NMB LIVE The music network

NMB LIVE The Free music social media website, now rated as one of the top music interaction sites in the world.

LIVE STREAMING ON NMB LIVE: HAS FINDING GIGS BECOME OBSOLETE?

How often have you found yourself negotiating with venue owners on terms that you would never wish upon anybody? Artists have always found themselves having to compromise with their better principals when it comes to terms that would otherwise be considered to be unacceptable in any other line of work. Many venue owners expect bands to play for no money at all and in some cases - as unbelievable as it sounds - bands are expected to actually pay to play.

Finally, a paradigm shift is occurring that is making this painful experience obsolete. Like so many other industries, the computer and the internet are now disrupting yet another aspect of the music industry - live performing. NMB Live is offering just that: a way for all artists with a computer to perform live in front of a global audience from wherever they choose with the option of monetary compensation for their efforts.

Live streaming technology has been around for a while. But what's new is the level of quality and the addition of monetizing features such as pay-per-view (the ability to sell tickets to watch a live stream) and tip jar. Sponsorship is yet a third way to bring revenue to the table for those who have a greater draw of fans and viewership. And indeed, the quality of live streaming today boasts nothing less than CD-quality audio and full HD video which would never have been possible before broadband internet became commonplace.

NMB Live's company president and co-founder, Clifford Schwartz, is a professional musician himself as are most of the people who work hard to make it all happen for the site's membership , which includes many big names and companies in the industry, including guys from Toto, John Etheridge. Dave Stewart of The Eurythmics, Gordon Giltrap, John Payne- ASIA, Elliott Randall, Chaka Khan, Uriah Heep, Billy Cobham, Nazareth and countless others. Schwartz says "Because we live and breath the musician's life, we want to be able to provide a platform that empowers our fellow musicians and industry professionals to be able to make a living without having to be dependant on others to make this happen."

Currently, artists, brands and other industry professionals use NMB Live's live streaming feature for this very purpose. On a daily basis, artists are streaming from their homes, venues, offices. And because of social media, content providers can gradually build their fan base and keep people informed of their live events. They can also offer incentives for people who tip or buy tickets such as discounts on merchandise, free downloads, etc…

And what's more, NMB Live only charges 19% of tip jar revenue and 20% of pay-per-view revenue for people who use these features. Otherwise, it's 100% free to use. In other words, they only make money when their members are making money. Creating an account is of course free as well. They also offer stellar support to help their members get up and running - something which is actually far easier than you might think.

There are many great features for this fair-minded company to explore. You can visit NMB Live to signup, or to view up-and-coming live events. There's plenty to do on the site to help you further all of your career endeavours.

It's the right time to end the dependency on others to offer you the chance to perform and to make money. Luckily the internet and sites like NMB Live make this dream a reality.
