DO NOT GO HERE!!!

DO NOT GO HERE!

Mobile wouldn’t charge or turn on, Battery replaced for £80, Picked up on 30% Got home - Put charger in and it was showing as ‘charging’ but creeping down from 30% to 0% within 15 minutes, Went back, He insisted I wrap my charger around the phone which I had already tried, Bought a charger from here to also try, That also didn’t work, Waited 4 hours with NO update after handling over a temporary number, Turned up myself to the man playing a game on his mobile whilst my phone was sitting on a shelf UNCHARGED,

After 4 visits I was ready to throw in the towel and buy a new phone but LUCKILY I went into CEX before making my final decision, They said it looks like NO WORK has been carried out on my phone, The man said this was a clear attempt to scam me, The charging port needed a slight clean and a better quality charger than I had at home and that was the only issue regarding my mobile, It’s now charging faster than ever with no issues at all!

You are also liable for any damage caused to the device while the repair is carried out which he failed to tell me until I questioned a crack on the right hand corner of my phone, Told me he’d replace the screen for £9 under the original price asked for a screen replacement, I refused,

I could write all day… Just avoid this place unless you’d watch your bank card burn away, Saying that… THEY ONLY TAKE CASH!!! Again he failed to mention this,

Just stay away.

This company is unprofessional

This company is unprofessional. We had two phones with cracked screens, one iPhone 8 and one Motorola. They said the iPhone would be repaired in an hour and the Motorola would be ready later that evening. We returned after an hour and the iPhone was indeed fixed. I was a little worried that it had a rubber band around it. They said it was just to keep a note there. The iPhone seemed to be OK. Later that evening they called and said that the Motorola would be delayed to the next day because the screen was "faulty"...? We returned in the evening the next day. The Motorola was covered with rubber bands. They said we had to leave it on for an hour (for the glue to dry). When we removed the rubber bands after two hours, there was a lot of glue residue around the screen. The new screen was not multitouch (only one figer can be used at any given time). I paid for the most expensive screens (60 pounds for iPhone and 80 pounds for Motorola) in both cases, and yet the Motorola screen was just single touch... I wish we had spent the extra money and used a proffesional company instead.

My phone had a cracked screen

My phone had a cracked screen. They quoted for the replacement and I left it with them. On my return, the phone was covered in Elastic Bands! I was told the glue was still drying and not to take them off for an hour or two. I was then charged 50% more than the quote - they said the parts cost more! Didn't believe them. Also, when I took the Elastic Bands off, the new screen was cracked. This is not an ethical trader!!!!! No resolution found.

If I could give no stars I would

If I could give no stars I would. I sent my Tom Tom that wasn’t charging to them. They were unable to repair it and charged me £29 to send it back. I subsequently remembered it was under warranty. I returned it to Tom Tom and they repaired it in a day. It was repaired not replaced as the device had the same serial number. I contacted mobile repair and asked for a refund of my £29. They were adamant that Tom Tom hadn’t repaired my device. I expect a lot of people don’t pay the £29 and so the company gets to keep the irreparable unit. These people aren’t honest. AVOID AT ALL COST

Where do I start

Where do I start

There should be a mark out of minus
Sent my phone off for repair in October
Came back a week later and the phone was turning its self on and off and in the mean time while this problem was going on a missed a phone call to say my sister had
Died because of the problem the phone had
They didn't even say sorry for the problems.
So I had to send it back off again for it turning on and off and it was back to me within 4 days and guess what still same.

Spoke to a supervisor she said send it back to which I was told they allacate 7 working days which is way over the days and still not received it back which the person said it will be back to me before Xmas.

Horrible company I will never buy another Sony phone after this experience
Even having to pay for use of another phone

Dreadful - avoid this company at all costs

Dreadful - avoid avoid avoid. Just pay the extra and use Apples own service. (Also trading as ipodrepaircentre.com)
Our ipod nano 5 battery dies (common issue).
Sent in for repair for their advertised 2-3 day turnaround
Several weeks later with no update, I called them and they were apparently awaiting parts (battery??). They eventually returned it 'repaired'. So the battery was great but now the headphone socket had become intermittent. So stupidly, and perhaps naively, I returned it for this repair again (2-3 day advertised turnaround again?) and soon got an automated email advising they were awaiting parts. 5 weeks later they contact me again to advise that it is beyond economical repair due to the previous socket being glued in which they state was done by a bodged repair.
So I am left asking, where did this glue come from (it hasn't been for repair anywhere else!), how did it take 5 weeks and 'awaiting parts' to discover this? And they won't return it without payment of £19.95 for their diagnostic labour.
They refuse to discuss or communicate in any way about this.
Seriously folks, avoid at all costs (I have proof of all the above)

