As a single mom who broke her hip last year and had lots of scammers and fraud to deal with since then, I was happy to get help removing my name and address off the web. I am also divorced and do not use my husband's name, but our credit is still mixed up almost 20 years after our divorce! Optery fixed the wrong name situation.

The login requirements are a joke
The login requirements are a joke. Every time it requests a backup code with I do not have. Even when using Google login. The multifactor authentication code never arrives via text or email. My email is correct because I changed my pw, but was still unable to log in. In almost 30 years in IT support I've never seen such a cluster. Why have MFA if you're not going to send a code? smh

Optery is a trustworthy and professional company!
I have literally used dozens of websites that promise that your personal profile will be deleted from hundreds of site brokers and scam websites. I finally found Optery and do not mind paying a monthly service fee for their subscription. The only thing that would be an additional advantage is for them to have live human support. Occasionally it is a relief to actually speak to a live human! They do have a number; however, it is never answered. Always VM!
I would refer anyone to this company to help with fraudulent and inaccurate personal data. Thank you.

My privacy is restored
I had no idea how much of my information was out there until watching a video about data brokers. After searching for my name, I was sickened by the number of people who had my information.
I shopped around for the best data removal companies before choosing Optery. I chose Optery's free service which identified 155 data brokers that had information on me, some of which was incorrect, but still needed to be removed. I paid for Optery's Ultimate service which removed my information from all 155 data broker websites and continuously monitors all 355 data brokers for my information.
You have to be patient! It doesn't happen overnight. I noticed that some people complained that their information wasn't removed. After trying to remove the information myself, I realized what a tedious process it is. It can take weeks, perhaps months to have information removed from a data broker's website. Be patient and let Optery do its thing.

So far very pleased with Optery
So far I'm quite pleased with what Optery has done for me. I've become much harder to find on the internet now, about 5 months after I started the service. Some of these data brokers had me listed as having criminal convictions I did not truly have which was especially maddening and detrimental to my character. I threatened to sue one of them and they removed it but you can't get them all, too many. I'm grateful Optery gave me a way to fight back.

Before processing a registration, if you select any non-U.S. country, we do have a warning banner that pops up saying "Optery only works for U.S. residents at this time". This message shows up before you submit any information (name/email) and create an account with us.
If you are signing up as an individual or as a family for an Optery personal account, Optery still only works for U.S. residents at this time. However, you can still create an account, and we'll notify you when we begin supporting your country. Currently, Optery's international support is exclusively available to business customers and has not yet been extended to consumers, but is actively working on expanding this service.
Additionally, you are the sole owner of your Personal Data and can request disclosure or deletion at any time and we will delete this immediately!
