Really helpful and good service

We had Jason around today to fix a problem with the tap in our new build home. He was really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Did a really thorough job and explained everything to us in detail as he was going through it.

Had a good experience with the support team as well in advance, we had to move our first appointment at short notice and they were really helpful.

Would definitely use M&N again.

Not a great experience

Followed their process, completed their form, they didn't call back as promised, I chased ............. only to be told they are not taking on any new customers for a few weeks or months hence there is nothing they were willing to do!
Why waste peoples time if that is the case - just put it on your website. Not a great way to endear yourself to the local community!

Rubbish customer services non-responsive

Called this morning to try to arrange a boiler service I was told I would receive a call back within an hour. No call was received. No wonder their reviews are shocking I will be taking my services elsewhere and will pass this message on far and wide rubbish service rubbish company.

Broken tap - not fixed for nearly 4 months

Bought a house through bellway, and have had problems with my kitchen tap since July 2022, which still hasn’t been fixed by M&N Plumbing. The issue was reported right away, and a plumber was due to come out and look at the issue. I stayed in ALL DAY for this plumber to turn up, and still no show by 4pm, baring in mind there offices close at 5pm. I’m ringing numerous of times to see where this plumber is… he didn’t show up until 7pm that evening!! Looked like he had gone home, forgot about the job and then come back out as I was kicking up a fuss about where this plumber was (this guy was supposedly meant to be a supervisor as well). Anyway the plumber come out and couldn’t undo the nut to get to the cold water valve. He suggested we needed a whole new tap to be replaced. Off he went, and supposedly ordered a new tap. 3 weeks later we still had no update, I chased this up and was told it can take about 5 weeks to be delivered to my house. So I held out the 5 weeks, and a cold water valve was sent to my property, NOT a tap! I notified bellway that a part had then been delivered, to which they contacted yourselves to arrange for another plumber to come out. After about 6/7 weeks, another plumber come out and come in and said, I’m here to change the valve on your tap. I said no the whole tap needs changing. Anyway he had the same issue, couldn’t undo the nut and looked at the part they sent out and said why have they sent out a nut and for me to change it, if they knew you needed a new tap! So two different plumbers come out and said THE SAME THING. Not only are you wasting my time, you’re wasting your own!!! The second plumber said befor he left, that he’d order a new tap this time and get this sorted. I’ve now waited since the end of August for this “tap” to arrive, still nothing!! I’ve chased this up numerous times with no update. The last I spoke to bellway two weeks ago, they have said that the plumbers have said it’s the valve AGAIN. When two of their own plumbers have said the whole tap needs ordering and replacing!!!! How does it take 3 months nearly 4 months to get a blooming tap and replace it. At this rate, I’m not even hopeful this is gonna be fixed by the end of the year. Absolutely disgusting. Im living with a hot water tap ONLY downstairs at the moment and have a disabled child which is reliant on cold water for drinking constantly!! But no one seems to be listening to me!! Would it not be quicker for me to buy a tap, you replace it and you reimburse me for the tap?!

Poor work, then charge you to put it right

They fitted the heating and plumbing in our house, worst job ever!! Things have been constantly going wrong, we asked them back to fix a leaking radiator (which they fitted poorly) and they charged nearly £80.

£80 for something they fitted incorrectly and for something that took less than 2 minutes to repair.

This company is an absolute joke! The work is poor and then they charge you to put right something they did wrong in the first place! If I had been told they were going to charge, I would have gone to someone else, I only went to them as it was there fault it was leaking, so surely they should put right there wrong for free!!

Turned up at wrong time.

I have had to wait 5 weeks to have the Bellway and incompetent 3rd party plumber (MNHeating) come out to investigate an ongoing blockage in the main shower. It was meant to be a joint visit. The plumber from MNHeating turned up at 8am and then leaves as my sister has to go work (despite me telling both parties that I wouldn't be home till 9am) and then Bellway turns up at 9am asking where the engineer is LOL. And now I have to wait another 3.5 weeks! Shocking service, why isn't MNHeating liasing with Bellway. Poor service and its exactly what I expect of the plumbing industry sadly.

Issue resolved very quickly :)

Recently moved into a brand new property & had issues with my hot water. Customer service was excellent and had the issue resolved very quickly around my time schedule. Very happy, thank you.

Broke our heating during service and charged us £130 to fix it

I used M&N heating to service our boiler and hot water tank. Something happened during the service that resulted in the heating being stuck on. They refused to consider the possibility they may have damaged the system and they charged me £130 to fix the fault. They wouldn't even come out and look at the issue for free they just sent me a quote for the work. Given that our heating was stuck on full, they even took 48 hours to come and look at it and said they couldn't come the next day.

Recently I booked an engineers visit to…

Recently I booked an engineers visit to look into low water pressure in my property. During my appointment as requested I turned on the taps/shower ( en-suite & bathroom) and the next moment may be after a minute i have been told that’s a normal water pressure and there’s nothing he can do without analysing further.

Due to his one minute visit I have been charged with call out charges.in my initial call to customer care about low water pressure basically they can do a preliminary check instead of sending an engineer and simply charging for a minute stay which is absolutely unacceptable.

I also strongly wont recommend this company as I had a very bad experience.

S Basina

Shoddy work and shoddy after sales service

Avoid this plumbing service. They did an 18 month project at our house and everything that could go wrong did go wrong.
* Incorrect installation of solar thermal panels - 12months+ of them not working properly with the company refusing to admit any fault.
* Incorrect installation of a wood burning stove. Expensive remedial work needed.
* No lagging of hot and cold taps so cold taps run at 50+ dg first thing in the morning.
* Pressure problems in heating system for over a year with cold rooms and cold radiators.
* A series of leaks caused by faulty workmanship.
* Worst of all, a refusal to admit liability, and a refusal to service equipment they have installed.
A badly managed company with poor quality staff that puts the customer last, just ahead
of workmanship. Avoid!
