Purchased a new top of the range…
Hello Miele, Another week has passed and despite your 2 messages where you state that the responsible department has received my complaint at socail@miele to-date, no one from Miele has acknowledge any of my emails and not even to confirm receipt or to acknowledge my complaint. This further confirms that your standard replies on trust pilot is simply to show all other consumers that you are taking matters seriously when in fact you don't take any further action. This is utterly unacceptable. Have the decency to follow through and act in a professional manner. You are charging top prices for products that are simply not up to standard and then you are charging customers again to make new purchases, I will continue to post on trust pilot as I have a duty of care to highlight the poor standards and quality of the highly acclaimed Miele products, To all potential customers who are thinking of purchasing a Miele product. Save your hard earned money and purchase from other suppliers who know how to deal with customer complaints, Miele. Wake up and take accountability of what you are doing, You are a shadow of your former self.
Since replying to Miele response below at the email provided, they have not bothered to respond further. Their response is to simply look good in the eyes of trust pilot with no further action. Miele.. wake up and act !!
Purchased a new top of the range washing machine in Feb 2022 costing £1200. In July 2023 5 months out of warranty, an internal pipe came lose causing a leak. I was told to pay for the repair which was later refunded after many calls. In April 2025, the machine suffered a catastrophic failure where a hole appeared in the drum and I was informed that the machine could not be repaired. A machine that is suppose to last 20 years !!! I was only given a 40% discount on a new machine. In essence I have now spent almost £2500 on 2 machines over the period of 38 months. Customer care was awful and they simple refuse to take any accountability for the poor quality and build of what is suppose to be the best washing machine on the market. Miele mislead people by staying every Miele washing machine and tumble dryer goes through their intense testing process to ensure they last an equivalent of 20 years'. They claim that they do this by running the 95°C programme on their washing machines for 10,000 hours and opening and closing the door 60,000 times! Trading standards needs to look at this.! Don’t buy Miele and save your money. They are a shadow of their former self.
I could have bought 12 average machines with the money I spent and opened up a laundry business !!!

On your own
I purchased a Miele Duoflex vacuum and to be honest I fell in love with it. I was pretending I was an influencer when I talked about the close-to-$600 vacuum to friends and family. I was using it every other day. And four months after I got it a part broke/melted.
It's a plastic part that locks in the brush on the main attachment. The plastic part rotates very rapidly and constantly over a metal part. I am not a product engineer, but this seems like it was doomed to fail.
Customer support was useless and wouldn't send me a part. They were robotic and unhelpful saying I need to order the part, get this... over the phone!
A plastic part. On a 4 month old vacuum. On the PHONE. For $22.50 plus shipping and tax!
Except, get THIS: they don't have the part they told me to call and order. Let alone send me for free. It's a ten cent piece of plastic.
And so now I have to drive 30 minutes to a dealer and have it looked at and the warranty reviewed.
What a massive pain and as a customer I went from a promoter, big time, very rapidly to a detractor.
And now I see they have a 1.6 star review rating here I shouldn't be surprised.

I purchased a Miele Tumble Dryer…
Update following contact from Miele -
Refusing to do anything to fix a fault that was present from the factory. A manufacturing fault is being left unrepaired unless I pay for the repair.
Miele don't care if their appliances don't work past the 2 year warranty period.
I bought Miele as they are reputed to last for 20 years.
I purchased a Miele Tumble Dryer…
I purchased a Miele Tumble Dryer TWR780WP directly from Miele, and it arrived faulty out of the box. The dryer has a "Fault F2" and doesn't work.
I contacted Miele’s customer service and they have still come back with a solution.
As a premium brand, Miele’s lack of accountability is shocking. I’ve always wanted Miele appliancesd and I now regret buying them - gievn the atrocious customer service. This experience has destroyed my trust in Miele. A £2,349 appliance should work immediately and be supported by reliable service.
Avoid Miele until they improve their quality control and customer care. I will update this review if the issue is resolved fairly (refund/replacement).

Brand new Miele HR1622-3i induction…
Brand new Miele HR1622-3i induction cooktop does not work. Not a single burner. Displays FE53 error which is a major component failure. The technician can not come earlier that in 10 days! Overpriced lemon! Now I'm calling the customer service, just to sit on hold for half an hour. Very bad experience! The review for miele USA.

So disappointed with Miele Customer…
So disappointed with Miele Customer Service- bought a vacuum that stopped working within the 12 month warranty period.Called Miele and arranged for vacuum to be collected - vacuum was repaired and returned. I thought no more of it until I received an invoice via email fir £179.00 - when I contacted Miele - I was told the repair was not covered by the warranty (an issue with the filter not being cleaned). I asked why I had not been contacted and informed that the repairs weren’t covered and therefore I would have to pay - I explained I would not have paid £179.00 the machine only cost £269.00!! I was told this is documented in their terms and conditions - again I argued - no one explained this!! Several emails have been sent - the stock reply is the invoice stands!!! I should have read the T&Cs! I wrote a letter as advised by Citizens Advice - no response!! The invoice has must been given to a debt collecting agency!!
As a lifelong Miele customer- I feel angry, frustrated and so disappointed!!
I do not have an issue with the repair not being covered by the warranty! I should have been contacted and been informed of the cost of the repair and given confirmation that I was happy to pay!!
Appalling service by such a renowned company!!

