VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Now in Administration!

So paid for a Kitchen last Wednesday from Moores, Friday realised one of the the corner units has the door on the wrong side of the corner unit which would mean a slight change to the kitchen plan so rang Moores today(Monday )at 9am, was told it was fine to alter this as it has only been 2 full working days since we placed the order. Moores ring me back at 10:30am to tell that the whole kitchen has now been manufactured already( it's all available from the warehouse shelf) and if I want changes I will have to pay extra for them and just keep the units I don't need anymore.

This is really poor customer service as the Kitchen designer that made the original mistake, I didn't see it until 2 days after paying for the kitchen but I'm now liable to pay for that mistake that they made.

Anyway, they can't deliver the kitchen for another few weeks even though it was "fully manufactured in 2 days"!!

VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER!!

I just learned a day later that Moores has gone into administration yesterday, which might explain why they took my money

Not fit for purpose

We have Moores kitchen units in a new build house (Bovis). They are not fit for purpose - many properties on our development are experiencing peeling away of the wrap on the doors. Neither Bovis (claiming out of the 2 year warranty) nor Moores (need to address with Bovis) will take responsibility for a below standard product that is not fit for purpose. Kitchen cupboards need to sit next to ovens and we should expect those cupboard doors to be able to sustain that heat for many years, not 2.
I note multiple other reviews on Trust pilot with this same issue and Moores do not address this poor quality in any of them, signposting back to builders in every case.
You are the manufacturers - address this issue, take responsibility, tell us what you are doing to improve this quality issue and stop passing the buck.
If you are a builder - do not use Moores.
If you are looking to purchase privately - don’t.

Partially sealed kitchen cabinet edge

It is really sad that the wrapped kitchen cabinet are all peeling off under 16 months of installation. I hate to put this out here but I still hope Moores can improve on this.

My main concern is that despite evidence of manufacturing problem where edge of the cabinet from bottom to the top is not well sealed, Moores insists that it warping from kitchen items use. Not sure how kitchen item use will affect the edge up to the top. Wish I had option to choose supplier when buying new-built. And now the builder can't accept liability because Moores is insisting it is not a manufacture defect. Complete messy situation

Great experience with Moores Direct…

I had a great experience working with Moores Direct, Brittany was incredibly helpful and really listened to my vision. Her ideas and guidance made a big difference that enhanced the final design. The pricing worked within my budget to deliver great value, and I’m very happy with the outcome. I would highly recommend Brittany to anyone looking for a kitchen designer who listens, delivers value and makes the overall process easy.

Absolutely love our new kitchen supplied by Moores Furniture. We opted for the Kensington units from the Definitive range and these are really solid and well made. Our fitters were amazing and did a fantastic professional job which included bespoke pieces to really make our kitchen as we imagined it.

Fantastic Quality & Brilliant Service!

Moores Furniture Group supplied my mother’s new kitchen and we couldn’t be happier. The team were incredibly supportive throughout the design process and really helped bring everything together perfectly. Delivery was smooth with no missing items or damages, and everything was a breeze to install.
The quality is excellent and most importantly, my mother is absolutely delighted with her new kitchen. Highly recommend!

Poor quality

I don’t recommend these kitchens. After just two years they start to fall apart the veneer peels off, and the manufacturer refuses to provide any warranty beyond two years because the kitchen came with a developer-built home. If they claim to offer high quality, they should provide a longer warranty. Two years is a joke for a kitchen that costs this much.

Hi Magda, we are sorry to hear that you are having an issue with your kitchen, we want to ensure the best quality for our customers. Warranty widely varies and is dependent on how the kitchen was originally purchased.

Unfortunately, in your case, the warranty does not sit directly with Moores, but rather your developer, as they were the direct purchaser and therefore our customer. As a result, your developer would have agreed a warranty with Moores (in this instance, 2 years) so therefore this falls into their responsibility.

We are sorry that we are unable to consider your concerns that you have raised as they have not been reported from the direct purchaser i.e your developer. Any issues and concerns you do have should be instead directed towards your developer who can get in touch with our team to try and resolve.

Apologies if you are disappointed with this outcome, however you can purchase any replacements required through our Moores Direct Team who would be happy to assist you, the team are experienced in working closely with homeowners to upgrade their Moores kitchens. Great help in ordering additional units for new build home.

I’ve had such a great experience with this company. From the very beginning, Emily Maltby was incredibly helpful in designing my kitchen island. She quickly understood exactly what I was looking for and went out of her way to make sure every detail was perfect. Her professionalism, knowledge, and prompt response made the whole process so easy and enjoyable.

I also had a very positive experience dealing with Jamie Sweeney when ordering additional utility units. He was equally professional, courteous, and efficient — a real pleasure to deal with.

Overall, I’m absolutely delighted with both the service and support I received.

Terrible quality paint on the…

Terrible quality paint on the cupboards, the fitter couldn’t believe how poor it was for the price of the kitchen. He had fitted half price kitchens & seen better. When ringing for paint multiple times to touch up the cupboards we are still waiting, this has been since December.

Not impressed! Terrible customer service.

Great Service Throughout!

Everyone at Moores has been extremely helpful in getting us some additional units to match the kitchen of the house we bought. From helping to select the right units to suit our needs, to the delivery and customer care throughout, its been great. One of the unit doors was damaged prior to delivery and Moores were great in communicating this to us and getting us a replacement ASAP.

Expensive

The backboards could have been better quality rather than cheap and flimsy hardboard for the cost of what we paid. Over priced units.

Great service

Purchased our kitchen via Homebase over a year ago. Had a few mishaps along the way concerning the builder I choose to use and ended up needing to contact Moore’s direct which in turn also meant needing some replacement items. Excellent service via email and although incorrect hinges sent on 3 occasions we finally got there and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you for all your help.

Exceptional quality gorgeous look

Exceptional quality gorgeous look. Well built by Redrow. I wanted extra shelves and extra drawer liner and some touch up paint. I rang through was advised to put my request on an email. Then they would invoice me. And then if it was okay to reply and then pay. I did this and my goods arrived! They have been amazing in every way.

Extremely poor quality doors, unethical warranty policy and expensive.

Extremely poor quality doors, unethical warranty policy and expensive.

Had a replacement dishwasher decorative door fitted 12 months ago by the builder who ordered it from Moore’s after the previous one fell off (poor quality chipboard). The replacement recently fell off for the same reason.

I contacted Moore’s to be told that the product warranty did not apply because the builder ordered it and therefore despite them accepting that it was only provided 12 months ago, the warranty for the new door started in 2019 when I first had my kitchen installed (and the previous door fitted). However if I had purchased the door then a new warranty would have started!

Despite agreeing that it wasn’t right and that warranty cannot begin on a product that wasn’t in existence until 6 years later I was left with no choice but to buy a new one for £130. And guess what, it has warranty.

What I experienced felt unethical.

The new one started to fall off and the only fix was to glue it on with a strong silicon.
