The former Origin, now EA app...

EA is just the public enemy of all the pragmatic users and free minds around the IT field. Never been Linux friendly and they probably will never be if something really radical will not be changed from the head. It's just a perfect partner in crime with Microsoft. They both love to steal data from users while using their services, perfectly hided in the background. Their typical shady style.

You can change your skin, but what is found very under is always bad.

Mediocre

I've had no real issues for the games I frequently play on Origin, however, that's quite literally 1 game...I've only purchased 3 games, mainly due to the very limited store and two of which I could only play for a couple of days and then suddenly unable to. The store is super limited so you can't get 3/4 of the games you want which counteracts the point of it. I can't seem to review games either on there which is very frustrating and suspicious. Overall, I don't have a problem with the 1 game I can play...

EA App Over Origin?

This is one of the worst online game stores. Not only is there such a limited selection of games, right down to the variety of genres (I'm still upset they got rid of so many good games in the "free games" section. A section I don't even think they have anymore) but everything that you purchase on this website is tied to EA. Which means, when you want to play that game you just purchased, you're gonna have to boot up that awful EA App that they're forcing on users now. That same EA App that has broken so many peoples games, that they don't even bother logging in anymore.

Origin is by far the worst online game site

Origin is by far the worst online game experience, they clearly dont know how to run servers for over 100 people. they cant update anything, Honestly Club penguin has a better online experience. Truly abysmal for a company this size.

I may buy games, but I am not allowed to play them

I have been using the origin client for years, not by choice but hey. I signed up with my universitiy's email account. Unfortunately the university shut down the entire domain at some point and I didn't realise this until I was asked for a verification code years later by Origin for the first time.

I was locked out from the account, but ok I thought I'll verify my identity and called their support. They verified me as the owner of the account but then said that for technical reasons, they can not change my login email address.
I asked why, but they couldn't tell me.
I asked if they are not sure if I am the owner of the account and they said that I had passed the verification.
I asked what I can do now to get access to the game that I had just purchased, they had no answer.
I asked if they can refer me to someone that can help, they said they couldn't.
I asked if there is a way to talk to a manager or complain, but there is no such thing.

So here we are. I am locked out from using my games, but I can still go on the origin website and buy more games, or link more games through other stores but I won't be able to play them.
How is this legal?

Can I 0 star?

Can I 0 star?

Absolutely poor- Account was removed for no reason and cannot be retrieved. The "advisor" couldn't tell me why. The account had not been used in a couple of years and would of liked to have started playing again with some friends.

Will never use Origin again, absolute thieving ....

I purchased a Title just about 3 hours…

I purchased a game just about 3 hours back. I am still trying to install it thought the ORIGIN APP... Is this a school project for 8 year old wanna be developers? I have never used something so counterintuitive in my whole pc/web design/development life (aporx35 years)...

I am speechless and wish I would have read the reviews first.. I sure would have paid extra to have got this title elsewhere!!!

Yes its that bad, avoid all companies that don't give a crap about your experience!

Origin, its almost 10 YEARS of App end user nightmares, tell them kids to pass this project on to proper developers please and stop being inept! Totally unbelievable, I am looking into what can be done about this, its the way you are clearly treating people here!

If you read this seriously consider using a better client/company, pay the extra or whatever, you will be glad you did.

Origin and EA deleted my account…

Origin and EA deleted my account without my permission due to inactivity. I do not have access to the old email address that I used for that account. I was informed that there is nothing they can do, they apparently have no way to undo what THEY did. They deleted my account and they can't reactivate it. They are refusing to restore my purchases, and they are refusing to assist me. Their solution was to tell me to make a new account and purchase all of my games again. Hundreds of dollars... I spent HUNDREDs of dollars on EA, I got very busy in life and when I came back to gaming this company is telling me they just took my products and won't solve the issue!

DO NOT TRUST THEM. Use another service instead.

Why i hate origin

this is one of the reasons why I don't like origin.. the origin app needs to open origin if you want to play.. the problem is if you buy from steam or other apps other than origin so why do you need to open origin again.. if I buy from steam for example fifa so I have to open origin and steam.. I want to open from steam because I bought from there.. origin is just annoying.. if we need to open your app why do you sell outside origin.. why do you sell on steam or somewhere else if you have to open the app you again.. and every time the update takes a long time.. I'm sick of waiting.. I just want to play 15 to 45 minutes but have to wait for the update for a long time.. I don't understand if we buy outside then why do we have to open again your application.. I want to give a review sorry for the bad language
