Completely agree with the other review. I am in the same situation. My buyers are using this firm and they are completely incompetent. We should have exchanged weeks ago but instead the solicitor has sat on paperwork that was sent 3 months ago and was never read by them until now. Absolutely appalling considering what they charge.
Unfortunately, our buyer is using this company to buy my Aunt's flat so we aren't dealing with them directly. This review of MRP Capron in Grays is our experience of dealing with them through our own solicitors and responses back from the frustrated buyer. We will soon be approaching 8 months for the conveyancing process and still haven't moved to Exchange of contracts. This company has asked my own good solicitors twice recently for answers to queries that were already replied to in May 2024. From our perspective of this company through my own solicitors, they are slow in dealing with the conveyancing and are incompetent. They even sent paperwork for signing to the empty flat that was up for sale with no one living in it. If my wife hadn't unexpectedly called into the flat, the paperwork would have stayed there for weeks on end and cost money in obtaining fresh papers. Sheer incompetence. We have been ready and waiting weeks to get an exchange date from them but they are still dragging their feet. All this delay is also costing us continuing high charges for ground rent and service charges. How much more time do MRP Capron need after 7 months?
