On line eye test booking system which I was able to get my test for the following day.
After several years of seeing a high street optician I decided to try a local one & chose this one due to great reviews.
I was not disappointed, what an excellent service from the reception staff & Mr Arshad the practitioner who tested my eyes. The most thorough examination I have had in years, felt valued as a customer & confident in his expertise.
Good range of glasses to choose from with varying price range which may be slightly more expensive than some high street opticians, however they are a much better quality.
Staff very friendly & professional not rushed in making a decision on the frames either.
My glasses were ready within 48 hours, I am extremely satisfied with the service I received & would highly recommend this practice.

The service was outstanding and the product was top-notch. The team was both professional and attentive, with a friendly demeanor. These are the finest glasses I've owned, customized precisely for my requirements. The selection was thrilling, and they arrived the very next day. Truly exceptional. I wouldn't consider going elsewhere. I wholeheartedly endorse this place. The staff was incredibly helpful. My recommendation couldn't be stronger.

The team at Oakes opticians were very professional, efficient, helpful and friendly. The service I received was fantastic from start to finish and my glasses were ready really quickly. The choice of frames are far superior to other opticians. I will definitely stay with them.

From the free and easy to find parking, appointments to suit myself and the fantastic friendly staff to the wide choice of frames to choose from, the whole experience is great.

This is a great team. Really good experience from initial reception through a thorough, informative and helpful examination. Then the selection and advice on frames was also helpful including support and help on a pair of sports frames which I also needed. The people are nice the facility is clean and tidy and when they give a deadline or say they will do something it gets done. Throughly recommend them.

Helpful staff, very good optometrist who really spends genuine time to ensure proper examination.

I cannot recommend highly enough - the issues I have with my eyes and the equipment used to examine them were thoroughly explained so that I felt reassured and in very safe hands.

Always polite and friendly. Great selection of frames. Really helpful.

P.S - I noticed the 1 star review - some guy complaining about a parking ticket?! Maybe he should've read the sign and not parked in the staff carpark...

Really good experience at Oakes Opticians i was apprehensive before the test due to never having had my eyes tested before, really glad i did my vision is much better now i have glasses, the staff were very professional 100% would recommend.

Friendly, professional and helpful staff. The optician clearly explains the various pieces of equipment he uses. When he found an issue at the back of one of my eyes and had to refer me to my doctors and the hospital he clearly explained why and what would happen next. This time they suggested just having my lenses changed rather than buy new frames. When the lenses arrived it only took a few minutes to put into my existing fames.

I went for my eyes testing on 27.06.2017 I was looked after by Jackie and Paula made everything easy for me. And let me take my time and did not rush me when picking my glasses .store was Birstall Leeds

Excellent service. I have a complex lens prescription and was fitted with Gas Permeable lenses. Perfect fit and vision 1st time, with other opticians it's usually taken a couple of changes to get the perfect fit. Very friendly and helpful staff and my vision is superb. Thank you team Oakes!

You may have a £100 parking ticket for your visit, and staff do not want to follow the process to help you.

16th Mar 2019, My wife spend £620 pounds for two pairs of glasses, and received a parking ticket of £100 pounds for this visit. Contacted the shop many times to solve this issue. Wasted a lot of time due to the site (shop/landlord) did not follow the process they agreed with the car parking management company.

Very professional and friendly service and super quick turnaround on my glasses. Had eye test on Tuesday evening and collected my glasses on Friday.

Every aspect of the service offered at Oakes is excellent. Emma ordered in a range of frames when I didn’t find anything in the shop I liked. Mr Arshad is always so thorough with the eye test and when I collected my new glasses Bushra spent ages making fine adjustments to the fitting to ensure the best possible vision. I’d recommend this team to anyone needing new glasses, especially if you have a complicated prescription.
