I am a professional self-published…

I am a professional self-published author with a massive, long-term publishing project for multiple books, ready to spend a serious budget on this platform. What did I get? A complete, disrespectful waste of my time.

My private messages to a freelancer were instantly blocked by their ridiculous, broken automated "ninja bots" for absolutely no valid reason. Their pathetic system falsely flags legitimate, high-paying clients, making it completely impossible to conduct real business or even communicate with artists.

To make matters worse, when you try to resolve the issue, they hide behind cowardly "no-reply" emails. They make it a total nightmare to contact any actual customer support. It is as if this platform actively hates its clients and intentionally sabotages your business processes. It's a buggy, useless mess.

If you are a serious client with a real budget, do not waste a single second on PeoplePerHour. Take your business to Upwork or Fiverr, where clients are actually respected, and platforms actually function properly instead of treating you like a spammer. A complete joke of a website. Zero stars if I could.

Hello j,

I understand your perspective regarding the communication timeline, and I appreciate that your intention was to ensure Nafisal was paid for their work. However, I would like to clarify the timeline of events to clear up any misunderstanding.

When the chargeback was initiated on June 19th, there were no communication restrictions or limitations in place on your account. Sofia reached out on June 22nd to request that you close the chargeback, as filing one directly violates our Terms and Conditions. Your account remained fully active and open for communication until June 29th—seven days after our initial request—at which point we had to deactivate it due to the unresolved terms violation.

We can confirm that the invoice to Nafisal was released, so you can rest assured they received payment for their work. However, to maintain a safe and secure platform for all users, we must strictly enforce our policies. Because the chargeback was not resolved following our reminders, the account deactivation will stand.

We wish you the best moving forward,

PPH's freelancers subscription fee!

PPH's freelance charges were already high and they have had good clients in the past ie real companies, start-ups and SMEs looking for ad hoc project, product & operations support. Now the platform is flooded with spam/fraudulent job posts.

On 1st July 2026 they will charge all freelancers a monthly subscription, PPH doesn't say whether this replaces their project fees. What is particularly egregious however is their subscription bundle which includes access to job boards & other similar freelance platforms that never charged freelancers/job seekers to use or apply for jobs & projects previously. It's possible they've been struggling in recent years hence the introduction of a subscription but the principle of charging businesses AND NOT job seekers remains sacrosanct in my opinion.

AVOID PPH (peopleperhour) - they don't support/help enforce a buyer's contract

Review for PPH (peopleperhour).
I have been a long term buyer user for years.
You get some good sellers, some poor.

The real test came when a seller sold us a permanent solution that disappeared. The seller didn't inform us, apologise to us nor were they in any way accepting that they'd contracted with us to supply something that ultimately failed entirely.

We asked PPH to push the seller to make good - either refund or re-do. PPH could not have cared less.
Even though the deliverables are in writing on their platform, they are not interested in enforcing refund or redo.

They seem not to care little details such as legal obligations due to contracts or redress.

PPH is therefore a failure - not fit for purpose.

They side with their sellers who bring £/S onto the platform rather than buyers.

Their model therefore facilitates breaches of contracts and protects bad sellers when they do.

Best avoid the platform. Low value.

This is a review for People Per hour…

This is a review for People Per hour also known. was PPH.

A truly terrible platform for recruiting freelancers made worse by an appalling customer service.

I appointed a freelancer, payment sits in escrow (suggesting it is save because it can't be released until you're happy)

Freelancer submitted appalling work. I requested refund, they refused. Six months on, my money is stuck in escrow. CS have been worse than useless, blaming a breakdown in their ticket system and directing me back to the freelancer to sort things out. We can't, they need to step in, read the chat between us and make a decision.

They don't even read your messages, just cut and paste a generic, irrelevant response.

Not real sellers

Bought two things on PPH:

- First seller said "actually that service isn't available any more"
- Second seller ghosted me completely

So when I requested a refund, People Per Hour credited my account instead. But obviously I've got no interest in credits given my experience. That's not a refund for me.

Now waiting on whether they issue it back to my card or not upon request.

PeoplePerHour - Loss of time and money.

The platform is full of scammers who list low-cost services and on most occasions do not respond and deliver what the client pays for. upon request for a refund, PeoplePerHour puts off the refund for weeks and often does not issue a refund unless the buyer opens a dispute and requests the payment processor to reverse the transaction. PeoplePerHour is a complete loss of time and money.

When I was just starting out as a…

When I was just starting out as a writer, I didn't know how to get clients. Thankfully, I discovered Oneglobus.com. It allowed me to secure a part-time job within days of applying. I gained valuable experience and improved my writing skills during my stint. However, the low pay forced me to look for work somewhere else. But I'm still thankful to Oneglobus because it's where I started my writing career.

They are using Fiverr For spamming

They are using Fiverr For spamming.
They send buyer requests on Fiverr and when we bid them they send us a google doc. After that, they delete their Fiverr account. This is unethical way to attract freelancers from top freelancing platforms. I didn't have worked on this platform yet. but due to this behavior, I don't recommend this to anyone else.

Nice service for work out of office.

This service is a really great opportunity to work being in any point of the world. To join this service is free of charge, so i had not to spend any resorces to start working. İ have my own account at this web page and get propositions for my services. İt is a really nice space for professionals in different areas who work out of offices. Also there is a possibility to find projects yourself. İt is necessary to look in special section and to choose a suitable proposition. All companies are trustable and i did not get any problems with my jobs.

They are frauds

They are spammers. Never trust them. They place fake jobs on other freelancing website like guru and then try to steal freelancer from them.
They may show some jobs listed on their website which are dummy. Just to attract freelancer. Never trust the positive reviews about them even they are fake.
