Stay away from One Peak Medical

Stay away from One Peak Medical. They are thieves. Several times they have tried to over charge us and they order unnecessary labs to get more money out of you. I recently spoke with the manager (Andrew) at the Siskiyou office about doing a lab test that was not necessary and he assured me they would refund our money to “make it right “. After my husband paid in full for his lab work, they sent us a bill for what we already paid for. When I contacted the billing department, they said they never received a message from him regarding the refund..I was told he would reach out to me and I have not heard back. Which means I will have to go to the office and talk to him directly regarding the bill AND his inability to follow through with what he said he would do. This is not the first time this has happened. I never write reviews, but if I can save one person from being taken advantage of, it is worth the time to write one. I would stay far away from this place. They have no morals, their business practices suck and they are the most unethical place I have ever encountered.

Stay away

Stay away. I have a high deductable plan ( yes this is my own choice) but the fees were exorbitant. For example, I needed to pay $333 just to get the results of my annual health exam via a tele-health visit!!!!!!! Are you kidding me? Where is the transparency? If they had offered to email them to me I could have fed them into ChatGPT and received an essay along with a diet plan. Very dissappointed.

Jessica is very weird

Jessica is a very hands-off mid-level provider she won't even touch you unless she has too. More focused on her computer than her patients. Weird vibe and process they have at this office weird providers! I was better off looking for someone who knows how to care for a patient and isn't so money hungry! or focused on selling me a supplement or vitamin injection.

Would NOT recommend

Here is my experience. First off, just to walk in the door is $415.00. Anything else that is done is extra. I had my shoulder massaged for 20 minutes by my primary and the total cost was close to $600.00. They were to refer me for a heart test and it took a month for the hospital to receive the referral, and Onepeak said they did it twice. Obviously there is no follow up. I requested another specialist referral and was told it would take 5 days. I asked if it could be expedited (a referral would take, would 5-10 minutes to do) because an appt was open. It has now been two weeks and nothing. I have sent emails twice which have gone unanswered. When I call I am told they will do what they can, but is not much. I explain that I am not getting a response and they seem pretty apathetic. I'm very disappointed and there is no excuse for the poor service and outrageous costs. What could they do better? follow up on referrals, answer emails, act like they care. I will be looking for another provider and would not recommend Onepeak.

They are the best

I came to One Peak Medical after my previous provider stopped accepting my insurance. My wife recommended them, and from the moment I walked in to see Patricia Trueblood, MSN, FNP-C, I felt welcomed and cared for.

At that time, I was overweight, depressed, and completely lost when it came to my health. Instead of rushing me through the appointment or just prescribing medications, Patricia sat with me for over 30 minutes and truly listened. She ordered blood work to understand my actual needs, and together we built a plan tailored to me.

Since then, my life has completely changed. I’ve lost 30 pounds, my cholesterol continues to drop, and for the first time in years I feel both physically and mentally strong. I also see their in-house nutritionist, which has been an incredible support.

The staff here is always kind, professional, and encouraging. I’ve never experienced this level of personalized care before, and I am truly grateful I found One Peak. This place doesn’t just hand out prescriptions—they help you change your life.

Highly recommend Dr. Trueblood and the entire Gateway team!

If I could give negative stars

If I could give negative stars, I would. I went to this facility to help with weight issues and approaching menopause. After dozens of tests and hundreds of dollars and a lot of wasted time, they missed a pretty important diagnosis...I was pregnant at 45. I went back for weight management, and I just kept getting offered different pills that weren't working. Not to mention, they could not get the billing correct with my primary and secondary insurances. Always made my copayments. I stopped going there well over a year ago for obvious reasons. I starting getting balance notices and collection threats. Now I get a letter saying that because I haven't paid whatever it is that I am not eligible to receive care there. I left your facility! I don't want to go back. What a waste of time and money.

