This review is the trackside package…
This review is the trackside package upgrade. The circuit is great and we spent the previous day in Knickerbrook, highly recommend. If you're thinking of booking this upgrade don't. Firstly, there is no designated parking. Fair enough but you're not told that and we only just got into the main car park on time.
This is a small room with 4 tables for approx. 28 people. we were on one of the front tables view below. The only clear view of the track is the front 4 seats, all you could watch from the back is the TV.
I have a gluten intolerance and was told to report it to staff on arrival. You would think no one had attended with an intolerance / allergy before and after many conversations they managed to put together a sandwich and cake. I would say all the staff are very lovely and professional. The catering manager told me that they have tried several different layouts in this suite but people always complain.
We had to ask for the WIFI code, only found the bar when we went to the loo and had to ask for bottled water, which we were told we would get.
The food is bland beige at best and trying to be too fancy. All this for £129 each.
I did look in the platinum lounge and this has more space and staggered tables. You also get a hot meal. If you are one of the tables at the front then the view of the track is good.
I have complained, as I suspect most of the people except the front 4 will. Pure greed on the part of MSV.

I was at an msv track day yesterday at Bedford autodrome with msv, I have to say what a breath of fresh air from msv staff, really polite and helpful and go out of there way to help, especially the lady at sign on, the best by far
Used to be better
I've been on a lot of msv track days in the past but I have had a few years out while buying a house and stupid covid but last year I decided to get back into it. Generally the track days wasn't too day, I enjoyed myself at snetterton but at donington (my favourite track) there I found a lot of professional racing teams there using the track day as a cheap test session, I've seen this in the past but not at this level, it made getting a clean lap in a fast road car nearly impossible. This wasn't terrible but something I'll bear in mind in the future. The main reason I only scored three stars is because the photographer msv choose to use. Absolutely awful service! Expensive, rubbish quality, terrible delivery time scale and when you question them on the service you'll get zero... And I mean zero response. Msv please reconsider who you use as a photographer in the future, this has seriously hampered your day out. Very disappointed.

Just want to say thanks to everyone at…MSV
Just want to say thanks to everyone at MSV brands hatch. Had such a blast this morning. I spun on one of the corners and had a slight water leak underneath. The guys rushed me back to the pits and got me straight back in another F4 car and out we went again. Then another driver spun out and he got the same service and even though only a few mins before the session finished they still wanted us to go out and enjoy ourselves. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would recommend.
A damp and slippery Brands Hatch
Went to Brands Hatch on a damp January morning, for the M4 and single seater experience, the track was quite slippery, all was very good and well organised Paul my driver coach was excellent as was the additional input from Mark Terry, I would have given 5 stars for this, unfortunately the car developed an issue causing me to have to change cars.
Booking is the only downside!!
OK... downside = the booking process... a good website & clear calendar would be good.
On the upside (for which there is alot). The circuit is awesome. Every member of the team was brilliant, a special shout out to my instructor Joe & to Steve our super car host who was funny, charming & made our day. The cars are great & the organisation on the day was impressive.
MSV don’t be mislead by advertising
I’m here now in the camp site I booked the quiet area and it’s like a 90’s Rave the security have not a clue all the areas are mixed it’s a total free for all, kids can’t sleep , I was looking forward to staying and watching the BSB,British super bike’s I will never stay again it’s a disaster this is at Oulton park.
Segregation is a good thing as advertised when I booked , I’ll be looking for a refund
Should be ashamed of their customer service
What outrageous customer service. The date and even the time of your booking cannot be changed (even if there is availability) no matter how much notice you give them and no matter what the circumstances. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Bought 2 kids driving experiences for…
Bought 2 kids driving experiences for Christmas. Spent 3 months trying to book but couldn't; multiple phone calls. Kids upset. I felt the customer service was laughable. Spoke to the Marketing Director who didn't seem to care, didn't offer any help and just gave me a refund.
I've never had an issue, and customer service is excellent
I've never had an issue booking tickets and never had any issue going to any of their tracks. I have had to talk to customer services when I booked tickets for the wrong event date (completely my fault) and they refunded me, they didn't have to but they did.
Terrible customer service
I’ve recently got into track days and one of my friends had booked one for snetterton a couple of months away. I booked onto the track day and then realised a few days later I couldn’t make the date due to me running a tough mudder event for a chairty with a group of friends. I then rang up MSV to resolve me double booking myself that weekend. I spoke to a team member and explained the situation, he then proceeded to take my details and then said “that has been credit to your account”. I then said “sorry but can’t I just get a refund”. He then replied “well you didn’t ask for that” in a very shady tone. I then laughed and said “well you didn’t asked me”. After that he then told me that any refunds need to be written in by email, fully aware of my situation. I then emailed the company over the weekend and explained the situation. I got an email back saying I didn’t qualify for a refund. Then emailed back and told them their team member knew my situation and said that I could get one if I emailed in. Then various emails and a phone call asking to speak to the manager, which he never contacted me once. I asked them to honour the fact that their team member advised me to email in and get a refund but they still didn’t do so. I wouldn’t of minded if they would of just told me over the phone I couldn’t get one and saved me the agg.
Then on another note this week on social media, I see a post about a track that was very icy and MSV advised that the riders were safe to go out on it lol. No limits advised that would have been no chance they would.
I see these as money grabbers and have a terrible customer service.
I’ll be sticking to other companies from now on.
Camping at Snetterton
My son and I booked to camp and watch the BTCC at Snetterton race circuit last weekend. We paid in advance online and received the online tickets including a reserved camping plot which we paid in advance £15 on booking. Unfortunately on arrival we were asked to pay a further £70 to camp (£35 each). This was not advised on original booking not only is the camping rate way above typical one night stay on a camp site but the facilities were extremely poor. I have paid to attend and camp at other circuits in the group and have paid half of this amount.
Feel this is very poor and extremely unfair.

