I did extensive due diligence for LLC formation and narrowed it down to two companies for different reasons. What I thought would be the better choice (Legal Zoom) lost its luster very quickly as they... See more

one of the worst services out there. they will not mail you the documents, they will not answer any phone call, and layers of fees/hidden fees. AVOID AT ANY COST.
They do not provide any business address verification, so their services are not suitable for selling on Amazon or eBay or Walmart.
Also NO REPLY TO EMAILS or answer to any calls.

I've found Norwest Registered Agent to be so incredibly helpful. My experience with them has been stress free. They are knowledgeable and efficient. I have nothing short of glowing reviews for them.

First, super nice customer services team. The site user interface has some logic errors (at best poor explanation) that can be overcome using CS.
What's frustrating is that even after spelling our company name correctly for them THREE times, our state official filing came back misspelled. And the pre-created documents from Northwest continue to perpetuate the misspelling.
We paid $500-$600, so maybe my expectations were just too high. But I would not recommend to a friend.

My company, GRIFFOX LLC, was originally established in Florida, and I needed a Registered Agent to expand our operations to Missouri. The process was seamless and efficient, completed in just one day without any issues. I am thoroughly impressed with the service provided and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to establish or expand their business. Thank you for the outstanding support!

They messed up nonprofit registration. We were registering a 501(c)(4). We called them to confirm formation documents won't state the 501(c)(3) status and will be appropriate for a 501(c)(4), which they confirmed. We then received a formation certificate that stated the 501(c)(3) status. Tried getting in touch, succeeded after a while, received an email with a question about the 501(c)(4) name they would be able to register; we replied within 10 minutes; the person who saw the reply saw a nonprofit successfully registered in our account, didn't even read anything closely, thought the issue was resolved, and wished us a nice upcoming weekend. We needed the organization up and running before the weekend, now the chance of that happening seems to be very low. (We needed a 501(c)(3), too, anyway, so it's not too terrible, but the experience is pretty bad so far.)
Update: after sending us the wording for a 501(c)(4) registration with a wrong company name and refusing to change that wording to what we've suggested but assuring us the company name would "of course" be changed to ours, they ended up registering a company- after our deadline- with the wrong company name in the middle of the formation document, which makes it impossible to use it and I'm not sure how is this even legal.
Update 2: they were able to resolve the new issue by getting the state to update the articles; and they apologized and offered to refund the expedited fee and the filling fees.

The first LLC registered agent that doesn’t charge for BS. I chose Wyoming because of the best options and they gave me my US address right away as well as a US phone number with which I can be reached and also reach out to the IRS to get my EIN super fast. It’s amazing how fast it all went. I was with Bizee before and tried twice, had to fight for damned verification of my bank account 🙄 In the end I had to file for a chargeback with my bank. All the other service providers were charging for every single BS I know how to do myself. What I needed was a registered agent to take care of my filings. And this is what I got. Amazingly fast and without BS!

I wanted to use this company for their Wyoming Registered Agent service. Northwest Registered Agent is doing business at 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801 under Northwest Registered Agent Service Inc, Northwest Registered Agent LLC, and JM Spear. On July 17, 2023 The Sheridan Press printed an article about fraudulent Wyoming registered agents using this address. I was surprised to see Northwest Registered Agent using this sub-prime location for it's Wyoming Registered Agent service. Also, they charge their customers $125.00 per year for this service but most registered agents at the 30 N Gould St only charge $25.00-$50.00 per year for the same service.

This was my first time using this company. I paid for a virtual office which cost $29, however when i logged into their dashboard, there was no address for this virtual office. When you click on their live chat button, you get this "Hey there! If it's between the hours of 6am-4pm PST, we're assisting other clients and someone will be available soon! You can also reach us at (email address not allowed on trust pilot ) or by phone at 509-768-2249". There is no place to type a message on the live chat, it just displays that message. I called the number multiple times and it said not reachable. Sent emails but no one has responded till now. There is a button to cancel your order HOWEVER, when you cancel, the record of that service disappears, and you do not get a refund, which is strange because since it is a monthly fee, it should show the days you have left for the supposed service. I quickly contacted my bank to cancel and dispute the transaction.
It all seemed strange because they seem quite known.
My recommendation is try to call and speak with them before you make any purchases with them.