My experience with the Roseburg Oregon…

My experience with the Roseburg Oregon one peak medical was the worst one I can even think of. They push their supplements and want to push medication for everything, instead of helping with natural things. Their idea of natural is their pills, and shots that are not covered by insurance and are extremely expensive and do not last but a few days, and you need another shot.
I also saw one of their psychiatrists. The lady did nothing but send me to the ER for suicidal thoughts because she prescribed a medication that did this to me. Then months later, knowing what it did to me. She prescribed it again, which I did not take, I found a wonderful psychiatrist somewhere else. They want to put me on metformin when my A1C is barely pre diabetic. I am a crossfitter and a runner and very active, they don’t listen to me, they assume I eat junk and do not exercise, because this is what they have said to me. I am leaving one peak, for making my health even worse

This company is a complete scam

This company is a complete scam. I went to establish new patient care. I filled out a long survey online with all of my medical info and the medications I take. I arrived for my appointment and spent LITERALLY 10 minutes with the providers, reiterating everything I had already written and returned to them. I was assured by them that my insurance would cover the visit, and I would only have a $50 co-pay. Yesterday, I got a bill from them for $535. For a 10 minutes conversation! No exam, no testing, no prescriptions - just literally met the woman. I called the billing office to discuss because I'm obviously upset. The billing manager basically said, Yeah that's how we bill. She told me if I had had an exam, then that would have been covered, but since I didn't, insurance wouldn't cover it. I ask you: who's fault is it that the provider didn't do an exam? What do you think I'm there for? Then the billing manager implied that I should have know better and requested the right thing, then they would have billed it with a different code? Are you freaking kidding me?!?!?! Somehow their outrageous charge is now my fault?

I'm absolutely livid right now. This is straight up predatory. This is why their owner, Nisha Jackson, has numerous multi-million-dollar mansions around the valley. Her company screws people with predatory billing. The billing manager also informed me that if I was self-pay (no insurance) it would be a lot less expensive. So, how is that not insurance fraud? When you jack up your rates just for using insurance? This is wrong.

This is not OK. I would encourage everyone to stay far, far away from this place.

Sub par medical care.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with this medical practice. The level of care and professionalism is severely lacking. They don’t return calls, making it incredibly difficult to get the attention or answers you need. The staff is extremely fickle with information, often providing conflicting details or leaving me in the dark about important aspects of my care. It feels more like a factory than a healthcare facility, where patients are just numbers, and there’s no effort to offer personalized care or show any genuine concern for individual needs. I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for quality care or attention to their health.

