Having used this service a fair amount previously, I Carried out a check on a car I was looking to purchase. One of the service stamps didn't tie in with the info that came back on the check, so I queried this to find out if there had been a possible typo somewhere or if it could be something a little more sinister. There is no number to call or anyone to speak with, so you're not going to get an immediate answer via the website form - which is the only way to get in touch. I did get an email around 6 hours later advising what they had on record was an 'estimation' as there was no MOT data.
As they advised it was an estimation and everything else checked out, I purchased the car and completed the VIN/Engine number requirements online.
Had I had the opportunity to speak with someone at MyCarCheck on the phone and probe a little more around the history of the car, I probably would have walked away from the car.
As it was, based on the above, I purchased the car and it later turned out to be cloned. I lost the car and money.
There are better/more accurate HPI check providers out there - do your homework before buying both HPI and car.

a propper print out of all the work undertaken with the service was not given. I only have their word for it as to what was completed. my previous place used to give me a complete check list of all things done, (even if you think I may not understand the terminology or parts and function) which was intonnated to me as to the reason a copy is not given, a great assumption on their part. also when tyre refitted a component was left off and I had to return to get it sorted. overall initially I was hoping to come regularly for servicing etc... but I will be going elsewhere..

disappointed wanted to check as a seller but only option software showed me as a buyer. Crucial valuation part came up as no data.
Total waste of a credit. Frustrating software

Gave me false details on a car I brought it was stolen police seized it after I checked it on here

Rubbish. Paid £3 for a car check which was not received. Asked them why and they said it was a problem with my phone network provider and I would have to sort it out. I said don't bother, just give me a refund. I've heard nothing since. Avoid.

I bought a car and decided to use my car check to find out its history, They sent me a incorrect report which came back all clear. After 5 months of owning the car when i came to sell it turns out the car was an insurance write off. This was found out by a prospective buyer who did a different check with another company. I did my own checks with other companies and it turns out the car was definately a insurance write off. I have subsequently lost money on the car as its value has dropped once its known as a catagory write off. My car check have refused to help me and infact have been rude, condesending and not even apologetic for their mistake on the original report.
I warn anyone who wants to do a vehicle check to not use these this company, their reports are fake. You have been warned!

I’ve emailed 2 times to get an update on a finance check they have said has failed and replied saying they would get it cleared, since the response a couple of emails nothing!! Picking up the car in 4 days, Dissapointed and feel nervous and let down!!

on the occasion of claim, They never pay for them mistake and they use very dodgy compnay named claim management and will use your all money. Better avoid these dodgy company
