If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Impossible to reach customer support. You call at 8 am, they tell you the waiting time is 5-7 minutes. One hour later, you're still waiting. Worst bank I've ever had to deal with. Glad to be moving to another bank.

After almost 25 years as a customer, I have given my feedback directly to my adviser.
My recommendation to others: think twice before becoming a customer in Nordea and read the reviews carefully in trustpilot before deciding.
And to the person who will answer me here on TrustPilot: ask yourself why so many low ratings exist, and challenge your colleagues to be closer to your customers. Spend your energy on fixing the real reasons behind all these frustrated customers, instead of writing standard replies. Really sorry, but this is the reality.

Their customer service sucks big time.
You call them from the mobile app then it say wait 62 min, what ? Then after you wait one hour, you get a support guy, but you need to approve that it is you with MitID , which is a bit slow open, then the line get cut then you can do it all over again.
If that is not the worst bank in the world then I don't know, really terrible,

To approve a simple payment from my account to another Danish account, I had to sit on hold for 90 minutes, as that appears to be the standard waiting time for the customer service line. Nordea used to have very good service, but that is clearly no longer the case.

Nordea Denmark!? Stay away from that BANK!! It is simply the most useless bank, in the world. Interbank payments as in Nordea to Nordea always takes over 10 workings to arrive and when you call they just give you an excuse. Compared to other banks that is smaller, works best, can send money to other continents for way cheaper prices and they reach within second.
Nordea will ruin your credit and give you excuses for nothing. They take your money out of the account and keep it for days before they deposit into your other account that are used for paying monthly bills. Then you en up paying more as reminder fees because your Bank was simply lazy to do their work!!
Please STAY AWAY from this Bank!! They charge people a 1000kr, simply because they live on a side of the bridge and they also mean that it is a way to give “better service”. Like translating Swedish letters for “us”! What a joke!!

If you're considering getting a loan, just don't even waste your time with them.
We had a first meeting with Nordea regarding a purchase of an apartment, they pre approved the loan, told us to move forward and then they disappeared. They were careless, they were answering our emails every 5 days and after multiple follow-ups. We could not contact anyone, not even on the phone. At some point we found out our agent was "on holidays" - someone else took over and the same happened.
They just do not care. Try a smaller bank, you will see the difference in customer service and support - specially if is for something as big as purchasing an apartment.

How can Nordea be the biggest bank in all of Scandinavia and yet their Danish branch is still too cheap to hire enough customer service workers?
For many months now there's been over 1 hour of waiting time to call customer service. How is it possible? Why are you so stingy and refuse to employ enough staff to properly serve your customers that pay expensive fees for your services? It's bizarre.
How is it also that you have systems from 1999? There's no option when calling in to ask to be called back by Nordea once it's your turn. Instead you have to sit there an wait for over an hour. How is it possible that you have this poor of a setup when you're so wealthy? It makes zero sense.
You claim that calling over the app puts you in "fast track" but that's also a lie because every time the wait is over 1 hour long.
You have some poor souls from your customer service department here on Trustpilot that have to respond to the hundreds of poor reviews you get every month saying that "right now we're unfortunately very popular which causes long waiting times", which is just a bullshit act because these insanely long waiting times have been present for so many months. Just scroll back in time and read the reviews on here. You just run an understaffed operation on purpose. That's all there is to it.
It's absolutely insane how a big bank can be allowed to operate like this. I encourage all of their customers who pay expensive fees and get treated like dirt to report Nordea Denmark to the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority. Just Google their name and you'll find it.

This is the worst Bank I ever had used. They are good as long as your pay is deposited and you use Card for daily purchases in Denmark. As soon as you get some small money from friend, no matter he is returning a loan, the bank starts asking hell of a documents including your very personal ones. They even ask the id cards and occupations of people you have sent some money to.
Call the customer service for any reason and listen to their sh*t waiting music for minimum 1 hour and if you have patience to get to some human to talk to, you won't get the answers to your queries.

Contacted them because we want to discuss the option to buy/build a house (currently living abroad). They asked for documentation and we’ve sent it. But they never got back to us. It’s been more than a month!