M4s overly restricted and rules not followed on track
M4s overly restricted and rules not followed on track
Firstly, I was going to give this 2 stars, but the team at Brands Hatch did listen to my compliant and made amends whilst I was at the track. I gave some more detailed feedback to MSV a week ago via email, but I did not hear back.
Also I have done M3/F4 experience at Oulton Park twice, and I thought that was pretty decent. However, this is concerning my recent experience at Brands Hatch, which I found to be disappointing.
What I liked:
- the track is superb it was better than I expected for a short circuit (Indy).
- the track employees were extremely friendly, and seemed to want to make sure everyone had an enjoyable day.
- the quality of the single seater cars is better here than I've seen elsewhere. Great condition and flappy paddle gears etc. They also give lap sheets for the single seater, which I have not seen elsewhere, and is a definite bonus.
- in single seaters at tracks like Thruxton you can go flat out and hit the limiter 50% of the track, which is not great. You are going to hit the limiter at Brands, but over lesser % of the track distance.
What I think didn’t go well:
- I see MSV updated their FAQ section of their website “[their website]/faqs/“ . It now says, “There will be a photographer taking pictures on the day and you will be able to find the photographs at [link].Please note. In-car filming and Go Pros are not permitted.” Before I attended the event - and I have a screenshot of this - it said “There will be a photographer taking pictures on the day and you will be able to find the photographs at [webiste link]. We do not provide in-car filming but you are more than welcome to bring a Go-Pro or other device with you on the day, although the instructors will make sure it will not pose any Health and Safety problems on the day”. I wont get into all the details here, but when I turned up at reception they told me it was instructors discretion, the instructor for the M4 said no. I was then told by one of the organisers I could use it in the single seater, and then when I got strapped into single seater, I was told to take it off. This meant I was running back and forward to the car all morning, which was really irritating. It is worth noting there is at least oneYouTube video of someone using side camera mount in the M4( youtube V8Wxb7ToCBs), but don’t be fooled it is not happening anymore.
- As the instructor arrived at the M4 pretty late (other cars had already one a lap), and as I was the last car to leave, we only had time to say hello, fire up and go. I am amazed that unlike other places (e.g Thruxton) you don’t have instructor sighting laps. On the website it says: Full briefing followed by one-to-one instruction + One adrenaline-filled 15-minute driving session in a BMW M4. I had assumed the one to one instruction was the sighting lap with the instructor driving based on previous experiences. I think having an instructor giving you racing line tips etc before you get behind the wheel helps maximise the day.
- before you get pushed out in the single seater (they put it into first as they started it) make sure they physically show you how to put the car into neutral. I had the clutch held down in a queue in the pits for over 5mins. In my second stint they pushed me out in neutral like the other cars, which makes a lot more sense.
- I have to say the rev limiter on the M4 is far from generous, and I have been to tracks like Thruxton where they don’t use rev limiters (on faster cars e.g. McLaren 460s, Audi R8 etc) the instructor is able to dictate the pace with simple commands. I found the MSV BMW M3’s at Oulton to be more enjoyable in the past than these heavily restricted M4s. This felt like a parade lap at times, especially on the straights. I appreciate in part the purpose here is the build-up for the single seaters, but you are paying for both and I understand you can just do the M4s in isolation; I’d strongly discourage people from doing this.
- the big let down on the single seaters is the fact that the rules are not enforced on track. In my first stint I was behind a chap for 5 laps with him being show blues, and I had no means of overtaking on straights with both of us full throttle on the limiter; I could have overtaken into the corners, but we were told to avoid this. In the second stint I had a driver pull over across my nose from the right side of the pit straight, as I was passing on the left (you can only overtake on left). The same person then held me up for 2 laps ( with blue flags shown all the way) and I witnessed them overtake another car on the right. They were not black flagged/cautioned for dangerous driving.
- they had quite a few reliability issues with the cars (broken down on track etc)
My recommendation would be spend less money and go to Thruxton. The instructors there are top notch, the track is wide, and they have in car cameras.