I don't have to make the mistake of using this scammer to know they are a scammer. Read the part on their website how your registered address is AUTOMATICALLY listed as theirs. Why would you want someone else to get your mail? They tell you it’s not offered as an option it is done automatically. They even end the paragraph with “It’s just that simple.” Gotta hand it to them they came up with a good scam. You can even imagine their shady smile as they explain it to their buddies. “And then I get their mail so if they want to know anything they have to go thru me! Its just - that - simple!”
I would advise anyone to read the website. You do that and you should know not to work with these people.

The portal is frustratingly slow and often requires multiple refreshes to function properly. Additionally, the billing process is overly complicated and confusing. I initially attempted to cancel my service and even disputed the charge with my bank. However, I canceled the dispute when they finally registered my LLC. Despite this, they canceled my services a week later, citing an issue with receiving payment from my bank. I have now reopened the dispute with my bank to recover my funds. now I have to pay (filing fee) $55 to change the agent unless they hold any document they receive.
they don't answer emails for support and call is 50/50 chance that you would connect with them.

UPDATE: Northwest Registered Agent replied that "the processing time... does not refer to how long the state takes... nor is the additional cost a state fee." This is true, which means "$39 plus state fees" is indeed a LIE. Moreover, their purchase page clearly displayed "State fees" as $520 for 5-day, $555 for 3-day, and $595 for 1-day. Those are LIES.
HOWEVER, those lies have been removed from the current storefront. I don't know why they changed it, but now the state fee for MA is correct ($520 for everybody, 1-day processing by MA). The Internet Archive has the old webpage, but unfortunately it wasn't captured correctly, so I cannot prove that it used to display three tiers of "state fees." The reader will have to take my word for it. However, because the evidence that they HAD LIED is now gone, I will change the title of this review to reflect that customers should check the state fees themselves. The fees can be easily checked on each state's website, even if you still want Northwest to file the papers for you.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I almost used Northwest Registered Agent to start my first LLC. It was only $39 "plus state fees," so I thought I could learn from seeing it done right. They listed the "state fees" as $520 for 5-day processing, $555 for 3-day, and $595 for 1-day. THAT'S THE LIE. The actual Massachusetts state fee is $520, and it's 1-day processing for everyone! Any extra above that is NOT a state fee, it's pure profit for Northwest Registered Agent to do nothing and just sit on your application for 3-5 extra days.
Sure, ZenBusiness and others have the same scummy business nodel, but they don't LIE about what they're doing. LYING turns this from scummy to scammy. LYING means that I wouldn't trust any of their positive reviews, either.

So far... so good. I applied for LLC and received message back the next day about some missing info. I called and they responded within 20 minutes.

I was not impressed with their virtual office service, so I canceled it after just one month. It was WAY more of a hassle than I anticipated for my new small business. They take days to get back to you via email (or you can call and leave a voicemail because they never answer their phone), and my inquiries were never really answered to my satisfaction. The real kicker? After you cancel your service, they do indeed hold any documents you get in the mail after that hostage! You have to pay $50 to view them (the monthly office service is only $40). I've already updated my business address on all my registrations and submitted mail forwarding the day I ended service with them, so pretty disappointed.

The main reason I selected Northwest was their supposedly fantastic customer service. I'm still waiting for that customer service to appear. They do not answer the phone, they do not return calls, they do not respond to emails, and they do not apparently check their own emails because this afternoon, they wrote asking me for information that I had already sent the first time they asked for it this morning.
I hope this is just an uncharacteristic lapse, and that things will improve from here on out. I would like to be able to update this review with something positive...but that's going to be up to them.
