kids excited for school - this is the place.
We love Mia Academy

We did this program for grade 4. It worked well for Math and Science. We supplemented the English portion with real book reading. My son connected with the young teacher guy videos for Math and Science as opposed to the Spanish teacher that was very cringe and we did not do the Spanish. We had an easy time finishing the course as opposed to other things we tried.

This is my first year homeschooling my seventh grader full-time
Prior to this, my children have been to private school.
My seventh grader was having trouble in his last year. With Miacademy, we’ve been able to set our courses so he is able to focus on the areas where he needs more attention and take our time to master concepts. He has thrived in homeschooling and Miacademy has been a huge factor in our success.
We use Mia as a base/guide and supplement with our library and other programs such as IXL.

I signed up my daughter to start homeschool and I signed her up to Miacademy.

My daughter finished two classes before school date is finished with A+. She completed Math and Reading comprehension.

The Math shows is completed but on daily curriculum shows she will needs to do the whole class again.

I’ve informed the workers but this continues to happen and it’s really getting out of hand.

I will be looking into another homeschool program because this is not okay.

I liked the platform as it helped me with grades for transcripts. My children did not like it because of how robotic the teachers were. It was like the same voice over and over again

My daughter likes Mia for some lessons in our homeschool, but I wish All the Mia platforms had the Vectored Instruction to help identify key knowledge gaps and retrieve lessons to bridge the gaps. My daughter gets frustrated in some lessons because she doesn't remember some of the prior lessons.

Mia has been so helpful for our family. The videos are easy to follow along, kids understand concepts and are engaged! They're not too long and practice questions "games" really help strengthen understanding. The workbooks thay go with the lessons are great to have! Lots of fun and efficient ways to support the course. The website is easy to navigate and the parent site is so nice to have! Being able to track and assign lessons as they go is a huge plus

I haven't been approved by classWallet yet but I know I will not be disappointed.

My child loves this curriculum we just wish it would have more videos explaining how to do the math for the parents that don’t understand.

Flexibility

I was really impressed with the service! They answered all the of my questions incredibly fast and provided a level of detail that I wasn't expecting. It made the whole process much easier. Highly recommend !

I have 3 kids on MiAcademy and one on MiaPrep, and this curriculum has been a life saver. We have been using the platforms since September of 2023. The flexibility in doing the work on our own schedule and being able to assign different courses at different times makes getting their work done a breeze. I love that as the parent I can require a certain passing grade on each quiz or assessment, assign or unassign individual lessons or units in each class, and even schedule in breaks from school work when ever I want to. The site is very user friendly, and the customer service any time we have an issue is amazing. I highly recommend the Miaplaza products to any one looking for a flexible, complete curriculum for their child.

My children's IXL scores have DRASTICALLY increased thanks to the detailed lessons for my kiddos. We love the flexibility and self-paced curriculum Mia has to offer!

Love this curriculum.

My son was pulled from public school after 2 gun incidents/threats before Christmas break. Miacademy has been so amazing for my son! He’s learning things he would have never learned in public school (money management, social skills, emotional regulation, etc). He also enjoys his coin incentives, as it lets him play monitored games with classmates. He’s finally interested in learning! I would recommend Miacademy to everyone, especially new homeschool parents.
