Banned from the hospital, apparently due to ‘unpleasant’ behaviour! I mean what is the definition of pleasant? Should I be making small talk with the staff to ensure my demeanour whilst I am severely unwell is classed as pleasant??

It seems more likely that they didn’t like my complaint, which was legitimate and made appropriately. So basically, complain and you will be left on a limb after parting with thousands of pounds to use their services. No mercy and no consideration of the state of people’s health. Quite honestly suicidal now wondering how I can access my consultant whom is looking to operate to help me.

Sadly the waiting times for many private diagnostic appointments here are generally so long that it is rather pointless trying, it will often be quicker to go via the NHS. Also waiting to get through to the hospital on the telephone can often result in holding times longer than my GP's practice which is something that never used to be the case, so sadly many of the expected advantages of using the Oaks Hospital seem to have disappeared in the recent past.

Booking a private appointment takes 3-4 weeks and lots of email chasing/telephone calls, results of scans take 4-6 weeks - very similar to NHS.
Staff are friendly however request follow up scans & operations when there is little benefit to your health.
I may request a second opinion from an alternative hospital.