Dangerous Medical Care

I am writing to formalize my deep concern about the care I received while in the care in the Eugene Oregon clinic . The implantation of pellets containing testosterone and estradiol as medication has caused major and alarming health complications, an incident important enough for me to detail to you so that no other patient has to endure what I have endured.I had an appointment for July 2024, with "Dee" on the use of testosterone and estradiol pellets. During this consultation, she mentioned she would insert the pellets on the same day, even though my lab results were not in. I was shocked that she would do so without first viewing my lab work, and when I raised questions, her response was dismissive. She further said that I can try asking my friend Catherine, who is also a patient here at OnePeak, to see if she could provide me with an answer. This was not only an unprofessional response but also unsettling, as I had come to expect medical guidance from your staff, not a peer.I returned on September 2024, for the procedure. Upon arriving, I was weighed by an assistant and recorded at 191 pounds, even though I had just eaten lunch and was fully dressed. I asked that my weight be changed in the records to 185 pounds, since this is my normal weight, because I was worried about getting a dose based on a wrong weight, but the assistant said she was going to record 191 pounds. When "Dee" came, she looked at my lab results and whisked me onto the table. I had a few questions, but she was in such a rush and just didn't really answer my concerns. She didn't tell me side effects, nor did she say how much testosterone/estradiol she was giving. The procedure itself was not comfortable; I was not fully numbed and told her I was in pain and asked for more Liacaine upon insertion of the pellets. I expressed this to "Dee", and her response was "It will be worth it," as she made her quick exit out of the room without addressing many of my questions. Her only possible side effect that she expressed was after three days, I may feel hypersexual. The first three days nothing. On the fourth day, I woke with my left hand trembling, shortness of breath, chest pain, tingling of fingers and toes, dizziness, leg weakness, tingling around my right eye, and lower abdominal discomfort. This continued for several hours. Really scared, I repeatedly called the on-call nurse, for advice. What she said was that the pellets would peak in 21 days and would remain in my system for 3 to 4 months and that they couldn't be taken out. I'm just, like, floored because "Dee" had never discussed that with me. The oncall nurse was so patient and just helpful, saying, really, that I needed to go to the emergency room because I had a hard time breathing. My blood pressure, when I went into the emergency room, was in the 200s. I was attended to by a nurse, who had been previously trained by the founder of OnePeak. Immediately, she knew I had been overdosed on testosterone. The nurse told me that, with a new patient like myself, no pellets should have been given before my reaction to lower, tested doses via cream or oral supplements. She also told me that the pellets were probably inserted too deep; she couldn't feel them during examination. I called the on call nurse and the two of them discussed my situation. In the ER, I went through a spate of tests: a CAT scan with dye, an EKG, and several blood tests to eliminate the possibilities of stroke, heart attack, and embolism. Thankfully, it turned out to be none of them, but it was harrowing. I was put on Clonidine, a high blood pressure medication, even though I had never had high blood pressure prior to this incident. I do not want to continue to work with "Dee". Since the procedure 23 days ago, I have been left with crippling symptoms: weakness in my legs, shortness of breath, palpitations of the heart, and unsteady walking. As I write this letter, my hands are shaking. My legs and toes cramp, my extremities tingling, large hard pimples on my chest and face, burning through my body. I can barely walk 2 blocks without getting winded and shortness of breath after talking on the phone for 5 minutes and I have to end the call. I had to return to the emergency room again for shortness of breath, 20 days after pellet insertion. I get acupuncture and cranial sacral treatments to help me. There is no question in my mind that I was treated improperly and dangerously by "Dee".

If I could give negative stars I would

If I could give negative stars I would. February 2023 I went in for an annual preventive check. The provider was horrible and rude. She wanted to order tests that were unnecessary and would cost me a lot of money because my insurance wouldn't cover them. I asked her to only order what would be covered. She sent the orders to Asante and I had the blood work done. March 2023 I received a bill for almost 1300 bucks from Asante for the blood work that was ordered that I asked not to be. I fought the charges with one peak and was told by the office manager they would take care of all of it. The balance at Asante went to 0 so I assumed all was well. Let's fast forward to August 2024. I receive a bill from Asante for the same blood work, when I contacted Asante I was told that the bill had been resubmitted by One peak. I call the office manager who "helped" me before and was told this was my responsibility and I should have caught the orders prior to having them done. Now remember the orders were sent straight to Asante, I never saw them. One peak is refusing to help me in any way and sticking me with a 1300 dollar bill. Terrible office who try and charge for all kinds of unneeded sevices.

No Doctor

No Doctor. Nurse Practitioner doesn't complete forms for insurance you authorize treatments for weeks, or not at all. They are more interested in pushing their vitamins and services. Don't waste your money, or your time. Very questionable having medical in the name.

Scam

Please do not go here. After a couple of birth control treatments for my wife which we had been told it was covered under insurance. ITS NOT! We are now stuck with a massive bill. This place is a sham and it turns out lots of people are facing this same “covered by insurance” scam!

DO NOT GO HERE!!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I would give negative stars if I could. They are EXTREMELY SCAMMY here and no one know what the h*ll is going on with billing. I received a notice for an outstanding statement back in March 2024, I go online to pay it, and it says I owe $0.00. Doing the right thing, I call the office I've been going to (billing is impossible to get ahold of), and they say they see I owe $0.00 on their end as well and to just "ignore" it. Well today, May 8th, I receive a "final notice" bill and my total has INCREASED $50 from the last statement I received in the mail. Mind you I have not been back in since December of 2023 so how did it increase? And of course this time they don't attach an itemized statement although they did last time? Hm. I call the office again and once again, they say they see I owe $0.00, so they are of no help. I ended up just paying the bill amount that my final notice had stated over the phone because I don't want collections coming for me. But this felt insanely scammy and they just lost a patient and I'm going to tell the handful of people I referred to them to watch out and stop going as well. It sucks because I actually really enjoyed my doctor there, but at the end of the day money is what makes the world go around, right?

