Do not use this company to carry out a HPI.

Do not use because this company are ruthless and will rip you off. I purchased 5 basic checks with 2 to use. I used one today 17/04/25 and it now states I have none left. Also you cannot revisit your checks and send them to email so once you have read them you cannot retrieve them. I cannot contact them also because they do not provide a telephone number or email address!
Dreadful company that I will never use again!

SCAMMERS, dirty scammers, paid for a check that I didn’t receive and now they’ve taken £38 on top of that out of my account

Our terms and conditions also make it clear that we do not offer a subscription which is subject to recurring payments.

We are currently experiencing several similar reviews intended for another company being left on our Trustpilot account and have raised the severity of the situation with Trustpilot and are working with them to get these false reviews removed. This is a serious matter as MyCarCheck is being falsely reviewed in this way. The reviews are incorrect, defamatory, and harming our business.

We can only assume that you have left your review on the incorrect Trustpilot account and would respectfully ask that you remove your review from our account with immediate effect. To ensure you leave your review on the correct business, your bank statement will have details of the company you have made payment to. This is not CDL Vehicle Information Services.

AVOID SCAMMERS

Many times I’ve used this app and most of the time it takes your money, fails to load and suddenly the check disappears and it asks for money again. Money comes out the bank, but you get no check and their customer service is non-existent. SCAM SCAM SCAM

This is NOT the company who use subscription traps

I heard about subscription traps on Radio 4 this week & panicked as I've bought a car check before. On investigation, it's a company with a very similar name who reportedly use a subscription trap to charge customers. They are called CheckMyCar. THIS company - MyCarCheck - is fantastic. I bought a single credit & got the info I needed to confidently make a car purchase. I wouldn't hesitate to buy more credits to check vehicles in future, and the app is excellent whether you're using the free check or need more detail on a vehicle's history.
It's very sad that their ratings are being impacted just because they have a similar name to a less reputable company.