Zero Stars

Actually I would have given this company zero stars.
Be warned this company goes under different names and emails:-
Mobilerepaircentre
Ipodrepaircentre
This particular company is based 5 Rowley Way, Roslin Road, London W3

I sent my ipod nano 4th generation for repair. It worked, however screen had lines across and i felt it wasnt holding its charge. So I was looking at LCD screen replacement and possibly battery replacement.

I went online and filled out relevant details and given a quote, I then sent my ipod in.

Once they received my ipod they issued a requite - yet when i logged in to my account it wasnt registering any different.

After about 4-5 weeks I telephoned - they couldnt find my ipod by the reference number I was quoted but found it eventually and told me that they were working on it and should be done next couple of days.

The following day i received an email saying it was all done and had been posted back - strange as no request for payment had been asked for. The following day the package arrived - a working ipod - but silver 8gb when mine was a black 16gb unit.

After several unanswered phone calls and an email - they responded. They had located my ipod and were working on it.

Two days later they informed me that my ipod was beyond economical repair and that they would post back no charge.

When I received it back I found to my horror that there was signs of mal-treatment to the ipod (bent case and a different colour insert had been put in). And that it was totally dead and wouldn't charge.

So actually this was returned in a worse state then it was originally.

Case ongoing with a compensation claim going in

Beware, they may not be as cheap as they seem.

My experience with them was most unsatisfactory and left me feeling seriously ripped off.

I contacted them as my phone was dead and wasn't charging. I assumed the battery needed replacing and was quoted £44.95 for this . (When I took my phone into the shop the charge mysteriously increased to £49.95.) Days later they told me the battery was OK but the charging connector needed replacing and they quoted £59.95 for doing so. I thought this pricey but if I wanted my phone back I'd have to pay the £59.95 or a £19.95 minimum charge (not previously mentioned) and get my phone fixed somewhere else. So I agreed for them to fix it. Out of curiosity some days later I phoned round a few repairers to see what they'd charge for replacing the charging connector on my model of phone and was quoted between £38 and £45. I then phoned Mobile Repair Centre and they quoted £39.95. So I asked why they'd overcharged me £20 and am still waiting for a reply (not holding my breath). I'm appalled at their behaviour and would never use them again.

I would never recommend this TO ANYONE

I would never recommend this TO ANYONE. Brought my phone for a screen repair (it fell to the ground and was totally smashed), and it was correctly repaired, but it took them 23 DAYS... That is almost 3 weeks with no phone, which I need for work too.

They claimed they were waiting for a particular piece (which was supposed to take 10 days to arrive, 12 in the worst scenario), but after calling several times, I complaint and asked them for a discount for such a long wait, and surprise surprise, I received a message that same day claiming that my phone was now repaired and ready to collect.

Now the screen looks alright, but when I type on it and try to write messages, some letters won't work...

Also, when I brought my phone to repair, I asked them to add a tempered glass. They said that I should not worry for that, as they could do it the same day I collected it. I asked them to double check as it's not a very common phone and they probably needed to order the tempered glass for that particular model. However, they assured me it wasn't necessary. Well, guess what happened when I went to collect the phone. They didn't have the tempered glass as it was "an uncommon model" (ie not Samsung or iPhone)...

I would seriously advise anyone to AVOID this place. It is cheaper than most places in London, but I truly believe it is NOT worth it.

Solved a small fault and CREATED A BIGGER ONE!!!

First of all I would like to state that in this instance the rude conduct does not apply as the Mobile Repair Centre Ltd engineer was very polite and friendly the entire time. However, THE REPAIR SERVICE WAS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT STORY...

In November 2016, after months of having an iPod Video 80GB which would only play through one ear of any earphones inserted into it (even brand new ones) and learning that Apple's repairs for products that have out-lived their Applecare cover (as my iPod had) costs up to £300.00 or more, I reluctantly sought out an alternative repair company.

