Awful experience
I had an awful experience here when I returned a bar of chocolate which had melted and resolidified - I had eaten quite a few pieces trying to work out whether it was ok, and the staff member was sarcastic and rude about that, repeatedly talking over me as I tried to explain in Spanish. When I became upset this escalated, as he mocked me, became more and more sarcastic and spoke continuously as I was speaking, smirked at my distress and when I struggled to find my words in Spanish. I had not even asked for the refund that he was repeatedly telling me I couldn't have. I had just said, there is a problem with the chocolate. I felt that before we even spoke, he was ready to berate me. In other reviews non spanish shoppers have spoken of a feeling of xenophobia - and that is the conclusion I draw too. He really seemed to enjoy my distress. All he needed to do from the off was apologise for selling a sub standard product, and then explain politely that he could not refund, but that I was welcome to return any other bar I purchased which had the same problem if I did so without eating so many pieces.