This bank unfortunately going down like hell.
Me and my wife was with them for several years,for sure since a while we work together with other bank now instead of them.Both of us has a company but for unknown reason we never get business account from them.
Now I try to get an extension on my credit what I have on my basic account.
They just rejecting it without giving a real reason for it.
Waiting time on the phone is about 20 min each time.
I writing to them in English and they keep answering back to me in Danish.
All this " small" details drive me to the solution to change and work together with other banks.
I see no care at all , it even looks to me they just want to get ready of costumers.
My friend Also leave them as they charge her High fee monthly,
She wrote to them she think about to change and the answer was from Nordea if she want to change she can do that and they close her account.
I see the rate of Nordea 2.1 now on Trustpilot.Where we can go down more?
So after all this my question is what is the real purpose her to get rid of all costumers and close this bank or what?
Think about and have a good look before you start to deal with this bank.

Completely cheating bank. Demanding money for things they did not help with. Promissing to open an account which they did not do. Making you wait in line for over 45 minutes only to be put through a line that cuts off. This bank is the example off stealing from the pool and themselves pass on. Disgusting!

TWO weeks ago my sister sent a request to the bank with ALL the correct documentation to transfer large sums from one account to two different accounts. “Yes, this can take 3-4 days” we were told, (no idea why it can even take that long when in reality, one could do it online in seconds) TWO weeks later, my sister calls the bank, 5 times without luck waiting up to 40 mins??? PATHETIC!! The sixth time she gets through; and guess what? The bank clerk tells her “I have never received your email”!!! FFS! Incompetent imbecile. SO my sister offers to send the email again, while she speaks, she receives it and THEN says, and I can see the original one also!!!! GEEZUZ Christ! What are they? A sheltered workshop?? WHAT if this transfer was for an urgent medical procedure? Or something else urgently required? It’s OUR money, yet the bank seem to play GOD and show no care in the world and NO apology either. AND why can’t they do it instantly?? I can transfer to other people instantly so why do they need 3-4 days to do the same!! Read a big commercial, Nodrea Denmark is financing real estates property in Sweden. Took contact, gave all my assets, millions +++ DKK, was called back by a certain Nadine, asked about my taxe situation in Denmark. Gave that, called again to value my real estate in Denmark, as I have several properties some are rented out. We call you back the evaluator said. Sense then a radio silence. Of course I was pprepated for that some who paid to create business opportunities do not do their jog to which they get paid every month for. Asked Danskebank which responded. One can ask, what is the core business a bank, isn't landing money, what is the main role of each employee, facilitate that. It seems like some employees are paid to stay or hinder the business opprtunites and the worst, they get paid for it.. keep in this trajectory Nodrea. You will end like Roskilde bank. The amount of incompetence and parody is mind-boggling.
When we said, "We came here frustrated because customer support was a joke," they responded with, "Then change the bank." Oh, I sure will!!!
And yet, they still couldn't solve my simple problem because the system is not working AGAIN! Every second day, the same thing happens!

I applied for a bank account for our 16-year old daughter. It took almost 2 months to arrange that and then 3 more weeks to get a debit card for her! Customer service easily takes 5 working days or more to reply!

Finally getting new bank wuuuhuu, ever after I got my housing loan at Nordea it has been with huge regret:
1. Getting debt counseling has been impossible, and probably ended up costing me 50-150k, for not getting it. Nordea is slow and unresponsive, and does nothing actively to help customers' finances.
2. I on 3 occasions missed paying bills, which caused them to ban me from using PBS for minimum a year, which made me open a secondary bank (Lunar also pretty bad one btw)
3. When I sold my apartment, I was first offered loan rate security 2-weeks before the sales finalized, even though it should had been offered 2-months earlier.
4. They have miss instructed my dad's finances which means he has lost the ability to get the Danish elderly check.
5. Terrible inloan rate, worst of all banks, and some of the worst rates on credit as well.
6. Their IT infrastructure sux, really complicated and confusing, terrible app and terrible online web portal, in comparison with every other bank.
Stay away from this bank, it's rating here on Trustpilot make it quite clear why, I've finally closing my account and moving to Lån & Spar, after having used it for my entire life.