I started out loving one peak

I started out loving one peak. I had a brain bleed which caused a stroke and then after 3 embolizations a 14 hr surgery. While recuperating my husband of 50 yrs died suddenly. I really needed a good kind group, which I felt one peak was. After 6 mths my billing got messed up. They billed my Dr as a specialist, they are nurse practioners. So I started questioning the billing. It just got worse. I finally after 5 mths, went to the top, supposedly. She didn't help either. It was one mth they are in network, the next mth they aren't. I've had a stroke people. I can't do stress!! I called united health, one peak billing. Talked lengthy conversations. I dont have co pays, but as a specialist billing i do. They always said they'd call me back tomorrow. No one ever did. The culprit was the last blood draw I had. They said I owed $740.. because they aren't in network!! United health even looked and said they were but why so much back and forth. They wanted 2 mths to check into what was going on. Finally got it paid by the deadline!! I give. I can't do this anymore. It seems like once u question them they don't want to deal with u. That's how I feel. Tori, altho nice, seems a wreck. She was the head lady at the office. She didn't even keep calling me to help me be assured . I don't need it. The hormones, I feel are for people in their child bearing years. Not someone almost 70. I felt very uncomfortable once things started being questioned. No one cared anymore. I tried so hard to get the billing fixed. Called the medford office manager many times and they were absolutely rude! Rude!! They don't seem to know how to do the billing. They must have numbers off to be getting in network and out of network messed up. I hope I can find a good dr that cares. I did love both my drs there. Stephen and Moore both were great and caring. Moore is the one that helped me go to get help inside my office, tori. Thanku to those 2 drs for the care I did have. I started wondering if it was a real medical facility. Would they actually be able to help if a hormone wasn't involved? I'm on thyroid now and my new Dr looked at all the blood work, from one peak, and I am within all the tests for thyroid. He said I don't need to be on it at all. Even the beginning ones. Now I'm wondering about that. I wouldn't encourage going to one peak. I know 5 families in the medford area that quit because of billing! I'm with them. Im so terribly disappointed.

feels like a labs-supplement mill

When you schedule your first visit, they schedule a first visit, labs and a follow up for the labs all at the same time. That should be your first clue their model is to cast a huge net with labs, and rely mostly on those, to then create a supplement plan as treatment. My first visit the practitioner asked me almost nothing about myself and didn't address the few concerns I brought up, she really just ordered labs with almost no history on me & not telling me what she was ordering - several labs she found out (through me force feeding her information) I did not need. Upon checkout I asked for the lab order to see what she had ordered and they seemed concerned I was going somewhere else - implied to me she would not give me the lab order if I wasn't planning to get the blood draw with them. This felt like a cliche worse end of what functional medicine has to offer & I decided to never return before I even left the office.

Please be very leary of this place

Please be very leary of this place. Started off good but over the 4 years and 3 practioners later it has steadily gone downhill. I can't even begin to tell you everything that has gone on. Mri's that were supposed to be ordered to certain labs not being done. If you have something serious and they don't listen then there is a problem. If there is no follow through to your care and you have to babysit the staff then there is a problem. If other respected medical professionals tell you "get out of that place" then there is a problem. If your gut tells you something is wrong listen because there is a problem with One Peak Medical. Most of all if you are treated poorly by staff and disrespected then it is time to seek Healthcare elsewhere!!

This place is completely dysfunctional on a good day. Very poor quality health care and UPSELL, UPSELL, UPSELL. Waited two months on the results of some testing and then One Peak refused to fax them to a specialist??? Really? What medical office has a patient come in, pick up results to mail or hand deliver where they need to go to? There are much better options out there…the walk in clinics provide better services.
