New accounts using Gmail and other email providers are not allowed

I haven't been able to create an account on AppImageHub, which is part of OpenDesktop. According to several forum posts from OpenDesktop, they got hit with a lot of spam 2 or 3 years ago, and they decided to block emails from new accounts, emails from free email providers

I tried Disroot, Gmail and Proton Mail, none of them work and it is infuriating and completely retarded that they have this restriction to fight spam

For users that want to download appimages at appimagehub for example, this is not a problem, but for developers that want to contribute it is a huge problem. AppImageHub is probably the most known site for getting AppImages and it's giving the impression that it is dead, that AppImages are dead

Customer service non-existant

Can't register on the website because my E-Mail address is apparently invalid, tried to contact the support three times over the course of two weeks but never received an answer.
