Absolutely horrendous from start to…
Absolutely horrendous from start to finish. Cocked up delivery times, which meant would miss them arriving the last day of term. Upgraded to premium processing to arrive 2 days before end of term, they did not. Once arrived 5 days after school closed, the quality is appalling - over 120 books - most pages crinkled and stuck together. Now fighting for a resolution for £600+ worth of paper that is only good for making a fire! And to add, the most unhelpful, unfriendly staff both on the phone and on their chat messaging service online.

Hi Amanda, We’re very sorry for the need to adjust the estimated delivery dates, and the issues experienced with the courier. We completely understand how frustrating this has been.
As outlined in the agreed Terms of Use, all production and delivery dates are estimates and cannot be guaranteed. However, we’re sorry that the order arrived later than expected and for the inconvenience this caused.
On Friday, we asked for all copies to be collected and returned so that our production team could inspect them, but we have not yet received a response. Please work with us to arrange the collection, as we need to follow this process to establish what happened and determine the most appropriate resolution. Under the agreed terms, all copies must be returned for us to consider a full reprint or refund.
Books left outside or exposed to changes in temperature and humidity can sometimes develop temporary rippling, which may settle after being brought indoors for a few days. However, we still want to inspect the order fully and address your concerns properly and we look forward to hearing back from you as soon as possible to allow us to progress your refund request.

Everyone wants a copy
I ordered 30 copies of a book we made for kids at school. The price was very competitive and the customisation options were really good. I chose satin finish and a nice yellow inside paper for the outer pages. You can upload design files but I opted to supply designs to Thier online editor that handles bleed, margins etc. Delivery was on time and very reasonable for a printers on a standard turnaround. Print quality is great you wouldn't know it's made to order it has the same finish as a book mass produced.
I didn't need to deal with customer service. If I could change one thing it would be to make a single copy affordable so I could do a test run first. It felt like quite a leap of faith to go from 0 to 30 copies.

I've used Mixam several times before…
I've used Mixam several times before and have always had a very good experience. I like the level of detail that seems to go into checks before proceeding to print, though conscious that sometimes it feels as though the system highlights technicalities that don't appear to be there. Nevertheless I'm happy to have a 'better to check, better to be safe than sorry' approach. My only worry each time is whether a format that I might have used before, remains available. But other than that would never choose to go anywhere else
