Terrible

Terrible, they use 3Rd party companies with zero quality management and once you're in the middle of a move there is not much leverage you can use...came with 2 trucks and one driver each to move a 5bedroom house we carried more then they did... Never again

I recommend Move24.

I feel satisfied and have received a professional response all the way through. Was a bit thoughtful when two relocation boys showed up, of whom only one could speak Swedish reasonably well. Everything went well, fast and easy. I recommend Move24.

Didn´t have to worry at all about my move, the moving company arrived on time (they were even 5 min early), they were fast and efficient and everything went smoothly. Had a few fragile items - nothing broke. Very happy customer!

Great movers, absolutely terrifying company

The movers were absolutely great.

Move24 was a whole different story. They got several items wrong on the list so the movers had to improvice and also bring in another truck to fit it all.
Move24 themselves were very good until the payment was done, then they stopped answering the phone and also the e-mails. I was absolutely certain that it was a fraud since they stopped responding to phone calls.

One negative thing about the movers is that the only language they spoke was English even tho it was a company in Sweden.

I hope I will have enough space to tell the whole story, because they have ruined everything they could...
Moving was booked and also it was agreed they will bring the boxes 1 day before. My husband stayed at home all day just for this reason and at 4pm the boxes were still nowhere and not a word from them... We both called them (it is impossible to reach them...) and I reached them finally, and they called us back inhalf an hour that there is a problem and the boxes will come next day, with the movers.
Next day, on the day of the moving, no one showed up until 10am and we were worried, so started to phone again, because we moved far, I mean a 6-7 hours drive minimum, and there were no boxes and no movers, and we knew we have a lot of stuff. After an hour, we were able to reach their customer service and it turned out, that the driver had a break down, his tire broke out completely, he had our number and he phoned us and sent us picture as well, it was a disaster... We had 2 nights booked in a hotel, because the moving out should took place on Sat and the moving in should took place on Mon. In the beginning move24 promised that they will fix the van and the movers will come, but after several hours of waiting and phoning both to move24 and the driver, it turned out that the driver completely cancelled the moving, and there is no one that move24 could send over... Can you imagine? No backup service, nothing! The guy at customer service promised that they will have a team on Monday to arrange our moving asap, but there is nothing else he could do earlier. We were promised that the hotel bills will be covered by them, but I insisted that they send an email about it (and I did it so well...)
So on Monday a team came, but they said they cannot finish it that day, so they will come back next day, but we emphasised that we travel to the new location on Tuesday, so they have to come in time on Tuesday to finish the moving, because we still have to travel that 6-7-8 hours to the new location (with a cat!), but they said they have something else on Tue morning, so they finally came in the afternoon, and guess what time was when we were able to leave and start our long journey? 6PM!!!! Dead tired and so fed up. I was already shouting on the phone several times on the phone with move24, and then those *** started to threaten the movers that they will not get paid. Obviously we have already paid to move24, so on what basis dare they threaten their third-party movers that they will not get paid?!
So we arrived to the new destination on Tue night, at midnight, and the movers came at around 9am, and they moved us in, they were honestly very nice guys, and they did their best in this terrible situation, but this is no credit to move24 but these were subcontractors, so your moving does always depends on the subcontractors, if they are good, then you are lucky, if not, then you s*ck, like us.
There were a few damages, and let`s not forget about the hotel bills, so I have prepared a list with photos (at that time they did not mention at all that you have 24 hours to do this, so bear it in mind), but you can imagine my SHOCK when I phoned them few weeks later and they said their usual processing time regarding claims is 7-8 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the heck?! Is this company even real? How can a company can operate with this atitude and habit? Is this even legal?!
And they denied the coverage of the hotel bills, so luckily I had the email, and sent it back to them, but despite, it took at least 3 months to get the hotel bills payment from them. Our other claim, about the furniture damages, is still open, and I cannot reach them for 3 months now, They just don`t pick up their phone, no matter when I try to call them.
I have consulted a lawyer and I was advised to reach out for help to the consumer and/ or the financial ombudsman, so I am preparing a letter to those offices now.
Words cannot describe how disappointed I am. I have never ever met such a disgusting company.

Don't book this company they are …

Don't book this company they are scammers
Last year December they were supposed to move us from the Netherlands to Belgium but they never showed up
After many phone calls they said that they would move us the next day but again they did not show up
I had to book another moving company to help us
Up till now Move 24 refuse to pay back my money

They are SCAMMERS

Very good 'pre-sales' talk, TERRIBLE MOVE EXPERIENCE!

We were happy with the 'talk' the pre-sales guys gave us, and indeed the original quote. HOWEVER, their estimated number of boxes guidance was appalling, and don't please assume they are 'normal' box sizes!! They are TINY! The 'team' turned up on the day, with a small Luton and a transit van, to move a 3 bed house, with garden furniture, attic stuff and a garage! It was a joke!

We had to end up hiring another van off our own back , which we were promised by the pre-sales team that we would be refunded for. Even filling our two large estate cars also, things were left outside, for US to collect at a later date ( stuff which was on the original inventory!)