I came across the Mobile Repair Centre online and based on the amount of good reviews put my iPod in for repair - which cost £49.95 in total. The initial repair took around two or three days and I collected my iPod which was now playing out of both left and right earphone perfectly. I was relieved thinking finally I've found a private repair company that is 'honest' and 'does what it says it will'.

However, by the following day I discovered that there was a new problem which I had never had with this or any iPod I'd owned before.
I noticed that the iPod was randomly pausing of its own accord during every song whether or not the hold button was on. I noticed that the pauses which were quite frequent (probably every 30 seconds) became even more frequent if my hand touched the headphone socket, if the earphones whirled in the socket, if the earphone stem brushed on my pocket or hand whilst being lifted out of my pocket or if the iPod turned or shook too much whilst inside my pocket.

I took the iPod back to the Mobile Repair Centre and reported the problem to the engineer. Instead of coming clean at that point and owning up to the problem, he created some cock and bull story about how the earphones I were using were too cheap (and of lesser quality) and had over time caused the initial headphone socket problem in my iPod. Having owned iPods for 10 years and used all varieties and price levels of earphone/headphone I did doubt the credibility of his excuse but willing to test his theory considering the earphone I currently used was only £5, I accepted his story.

I immediately went out and bought a £17 pair of brand name earphones, pushed them in my iPod and lo and behold after a few seconds of play the involuntary pausing fault began again.

Now distrusting of the Mobile Repair Centre Ltd, I returned the iPod to him and he took it back for further repairs. After around four or five days I collected the iPod and by the following day realized that although the pausing weren't as frequent as it was before I took it back, the device still paused involuntarily, if shook or if the earphone lead was spun or touched too much.

At that point in the process I was actually tired of returning to the shop (which is across the other side of London and quite a long/awkward journey for me) and decided that it might be easier to just buy a new iPod and did not return mine to be properly repaired AS I RIGHTLY SHOULD HAVE.

I have not yet bought the new iPod and my Video 80GB model is still pausing randomly. Even though I did not follow this matter to its fullest extent I felt it necessary to write this account of my experience with the Mobile Repair Centre and URGE ALL FUTURE CUSTOMERS (ESPECIALLY THOSE NEEDING THEIR IPODS REPAIRED) TO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!!! THE ENGINEERS HERE DO NOT RESOLVE FAULTS THEY CREATE THEM!! IF YOU HAVE AN IPOD TO REPAIR OUTSIDE OF YOUR APPLECARE PLEASE TAKE IT TO APPLE - THE MOBILE REPAIR CENTRE ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY (QUITE FRANKLY, I THINK THAT THEY'RE A BUNCH OF THIEVES) AND YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY!!! As a previous reviewer said I really don't know how they were able to rack up so many good reviews - I suspect these many "happy customers" don't exist!

Save yourself the money, disappointment and unnecessary aggravation. DON'T USE THE MOBILE REPAIR CENTRE!!!

Exccellent job. Excellent service.

The diagnosis was quick. The battery swollen pushing the screen out, what caused the failure of it.
In less than 2 hours the battery and the screen were changed, and for a affordable price. The telephone is now like a new iPhone. Brilliant service.

Service above and beyond

These people are great. I have a LG G5 and i needed the glass infront of the twin lense replaced. Firstly they ordered the part WITHOUT TAKING A PAYMENT UPFRONT, SECONDLY they fast tracked my repair again without taking extra for fast track service and THIRDLY they fitted a screen protector that i DIDN'T buy from them with no extra charge. All i can say to these guys is THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR OUTSTANDING SERVICE AND I WILL RECOMMEND YOU TO EVERYBODY THAT I KNOW, REGARDS FROM SCOTT LEWIS.

Cracked Screen - BlackBerry Priv

Being unable to find anywhere local to where I lived even capable of repairing a Priv, I was delighted to find the Mobile Repair Centre via a Google search.

I contacted them on the Friday to confirm they could do the screen replacement. On Saturday, I travelled into London. They were less than 2 minutes walk from West Kensington Tube station. I dropped the phone into them and three hours later they emailed me to tell me it was done.

Sure enough, when I picked it up it was looking like new again.

A great job. Very professional and very easy to recommend. Especially if you have a Priv!
