North Idaho Eye Institute - Not professional eye care

North Idaho Eye Institute has kicked the can for 14 months and added another 2 months for 16 months for my eye/vision situation that has progressively deteriorated.

March 2025, initial appointment and exam with Dr. G.

March 2026, Dr. G. canceled my March 2026 appointment,12 months after initial appointment.

April 2026, I made an appointment for May 13, 2026 with Dr. T. at a different North Idaho Eye location.

May 13, 2026, I was examined by Dr. T. - North Idaho Eye and was referred back to Dr. G.

July 29, 2026, was the earliest date available for Dr. G.- North Idaho Eye.

March 2025 to May 13, 2026, North West Eye spent 5 minutes or less to explain the cause and possible remedy for my eye problems. Waiting 16 months, March 2025 to July 29, 2026 for eye care is unacceptable.

May 19, 2026, I sent by USPS a memo describing my symptoms to Dr. G, Dr. T and my primary care provider. This was 1 week after my last North Idaho Eye appointment. My primary care provider referred me to another eye care professional. Events progressed rapidly after that.

I have conditions affecting both eyes and suffer vision loss, continual discomfort and occasional pain from a progressing situation. No help, no response from North Idaho Eye. I should have gone to another provider and regret contacting North Idaho Eye. Apparently my vision situation and expectations to enjoy usual vision related activities are not important or North Idaho Eye lacks the abilities to remedy the problem or has higher priorities.

North Idaho Eye appears to have inadequate resources for professional diagnostic and surgical eye care. Some of their equipment is dated. I was stranded without adequate treatment for my unusual condition. Nice web site but little else.

I received extensive diagnostic testing from another provider 3 weeks after my last visit with North Idaho Eye. Apparently, I have a bad eye/vision condition and subsequent appointments occurred within days, not months as with North Idaho Eye. The situation has progressed to serious requiring biopsies & surgery.
