I was upset that my credit card was charged without prior notice to renew a subscription I don't use. The quick and understanding response from support seems to be working to rectify this. I will be completely satisfied once I receive the refund.

I had a great experience with the customer support team. They were extremely kind, professional, and very helpful throughout the whole process.
My issue was handled quickly and clearly, and I really appreciated how responsive and understanding they were. One of the best customer service I have ever interacted with.

Customer service is terrible. Never used the app, when it came for annual renewal they took funds off my credit card. On the same day requested to cancel membership they declined to return funds.
The app it self is basic and glitchy.

It's one of my essential tools; I don't think I could work without it anymore. It's visually stunning, robust, with a truly impressive app, and it also has the advantage of allowing you to share the project with external collaborators. I had a minor issue with the payment method, and they resolved it immediately. They're fantastic.

I am a law professor teaching criminal law and use MindMeister to develop mindmaps for my course. The students find them very useful, and MindMeister provides immediate and very helpful support when needed. The application is very user friendly and intuitive.

Customer Service is only through e-mail and the initial responses were quick and stated I was entitled to cancel my subscription and only be charged one month. But now 8 days since the last communication and no response. Plus attempting to login to my supposed account is impossible the capchata "Verify you are not a robot" doesn't work no matter what browser you use I tried the most popular 3 and if you attempt to reset your password to gain entry it says it sent a mail that never arrives and spam is empty. Not impressed I will never use any of there products again because of the customer service process. I am canceling the credit card I used to ensure no more charges from this company since they explained to me it really is my only option since recurring renewals may still transfer if you replace your card. I am beginning to wonder who will be buying anything in the future with AI, bots, a lack of civility and just plain common sense that seems to be the norm in corporate organizations anymore.

Their support doesn't exist at all. Tried contacting using all methods but one reply came after few weeks and then never came back again. I have cancelled all my plans with them. Not recommended at all. There are better products and support in the market with much lower price.

They SUCK. I can't cancel online. Cancel button does not work. The phone number on my AmExp account for the charge is disconnected.

They do not respond to emails requesting a refund, even when the request is made within the legal 14-day period.

I have emailed MindMeister's "customer service" 5 times over the last 3 weeks. The first email was acknowledged. The rest have been ignored. I've used MindMeister for many years, but am now switching.

I have been using Mindmeister for over 5 years, and it was effortless and easy. But now, everything seems hard and to be breaking.

I've been trying to simply export a mindmap to a PDF and it does not work.

A simple function like that.

I can't even drag and drop maps accross folders, something that should be a basic functionality.

I'm quite dissappointed with customer service also. It took them over 1 month (!) to answer my last question.

Now I'm waiting for them again to answer why I can't simply export a mindmap to a pdf.

I’ve been using MindMeister for over 10 years. I’ve created well over 1,000 maps. I used to run client sessions live, building maps in real-time. It was fast, elegant, and intuitive—a true tool in the best sense of the word.

Now? It’s a bloated, visually distracting mess, that is anything BUT intuitive.

What used to take one click now takes three or four. Critical features like adding emojis, icons, or adjusting visual structure—things that were once effortless—have been buried behind awkward menus. The interface has been redesigned to look modern and colorful… at the expense of actual functionality.

Worse, UI elements now literally cover up the content I’m working on. Dialog boxes float right over the nodes I’m trying to edit. This isn’t just a minor UX issue—it completely disrupts live collaboration and destroys workflow.

It honestly feels like the developers wanted to impress investors or make a splashy redesign for the sake of appearances, without any regard for longtime users. The result? A product that actively slows me down and gets in my way. It's no longer a tool—it's a distraction.

If you’re a professional, consultant, or coach who needs to move fast and work clean—look elsewhere. MindMeister has lost its edge. It's heartbreaking to say, but what used to be brilliant software has become junk.

I am extremely unhappy with how things went for me with the MindMeister. I created a private account using my student email and started creating my mind maps. Within a week, I have received an email from another student at the university I do not know, that she received my invoices containing my address and all other private information. Bear in mind, I do not know the student in any capacity, so naturally I am very surprised by her email. I email MindMeister, no reply for an entire week. The other student in the meantime has also reached out to then and has received no reply. Then reply came in saying they are speaking with the developers. Huh? The developers can help with a GDPR breach? OK! I go into my account and see that that same student has been added to my account and can see my work. To me, this is completely unacceptable.

Completely non-functional application. It gets worse and worse with every update. I don't recommend anyone to experience that frustration when we have 50 architectures and with every update the programmers break something.

Poor app: Scale not good, copy paste, control +z not work..... and so many other things

This company should be out of the market. They are worse than any mafia in the world. Four years ago, they automatically renew my six month plan because I forgot to click on "cancel subscription". I contacted them the same day, saying I was not using their service and needed a refund. They never refund me.

On March 26, 2025, I needed a mind mapping tool again and decided to give them another shot because the integration feature between Mind meister and Meister Task sounded amazing, additionally I wanted access to more than 3 ming maps. So, I bought a pro plan. I was so excited and happy. Well, a few seconds later the integration didn't work at all, I just couldn't convert a mind map topic (node) into a task.
Then I asked someone in my team to create a Free Mind meister account and try the integration with Meister Task. Everything works ok on his end but not mine. I have been trying like crazy to get a hold of customer service but it is impossible. I'm not used to bad customer service.

But things just got worse. When sharing the map in my "Team Maps" and giving access to it automatically charges me another pro plan. Oh my goodness I couldn't use my maps integrated with tasks and they automatically charge me for other accounts.

I'm kindly asking for a refund because their software does not work on my end:

It is illegal and immoral charge people when your service does not meet expectations and do not even care about replying back.

I think this is a German company. I do not recommend using companies there or Singapore. I only had really bad experiences.

I paid to print a map but I can’t print the map I need, I asked a refund at the same day. It’s been nine days, they just ignored. I tried to cancel and I also not able to. Terrible customer service.
Finally, after almost a month, and after they promised to refund, and I had to chase then, my money was refunded.

I am deeply disappointed with MindMeister's handling of my refund request. On Christmas Day 2024, they charged £43.20 to my account without prior notification or consent, despite my subscription being inactive and unintended for renewal.

I immediately contacted their support team (Ticket #399753), providing all necessary details, including:

It has been weeks, and I have received no response to my repeated emails, which is unacceptable. I even shared that my registered email address (from my university days) is now inaccessible and requested an update to my current email.

This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially from a reputable company. Ignoring refund requests and failing to address legitimate issues erodes trust and loyalty.

I kindly ask Mind Meister to honour my refund request and improve their customer service processes. Until then, I cannot recommend this service to anyone.

I am a paying user of Mindmeister which until recently has been a program that I have been clearly satisfied with. Unfortunately, the program has become significantly worse with the latest update. What was a simple and nice program has unfortunately become less functional and quite ugly.
I will look for a better program.
