MP Roofing was engaged through our management agent to fix roof leaks at a Sydney commercial/residential property. Although appearing professional at first, they were not prepared to address the core issues discovered to be the cause of the leak. In replacing part of the roof that was rusted, he also was unwilling to install weather protection for the premises while the roof was missing even though the weather was reporting rain and the roof sheet supplies would be days away. Had to fight with them to either replace roof sheets same day or put a secure tarp of the roof so the place was not water damaged in the rain. Ridiculous! A major RED FLAG that this is NOT a professional operator.

Mitch seemed as if he was a professional tradesmen, but we later found out this is not the case.
Mitch and his team asked for 30% of the total project cost upfront, which we paid.

He was supposed to have the roof finished within two weeks, but Mitch kept making excuses to why he couldn’t finish. We understand that works can’t be done on days when the weather is bad, but that was only a few days.
He was supposed to repoint the chimneys and never started. This should have been done before he started the roof tiles.
All he has done is install new batons and breathable felt. The batons are not even level and you can see large dips in the roof.
And he has put up 60% of the tiles which need to come off. This is because he hasn’t used gully tiles and used fibre glass instead, which was not in the brief.
He also used the wrong ridge tiles which need to be replaced.
We have water damage on our first floor ceiling due to the rainfall and Mitch not covering the roof properly.
After a month of first starting on site, Mitch abandoned the job with two thirds of the money paid and not even 30% of the works finished. I believe he didn’t want to come back as he’s already been over paid and he would have to almost start the job again.
I wouldn’t recommend this guy and I’m shocked how he has so many good reviews on Rated People.

Mitch and his team, have never failed to please, I have used him on several occasions now and I would highly recommend. I won’t use anyone else.
They are polite, prompt, clean and tidy, professional, reasonable costs and high quality finish.