Deliberately Misleading Supercar entry
Take this as a warning for anybody contemplating taking advantge of the Show My Car option offered to selected Supercars. It tuns out that this results in arriving and being told to dump your pride and joy in the corner of a field that is in fact further away from the pedestrian entrance that most of the general admission parking. The outer 'Supercar' area was in fact full of vans and other generic machinery badly parked. There was absolutely no control over parking and I was unable to locate anyone within Donington Park that was interested in taking any level of responsibility. It appears that there are in fact two grades of Supercar... A select few had different passes, and were allowed on the infield. I only have an Aton Martin, but was very unhappy trying to aviod ripping the splitter off on uncut uneven field. I visited the GT round at Silerstone a few weeks ago, onder a similar arrangement, and was treated like royalty in comparison with well orgainsed managed parking inside the circuit - and it was FREE.
MSV - It is obvious that your intention is to mislead customers into thining they are getting something that doesn't exist, and charging for the privilege.
I have no intention of attending any of your events in the future. I wonder of there is a reason why you do not offer any method to complain via your website?

Food at snack bars not worth eating very expensive cold and like rubber £7.50 for a tiny burger and a cheese slice bloody joke.cycling on sight is like Russia roulette bike's and E- Bikes flying around everywhere.
MSV Events - Great Day Out
Have been to many events run by MSV - mainly at Donington Park and Brands Hatch - have always been impressed with how well organised they are and friendly the staff have been. My wife and I both commented on how much improved the facilities have been at Donington Park - particularly the restaurant and toilets since MSV took over the running of it. Separate to attending MSV events (BSB, BTCC and Truck Racing) we have also purchased driving experiences for relatives at Brands Hatch and this was also really positive and they loved the gift. Surprising to see the negative comments as all of our experiences have been great.
Very difficult to redeem voucher & poor customer service
Tried multiple times to redeem a driving day voucher received as a gift. Unable to book the experience online, contrary to the literature. Called to book & waited 15 mins for call to be answered. Told by unhelpful staff that they would have to call me back with date options. Never received a call back after calling twice. I have still not been able to book anything.... VERY POOR service, not a good gift. Would never recommend MSV

Zero flexibility even in Covid-19 times…
Zero flexibility even in Covid-19 times to adjust a booking to a later date, stating company policies.
Clear to see from the negative reviews on here that company polices are all about maximising profit at the expense of customer experience.
Avoid at all costs. Hopefully we see a newer, better-ran organisation make entry into UK motorsport.
It cost me £12 in phone calls to try to by a product from them
I wanted to and did buy a young driver experience. I only found out afterwards that it cost me £11.99 in call charges because of their alleged 7p per minute phone number that cost me more like 62p per minute, and worse, WAS CHARGING ME FOR ALL THE TIME I WAS WAITING IN THEIR CALL-WAITING SYSTEM. Those numbers are a customer service crime against the public. They should be illegal. Worse still, they attempted to defend the use of such numbers when I complained. I haven't paid to call and buy something for decades, possibly ever, yet they had the audacity to say such numbers are widely used. They frankly don't deserve to be in business.

Discriminates against OAPs
I enquired as to why, despite the prices being listed on their website, I was not able to purchase the discounted offer for senior citizens to watch BTCC in October.
They offer a discount offer for both teenagers and senior citizens.
But - their website does not allow me to buy tickets for senior citizens - only Adults (full price) and teenagers (same discount as for senior citizens).
I tried to call their ticket line which is now disconnected, so instead I telephoned Donington park who provided the correct number. This eventually took me to Brands Hatch which appears to be the head office for MSV
The lady I spoke with didn't know why I couldn't buy tickets for senior citizens but I could for Adults and Teenagers. When I suggested this sounds like a dirty game to force people to pay the full price, rather than standing in a queue and then hoping there are enough tickets, she agreed.
I decided then to email MSV/ Donington Park - not an easy task to find an email address!
I eventually found a couple of addresses after a google search and emailed them.
I stated the above - requesting confirmation that for me to use their senior citizen discount I should stand in a queue, in October, with my 82 year old dad and hope the queue isn't too long and there would still be tickets available.
The answer I received from MSV's 'Group Head of Sales and Marketing', was not only rude, but abrasive and accusatory
Rather than suggest we could pre-book our tickets, like we could for Adults, children and teenagers.
Or maybe acknowledge and rectify the incorrect telephone number on their website which the staff at Donington park did prior to providing the correct number.
Perhaps even be aware that they discriminate against senior citizens, forcing them to stand in a queue and hope to gain entry whilst teenagers can receive their discounts online.
It is essentially a "fast queue" model to extract every penny possible with little to no care about the customer.
But instead, he replied with this:
"We are under no obligation to provide discounts to senior citizens and do so entirely at our discretion. We don’t have long queues on our events, they are at no risk of selling out (given the relaxation of COVID restrictions from 19 July) and their ages can be easily verified by the gate staff.
This approach has been in place for as long as I can remember and we’ve never received a complaint such as this.
Your accusation that MSV is playing a “dirty game” is completely baseless and unwarranted.
Our phone number is correctly listed on the Donington Park website as 0843 453 9000"
I am very disappointed that this email was sent to me. More so knowing this came from someone who can make decisions within the business.
You should be ashamed of yourself for sending this, and ashamed for forcing OAPs to stand in a queue unlike teenagers if we were to use your discounts.
I for one shall never, ever attend another MSV circuit nor event.
It is probably of no concern to them that a single family are now boycotting them. But I hope this feedback educates others in their decision making.
