While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Orchid’s Saigon Hotel

YMMV, but we found the recommended hotel in HCMC (Orchid’s Saigon Hotel) very bad. Dusty room, dirty towels, noisy and bad service.

Thanks for letting me know this hotel has gone down in quality. I'll remove it from my site. You could have emailed me though!

Outdated informations despite mention of a recent update

Be careful, for the city of Berlin, although the blog claims an update in autumn 2024, most of the prices mentioned are not updated. Some examples, checkpoint Charlie: 14euro. Real price 18.50euro. Fernsehturm 25.50, real price 28.50eu. The 3 euro kebab has long since disappeared; the average price is 7 euros. This guide's comments on Berlin have a taste of the past...

Was charged a fraudulent charge.

I gave my credit card # for a free subscription. I was told I would not be charged anything. After putting in my card info an ad came up. I couldn't get rid of it without leaving the site. Immediately my bank texted me with a fraud alert. I had been charged $49.95 for something I did recognize. Had to shut down my cc and get a new one. Extremely inconvenient!

We do not charge anything for our newsletter. This person clicked on an ad on her website and entered her credit card. This is user error not us charging her card. We didn't charge her anything.

Scammed after trusting Nomadic Matt's recommendation on travel insurance with World Nomads

Scammed after following Nomadic Matt's recommendation to get travel insurance with World Nomads. World Nomads turned out to be a scam insurance company as they do not reply to emails and claim that they never received and emails for documentation that they asked in order to commence the claim. They just keep asking for the email and documents and you have no choice but to keep sending them the same things until probably you just give up.

Shame on you Nomadic Matt.
And avoid World Nomads at all costs.
