Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 335 reviews, most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Consumers frequently praise the welcoming restaurant environment, mentioning that the staff are exceptionally polite, friendly, and attentive even during peak hours. Visitors often find the online and in-store ordering process straightforward and describe the served meals as fresh, tasty, and very satisfying for family gatherings. However, some customers also noted frustrating experiences regarding incorrect orders, missing food items, and occasional communication issues with staff members. A few other people also felt that food portions have become noticeably smaller and that overall meal quality has declined significantly compared to previous visits.

1 Star – Worst customer service I've experienced

I had a very disappointing experience with Nando's. My order was delivered with missing items, including my Mediterranean Salad and Hot Livers & Roll, even though they are clearly listed on my receipt.
I called the restaurant as soon as I noticed the missing food. Instead of fixing their mistake, they told me they do not deliver missing items and that I would have to drive to the restaurant to collect them.
The whole reason I ordered delivery was because I couldn't drive. It is completely unacceptable to expect a customer to travel because the restaurant failed to pack the order correctly.
No apology, no effort to resolve the issue, and no concern for customer satisfaction. This is terrible customer service. If you make a mistake, you should take responsibility and make it right.
I paid for food I didn't receive and was left with no practical solution. I will never order from this Nando's again and would not recommend it to anyone. Check your order carefully if you decide to order from here.
Very disappointed. Never again.

Absolutely abysmal customer service…

Absolutely abysmal customer service from Nandos customer “support” (if you can even call it that”

Ordered a full meal from the Ecclesall Road Sheffield branch - £67 spent. Waited patiently for it to arrive only for them to update the app to say it had been delivered. It hadn’t. We had to call the “customer service” number to see where it was, all they said was that a road was closed and the driver had returned all the food back to the restaurant. Queue a refund.
Not the point, we wanted the food!

Fast forward two days later after having a heated conversation with them regarding their poor packing or delivery service.

Myself and partner decided to try a “benefit of the doubt” order - maybe this time it’ll be perfect we thought.

Everything, except the houmous arrived. You know, the main part of the starter. The pita bread and the drizzle turned up, just not the hummous so that makes the other parts redundant.

I call up, once again, the robots on the other end answer only to say “in this circumstance we cannot offer you a refund” but refused to say what the circumstances were. They told us to fill in the online form. Reluctant to, but after the advisor put the phone down on me, we resorted to the online form.

Guess what, an email reply saying “we are sorry you “believe” an item was missing, but no refund in these circumstances”

They’re basically saying we are making it up rather than admitting their ineptitude and failings.

I believe the circumstances are this, two times they’ve failed to deliver any standard of customer service and instead have flagged it as we are chancers trying to claim items are missing.

Not the case. Why on earth would be make a song and dance about it if we were “trying it on”

I have never written a trust pilot review but I’m so absolutely disgusted with Nando’s and their cretinous customer service that after over ten years enjoying their food, they can think again about me either ordering or stepping foot in one.

Pathetic and shows just how much they value honesty from customers.

Nandos gone downhill…

Always order the sharer starter with sweet potato wedges but just found out they are now frying them because they were so greasy and horrible. No mention of this on the menu as I cannot have fried foods for medical reasons which I find shocking for them to do without telling customers. Thought the whole point of wedges was they are oven baked but obviously not at nandos anymore. Their halloumi was wafer thin not like it always has been and their pitta bread was cold and stale tasting and their sweet chilli jam pots now come only half full which is terrible considering they charge £1.50 for it. less of everything for more money at nandos it seems and changing things without any warning unless you literally track down the answers yourself.

Raw chicken

Peterborough- Chicken was raw when I bit into it, complained and got made a new one but that one was also raw. Didn’t seem like they was overly bothered as got offered for them to make it again for the third time! Asked for a refund should have requested that from the start but thought I’d let them rectify it but couldn’t.

For years have complained a few times about that as when I go to the shop I have a choice of breast or leg portion but from Deliveroo and Just Eat there is no choice on the menu. Would be very easy to put a choice on menu.
I have ordered from other branches but always have same problem as it seems that Nandos Management don't listen to customers

Nandos Has Entered Its "Thoughts and Prayers" Era

I used to look forward to a Nandos. The chicken was tasty, the sides were fresh, and the staff generally knew the difference between a table number and a lottery ticket.

Sadly, those days appear to have gone the way of the Extra Hot sauce bottle when it's nearly empty.

The food quality has declined dramatically. What arrived at my table looked less like a freshly prepared meal and more like something that had lost the will to live under a heat lamp. The chicken was dry, the chips were limp, and the presentation suggested that gravity had plated it.

As for the staff, they were friendly enough, but seemed to have received approximately seven minutes of training, most of which was probably spent learning how to log into the till. Basic requests appeared to trigger a team-wide strategy meeting, and ordering food felt like participating in an escape room.

It's genuinely disappointing because Nando's used to be reliably good. Now it feels like the brand is trading on past glory while standards quietly wander off into the sunset.

On the plus side, the peri-peri sauce still tastes great. Unfortunately, it's doing some very heavy lifting these days.
