They were so patient and accommodating…

They were so patient and accommodating to my post Covid state. The whole team went above and beyond. I never do these reviews but these were truly the best of this service I have ever experienced in 45 years of writing and publishing.

Picky Editors and Impossible Points System

The only good thing about this site is the ability to receive free books. The “peer review editors” are very strict and picky about what is considered a good review. I wrote a 500 word review on a book I read and received a 3% score. The average reviewer score was around 58 so I should have at least received a 30/40 even if it were a poorly written review. My assumption is that the moderators keep newer users scores low to deny them access to higher paying opportunities. Currently my score is 0/100 even after doing the extra opportunities for points such as linking my Facebook and leaving extra short reviews on free daily book samples. Two 3% scores on my two book reviews resulted in me somehow having a score in the negatives, which I didn’t even know was possible. On top of that, when I reviewed the book on Amazon and provided the links the moderator was picky about my displayed name not including my last name, claiming that the link did not work. If you’re a busy person like me and time is precious to you, I suggest not wasting it on this website.

I haven’t been on the site for one to…

I haven’t been on the site for one to two years, and I revisited it today. Returning after so long reminded me of how much I’ve always appreciated the community and the space it provides for readers to connect and share their love of books. The discussions have always felt genuine, and the atmosphere encourages people to read more deeply and with more joy.

There is a review team that helps keep the community active and organized. I was once part of that team, but I resigned and no longer have access to those features. Even so, I still value the work they do and the effort that goes into maintaining the group.

I also appreciate Mr. Hughes for reaching out. It speaks to his dedication and his passion for books, reading, and the community he has built. His commitment is a big part of what makes the site meaningful for so many readers.

Expensive but do they give results?

I opted for a premium review for my book and I got one amazing review on Amazon and three more on OnlineBookClub's website. For that amount, websites like Booksiren, Booksprout, Net Galley and Increlo would've given me 20-50 reviews. Overall this site is very expensive. I have given it another go by ordering the 'book of the day" service and let's see if I can get their minimum '200 books being sold' achieved or not. Time will tell.

Book of the Day

"As a new and elderly first-time indie author, words are hard to describe the joy and satisfaction I received from participating in the OnlineBookClub.org, Book-of-the-Day program on January 20, 2026. I was prepped at every turn, advised in understandable terms, reminded in a timely fashion, and advertised and celebrated during the conclusion of the extremely successful program. I heartily endorse the OnlineBookClub's Book-of-the-Day program and the knowledgeable and supportive folks who kept me going, with a special thank-you to my special advisor, Nisha D'Souza."

This organized "book club" is honest…

This organized "book club" is honest and dedicated. As an author I find that all of the people I've communicated with to be superb. They obviously care about the author as well as the reading public.
People who love to read should be part of this book club. The "Five Stars" are earned.

Online Book Club created some posts to promote a book that I've written and those posts were excellent. They were creative and insightful, revealing their understanding of the book and of creative ways to attract a reader's attention to the book. A job well done in my opinion.

While you do some good

While you do some good, the cost benefit is questionable. You are very weak in post campaign analysis and your website is behind the times, more like a patchwork of links.

Hi, Elizabeth,

Hi, Elizabeth,

I messaged you on Facebook about this on September 9th 2025 (at 3:42pm Eastern Time), asking you to send me (1) a screenshot of that message along with (2) your email address and (3) the reference number/code it is showing.

You never sent me those.

So it's untrue to say you did everything that was asked of you, but more importantly if you still needed/need help, I'd of course always be happy to help. You would just want to reply to my message on Facebook Messenger offering to help you, sent in September 2025.

Thank you,