We were since charged almost DOUBLE the original quote ( automatically taken from my account) and despite damages and certain listed items not being reassembled, despite being paid to be done, we were refused the refund on the extra van hire, and refused any money back in compensation for damages. Shouldn't be allowed to trade

Failed to turn up on the day - but didn't fail to take the money

My son used this company, paid a deposit and day before move partner company phoned to say move could not take place as lorry had broken down. Move had to take place that day as apartment had to be vacated, flights had to be caught. Five phone calls, each involving a wait of at least 20 minutes were never answered, neither was an email. Yet more money was taken from the bank account, a matter that the bank is now pursuing.
This company doesn't know what customer service is and I would never recommend its services.

Move 24 - never again

With this review I wish to share my very negative experiences with move 24.
I requested several offers for my move from France to Spain and move 24 (UK) provided, by far, the most competitive one. The pre-moving logistics were easy and friendly. The pick-up date/time was kept - everything went smoothly until that point.
As I did not have a flat in Spain at the time, I made use of the contractual storage-option. Once I found a flat I informed move 24 immediately of the address, asking my goods to be delivered. I had checked with them beforehand how long it would take to fix a date and they said I should give them 7 days. (Btw, I work in an international environment where a lot of people have moved across Europe and they confirmed that 7 days to deliver is the normal average.)
In the end it took them 7 weeks to deliver, plus 1 day delay compared to the fixed date (the 13th was confirmed by email, I took a day off work and waited for them to show up, but nothing... After calling them they said the goods would come on the 14th. Hence, I had to take another day off, but at least I received my things).
What made the whole process unbearable was the way they did not communicate: almost never any answer to emails, no answering the phone or calling back although promised. I had to stay in an apartment which was empty and the delay generated serious extra-costs for me.
I am afraid that this company has no idea what it means if people are moving and entrust them with their "life". And without any actual information I was never sure that my goods were okay.
Move 24 did not provide any explanation for the delay (as if 7 weeks are 'normal') nor any offer for any compensation. At no time was there an intention to assure me that they care or are willing to provide the service they had been paid for (of course the full amount had been debited from my credit card before the service was complete).
The service of the UK branch was unreliable to the point that I no longer contacted them, but only the contacted the German part. They were also the ones who "finalised" the removal.

On a side note, a colleague of mine also chose move 24 and while it had been clearly indicated in the contract that there were goods to be moved (boxes), the sub-contracted company was not aware of that - according to their knowledge they only had to pick up a Vespa and hence did not send any people. Apparently the driver was nice enough to help my colleague carrying and loading the goods. My colleague will also not recommend the company or use it again.

My recommendation for anyone having to move, chose a different company, pay the extra money. Looking back, I think it would have saved me a lot of nerves, time and money if I had contracted an actual moving company.

P.S. after seeing all the reviews, I am actually worried that they will ask me to pay something additional...

Shameful thieving company.

Shameful thieving company.
If you value your money and want an efficient service then avoid this company. In my case they guessed the amount of boxes that I'd need to move my one bedroom flat. At no point does anyone from the company come to check what you're moving. I also paid extra for a packing service. It took nearly a week to get through to anyone when I wanted to check the details of the move.

Be warned: Move 24 don't move you: they outsource to a third party: in this case one that sent two men whose english was very limited and had no idea of how to pack or move furniture. They have no idea of moving furniture, so little that my partner and I had to carry a sideboard down the stairs and into the van because they said they couldn't do it. The van turned up with less than the stated number of boxes, all of which had been heavily used previously and one small roll of bubble-wrap. I had to go out and buy extra wrapping. Because they pack on the day of moving and were late turning up, we were late leaving the empty property. When we arrived at my new home we had to help unpack the van because we were so late leaving London that the delivery men were keen to get home. En route they smashed glassware and damaged the veneer on furniture.

Several weeks later Move 24 put drew an unannounced charge on my credit card. When I questioned this I was told that it was for extra packing material - including bubble-wrap - which hadn't been previously accounted for. Warning: despite everything you have fitting on their van, they will charge you for any boxes or packages that your load that are surplus to their stated number of boxes. So, for example, the extra boxes we packed ourselves and which fitted onto the van, were charged for by them. One they have your money they cease contact and have no meaningful appeal process since they will deny all complaints.

I can't get my money back but I can help you not to waste yours in the first place. For over £800 I received a criminally poor service. Treat yourself better than this.

We only lost our deposit. We luckily found another company European Moving - europeanmoving.co.uk in Luxembourg, they were much more professional and much cheaper. It appears Move24 has gone bust!!!

Avoid them at all cost

Avoid them at all cost. They are the worse of the worse.After a disastrous delivering service with the company that they hired after three months they sent an e-mail with an invoice telling me that I owned them more money due to volume. We agreed for one price, I paid and respect all my responsibilities and it took them 2 months to deliver all the goods and still 2 boxes never arrived. They hold my goods for 2 weeks till delivery and after 3 months they just woke up and told me that I own them money. Avoid them if you don't want to have troubles that will mess all your life up. As I said the worse of the worse.
