Walsh Tornano trainers poor quality
I bought a pair of Walsh Tornano trainers which looked and felt great but only lasted about a year of light, occasional use before both cracked in the sole. They hadn’t been heavily used and not used for running. I’ve never had trainers fail like this before, including those I’ve worn for running etc and for much longer. Very disappointed because I wanted to buy British. I emailed Walsh with photo’s to let them know, not asking for any refunds or anything like that, but didn’t get a reply.
I bought a pair of attack trainers
I bought a pair of attack trainers, normally size 9 fits me perfectly with other models I purchased in the past from Norman Walsh, but on this occasion this model is fairly tight all around my foot.
Having sent the pair of shoes back after 21 days I am still waiting for a refund.
Their customer care support is practically non existent, they promised me to update me on the stage of my refund ( £140) and in 4 occasions they never did, so I am disputing my purchase with them through my credit card as they are in breach of their 14 days return policy.
I have been buying shoes from Walsh for years, how incompetent of them to treat me like that, they have lost a customer, not a good way to run a business.
Bought a pair of Attack size 9
Bought a pair of Attack size 9, they are the best fitting training shoe I have had since the late 80s. They feel like they are made for a human foot and not built to a price.
Also the sizes are correct, Overseas don't use UK sizes so they have to convert their size system to ours, Most of the time they get it wrong in my experience. If I buy a size nine it feels more like an eight and a half. But Walsh sizes are a correct.
Poor service and support
Poor service and support
I was disappointed to have absoletly no support when recheiving the wrog size. Ordered size 10, delievered size 8. Means 100% their fault! But no feedback, no support. I was aghast to find that Norman Walsh refused to refund the associated postage for returning them. let's see if I get the right size in the future.
Quality British-owned/British made trainers
Liked the idea of buying from a British company that's also made in Britain. Great quality and style - plus a pedigree like no other; apparently Roger Bannister used Walsh shoes to run his famous 4 min mile and Chris Bonnington likewise when climbing Everest. Arrived in 1 week, bought them via the Boden site. Very happy, recommend.
British handmade Quality
Absolute quality product. Handmade not factory mass produced. Look and feel great. So pleased I'm going back to get the V Ripple in brown/red.
Glad to buy British and Bolton.
Excellent UK trainers well made
Online customers take all the risk of poor quality products.
For a company of this calibre, I was disappointed to find that having bought a pair of trainers online that turned out to be unsatisfactorily uncomfortable, I was aghast to find that Norman Walsh refused to refund the associated postage for returning them. The arrogance of this company to think that their products are so perfect that no one would have adverse comments. I won’t do business with them again.
Great trainers
Great trainers, fair price, made in England- tremendous... far superior to the so called big brands.
Great British made training shoe
I wanted a UK made training shoe and found Walsh - what a find. I got a pair of the British Racing Green Fierce range. They look even better in real life than the pictures - really comfortable from the box. I take a 9 1/2 to 10 - size 10 fitted perfectly. The shoes came 2 days after the order placed. Highly recommended.
Love the design and quality
Love the design and quality, really happy my purchase of a pair of challengers.

Excellent service from Fern
Excellent customer service from Fern. I bought two pairs of trainers as I did not know what size would be correct and ended up being between sizes, so Fern suggested sending me footbeds to make the larger size fit better. Really proactive customer service and nothing was too much trouble. I have worn my trail running shoes once and look forward to their next outing.
Worse trainers I ever bought
I bought these training shoes a few months back and have only worn them about six times, I paid £175.00 for them, the soles on the shoes have completely worn out, I have only walked about 40 miles in them, they are not worth £50 let alone £175.
I complained and sent them back to Norman Walsh, they told me it was my fault in which the way I walk and wasnt interested in replacing or repairing.
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY in buying this brand as the quality is just awful.
I have had other trainers for several years at a cheaper price but much better quality for wear and tear.
