Why Orbit Network is a scam

I‘ve been actively involved in the cryptocurrency industry since 2017 and have seen everything from the biggest scam projects stealing people‘s money to actual great projects creating real value for investors and users. This is to say I know the blockchain space well. I love the tech, I know how to analyze cryptocurrencies and most importantly: I know how to spot a scam.

And Orbit Network unfortunately looks very much like a scam.

For your information, over 95% of cryptocurrencies are scams. This is a very young industry. So you have to be extremely cautious in this space. Few days ago, I heard from friends (who don‘t know anything about crypto) that they have invested in „Orbit Network“. Unfortunately crypto scams work best with people who are new to the space and don‘t know anything or little about it. From what they told me about Orbit Network in only a few words, I could already hear the typical red flags of a scam project. So I decided to look into this project.

Let’s start with the following question:

What is a Ponzi Scheme?

A Ponzi scheme is a form of fraud that lures investors and pays profits to earlier investors with funds from more recent investors. The scheme leads victims to believe that profits are coming from legitimate business activity, and they remain unaware that other investors are the source of funds.

The money you receive comes from the people that invest after you. There’s no business. There’s no product or service. When it becomes hard to recruit new investors, or when large numbers of existing investors cash out, these schemes collapse. As a result, most investors end up losing all or much of the money they invested.

Orbit Network shows clear characteristics of a Ponzi Scheme. You can see this yourself with the incentives that they set. Referrals earn you more of their tokens. I read a review here which said that you can’t even sign up to their platform without a referral from another person. These are typical predatory scam tactics which can work well because people see they‘re making money and feel like they‘re part of an exclusive club. The sad reality of it is that you‘re probably unknowingly convincing friends and family to invest their hard earned money or life savings into a ponzi scheme, not a real business.

I even looked into the github page of „NYE coin“. Let me explain without going in too much technical detail. See, blockchain projects are open source. That means that their code is public. Anyone can go and read the code of a project and see the activity of developers. In other words you can go and see what they’re actually creating. The website github is mostly used for that purpose. And let me tell you what you can find on NYE coin’s github page: Pretty much nothing. No activity since 3 years ago. No commits. The funny part: They link to that github themselves! They‘re so cocky that they link to an inactive github page. More evidence that their target audience is people with no experience in crypto, who wouldn’t think to check this / don’t understand what that means.

Actually, let‘s take a step back again and ask ourselves: What would they be developing anyway?

The website and whitepapers are an amalgamation of blockchain buzzwords and amateur tech lingo. They’re littered with spelling errors and phrases that don’t make any sense. There‘s no description of actual tech/use case and evidence of implementation or success that can be found anywhere. The websites of their coins speak of partnerships with companies such as twitch and vodafone, which appear to be completely fake. If you‘re an investor in this scam project you might have seen the few „news“ articles about it on sites like yahoo finance. You might automatically think „this project must be legitimate if yahoo is reporting about them.“

Unfortunately, no. The truth is these articles do not add any credibility. These articles are press releases issued by the people behind the project themselves through so-called press release services. These service providers such as Accesswire and Globe Newswire charge about 1-3 thousand USD and will get your press release published on sites like yahoo finance. And guess what services Orbit Network used as evident in the article headlines? Yep. Accesswire and Globe Newswire.

There‘s no real media coverage. It’s fake and made to look like it’s legitimate. Naturally, you can‘t find information on the people behind Orbit. You can’t find any real discussion or tweets by people on twitter about their cryptocurrencies. I’m well connected in the crypto space and I checked with reputable people in the space. Nothing. And they came to the same conclusion as me: Scam. Because we‘ve seen this same scheme over and over again.

I‘m out of characters for this review. I‘ll try to post the rest separately. Stay safe.

I've invested in this company for…

I've invested in this company for around 3 months . I've received my profit percentage every month. Just the thing that made me think is that if this is a big company with big projects like pay cap why there are not any feedback of it on the Internet? If this is real trustful company why I can't find people reviews widespread?
I'm just doubtful
