***UPDATE*** I received a phone call from OE today and I am very happy with the resolution provided. I was able to get 100% of the issues listed below resolved. As a result, I DO recommend OpenEnglish for their learning platform services. The content and flexibility is great!
Here are the updated details: (1) The rep i spoke to today, has better English skills than I do LOL :) She listened to me, understood the situation, and provided a 5-star resolution for me. My recommendation to anyone else using OE to leverage their Facebook, IG and WhatsApp communication channels to get to the right person that can help you. I still think having a "Press 1 for Spanish and Press 2 for English" at the front end of the call center routing is the best customer service improvement enhancement but that is an OE management call. If I was more aware of the other communication channels maybe everything below could have been resolved earlier (2) I understand why OE has evergreen renewal clauses in their contracts because we have these in my business too. That said, my rep today was able to easily (and without any pressure or pushback) cancel the BootCamp evergreen contract and ensure my annual subscription doesn't renew automatically in January of 2027 or without my approval. I appreciated this help (3) For the other comments below...I was obviously frustrated and didn't know where else to reach out for help. But to OE's credit, they do care, they reached out and fixed the issues I was experiencing. Company's are going to make mistakes but how they fix them matters most to me. Like I said already, OE has provided a 5-star resolution and has a great learning platform. Work with them and you will be happy!

OpenEnglish is VERY difficult to deal with!! They consistently make it IMPOSSIBLE to actually talk to anyone in English (which I find very ironic) about customer service needs. I have called multiple times. Each time I have been handed off to multiple people only to be told that they cannot help me and to call again another time. Due to the consistent run around with customer service, I get the impression that there are employee incentives to prevent customers from adjusting their learning programs. The evergreens clauses in the Bootcamp and Regular Course contract options are cumbersome to navigate. The lack of customer service has ended up costing me over $200 more than planned. My recommendation to OpenEnglish is: Provide a Spanish and English language service at the front end of your call center operations. My recommendation to anyone considering this service is to read the fine print in the contracts and be prepared to get a hard sell (think timeshare sales techniques) on the front end and back end of your experience. I don’t recommend OpenEnglish at all. You are better off using a different platform and learning service. Good luck!