Miele T1 Heat Pump Dryer
After posting my review of April 06/25 Miele Germany reached out to me. They sent a Miele technician 10 days later with the part who relaced the board which had died. There was no charge so we were very pleased with their response to our problem.
(Our Miele dryer completely died after only 4 years. No part is available in Canada and no date for when one would arrive from Germany. We were quoted over $400 for the technician to install and the part would be around $600, so a total of $1000 to repair! This is outrageous but even worse is the fact that the service department is unwilling to give us any indication of a date. Unacceptable service for a high end appliance.)

Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Paying top dollar (euro) for below average quality. We have the house full with Miele products and its a neverending misery. Service people are 90% about kicking the product and stating it's broken but they can certainly arrange for a seller to call and credit the service fee. I KNOW ITS BROKEN. I NEED IT FIXED, NOT TO GET RIPPED OFF AGAIN. For these amounts I expect a product that last longer than Whirlpool and at least if it doesn't it ser up in a way that it can be repaired.
Never again Miele. I hope someone reads this and finds it useful, responsible at Miele certainly don't care.

Shocking service
I’ve been waiting the best part of a month for a delivery of some dishwasher power discs. After weeks of constantly changing delivery dates they were supposed to have been delivered Saturday, then Monday then Tuesday. Their equally useless courier Parcelforce didn’t deliver them on Tuesday saying they were unable to but had left a card. No attempted delivery and no card. They’ve left them at a local post office apparently but I have no idea where. My advice is don’t waste your money on overpriced Miele products which need Miele supplies. In my opinion you don’t get what you pay for and the service is shocking. If it were possible I would give a minus number.

£59 to talk to a technician. Absolutely scandalous. Used to be a free service, now another opportunity to extract money from customers. A disgrace.

Misleading Delivery Promises and Lack of Transparency
I placed an order for a Miele vacuum cleaner on March 1st, with a promised delivery time of 1–3 days, clearly stated on their official website. It’s now late March, and I’ve been informed that the delivery will only take place in early April—over a month after the purchase.
Despite numerous conversations via email, phone, and social media, Miele never updated the advertised delivery time on their website, even though they were fully aware of ongoing delays. I’ve collected screenshots and written confirmations as proof that the company knowingly misled customers.
This is not only disappointing from a service standpoint, but also a serious issue of false advertising and breach of trust. I expected better from a premium brand like Miele.
I’ve since requested a full refund, including for accessories that were shipped prematurely. I sincerely hope Miele takes responsibility and reconsiders how it communicates with its customers moving forward.

Hidden repair charges for replacement of part for Miele 36 inch dual fuel range
I have a dual fuel 36 inch Miele range , the oven of which has failed three times over the last eighteen months . Four parts have been ordered over the last 18 months to repair the oven function . This due to the average two month wait for the part to arrive has led to the oven being nonfunctioning for six months of the last two years . The last part ordered ( control unit ) in December finally arrived late February of this year . The repair technician discovered upon the house call to replace it that this would involve removal of the gas cooktop which due to the design would irreparably damage the burners and that an entire set of burners would be needed to be onsite at the time in order to proceed .The cost of replacing a perfectly normally functioning gas cooktop was over $2000.00 at my expense. In addition to a long list of grievances with this company this has been the last straw. To sell a part costing $1000 to a customer without disclosing that the replacement of that part would result in destruction of the gas cooktop of the range and then hold the customer financially responsible for this very significant design flaw is more than egregious . Furthermore several emails sent to Miele regarding this issue have remained unanswered

Terrible Management Customer Service.
Terrible Management Customer Service.
I had the most frustrating experience with this company regarding the repair of my hoover that was only 6 months old! I had sent it off for repair and was told it would take a maximum of 2 weeks to be returned to me. I had not been updated at all and after the 2 weeks I had to phone them to ask what was happening with my hoover, the customer service representative was dismissive and unhelpful, I was told I would have to wait to hear from the repair workshop. It has been weeks of back and forth- always myself contacting them for an update several times having to wait on hold for over 45 minutes- 1 hour only to be met with a representatives that seemed uninterested in addressing my issue. They were rude, unprofessional, and failed to provide any viable solution. I had asked several times to be put through to a supervisor or manager- to be told that they refused to talk to me and I had to wait to hear from the workshop.
I have since tried to escalate my problem to a senior and have been totally ignored once again. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority here. After this experience, I will never purchase a Miele product again.

Extremely overpriced junk products
Miele is no longer about quality or service. Just fragile overpriced products. They now also expect you (the customer) to pay for any service or parts, even if you paid for any type of extended warranty. Their greedy management are really showing their greed. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of other brands with better quality and actual customer service.

Dreadful customer service
Dreadful customer service . Bought a new tumble dryer 4 months later red lights spoke to service agent as under warranty they did not tell me to check a sponge which had not been present in my 3 previous Miele dryers & this not explained in manual as sponge takes 2 days to dry when machine is not usable . Serviceman sold me a new sponge £ 35 bill followed for £170. I disputed this but have now been sent to a debt recovery agent bill now £260. I have repeatedly called & emailed asking someone get back to me .i am appalled at the lack of care from a company I have used for the last 45 years

Meile Washing Machine Breakdown
Washing Machine Breakdown.
The service Technicians are very good - skilled, professional & respectful of my property and me. They represent Miele well. Complete contrast to the after sale “Service” desk agents in Melie’s Overseas Support centre. I’ve had an abysmal customer care from them. Frustratingly they make a lot of mistakes and do not listen well to me as the client. We’ve had several appointments over 3 mths to fix a faulty washing machine. Ours is a 2 person job and this was explicitly stated at the outset when the machine broke down, and confirmed by the agents as registered on their system. Yet several times only one technician is booked or turns up so the job has to be rescheduled or abandoned for safety reasons. This has resulted in a lot of lost time and totally avoidable inconvenience and upset. They really demonstrate a dismissive approach to customer service. Very sloppy handling of automated text and email comms, repeatedly issuing update messages for incorrectly dated appointments (several for dates that have passed as those appointments were rescheduled and not attended). Very, very, very poor and does your Miele a complete disservice. Good quality products in my experience but shockingly bad service centre support which means I would not now recommend Miele as a company to do business with. You need to quickly improve standards and the competence of the service desk agents & Planners as they give Miele a bad name. Plus they tell you there is no one you can be put in touch with to relay any problem you encounter with the poor service. That is ridiculous, most annoying and pretty poor for clients who deserve better.

Miele UK - the worst customer service I've ever experienced
Be very, very wary about buying Miele appliances. We did so in view of their good reputation for quality and customer service. Our tumble dryer broke 4 months out of warranty, and I booked a service appointment online. No-one turned up. I chased on around five occasions to their support email address and received no reply, or at best an automated one. Now over a month on we still have no functioning tumble dryer, and I cannot get any response from Miele unless I use their online chat when they inform me they have to charge me for a service I've been trying to get for over a month and that a manager is "looking into the problems I've had". Also worth noting is that their Complaint Code of Conduct does not seem to be honoured - looks great on the website, means nothing in practice. There are many other companies that provide appliances in this price point, or cheaper, and I cannot see how their service can be any worse than Miele's. I've had better experiences with broadband providers....

Do not waste your money!
I purchased over £20,000 worth of Miele appliances end of 2021 but didn’t fit or use them until 2022 (new build property).
First issue was with my hob, but was rectified as it was under warranty. Second issue was with my coffee machine but was rectified under warranty. Thirdly my freezer ice maker was rectified under warranty. Ok they fixed the problems but it still inconvenienced me with time off work etc. Unfortunately my fridge has not been fixed as it’s now out of warranty. My argument is that is only just out of warranty and it cost over £2000 but Miele couldn’t care less. I bought all these appliances as I thought Miele was supposed to be one of best, but from day one, I have had issues. Surely if you’re paying that amount of money, you may get one issue but four different appliances having problems. I would have thought that giving how old the fridge is and the problems I’ve had previously, they would fix the fridge as a good will gesture. I actually made a complaint but it took Miele 4 weeks to call me and basically say tough! I thought I’d write this review to warn others of how bad this company is. I was shocked to see how bad the reviews were on trustpilot. Please do not waste your money. I’ve had appliances which cost nowhere near this amount, lasting years without any problems. Buy something cheaper, and have less hassle in your lives. Miele please don’t embarrass yourself further by writing a grovelling reply to my comments. If you want to do something productive, then fix my fridge!

Overpriced and overhyped.
It's amazing Miele has been able to survive so long with such appalling after-sales "service". I spent over £20K with Miele and was offered a free class for which, unbeknown to me, an invoice was raised but never sent to me (nor does it exist on my Miele online account). I reported a fault with my hob/extractor connection last June (2024) which has been ignored because Miele in its "wisdom" (not) has blocked my account due to an "unpaid invoice". It has taken days even to find out what the invoice was for (which I discovered, the representative had "no idea") and no one can tell me how to resolve this issue. There is no named person to contact. Ironically, I have been sent a message that I am now a Platinum Tier member as well as in the Connoisseur Club, for whatever that is worth (not much it seems, especially with a blocked account for an invoice that should never have been raised and wasn't even sent to me!). Oh, and with a couple of faulty appliances that Miele appears to have no interest in helping me with. 0/10 Miele.
Update: After writing to the MD I am pleased to say that I now have interest from Miele in helping me to resolve the issues.

Miele w1 is just the worst
Miele w1 is just the worst! The reset process is absolutely horrendous. Do yourself a favour and buy a brand that care about user experience. I shouldn't have to search the internet to do something as basic as switch programs. They seriously need to hire some usability experts and take a look at making their products user friendly again!
