Very expensive equipment that has better and cheaper alternatives. I bought the 360 Jewelry unit for $4500 to shoot videos - I only needed the 360 rotation feature and used it rarely, maybe once a month. After 2 years I had to upgrade my computer because the old one broke, but the software had to be repurchased for another $300 just to work on the new MacBook. For $300 you can buy a similar unit that works with a phone - whether it’s a brand new one or even a 10-year-old device.
Review of the unit itself: it worked for 2 years with no breakdowns, but as I mentioned earlier, I used it rarely. The rotation smoothness is questionable - at some point, an object that’s sitting or hanging starts to shake, which isn’t always fixable in post, so I have to reshoot. The rotation mechanism isn’t as smooth as advertised. Again, there are alternatives that are 10x cheaper with the same quality, and you won’t run into software update issues. Without updates, the unit simply doesn’t work - it’s impossible to run it without the software, you’d have to spin it by hand. I don’t recommend this equipment to anyone.

After sticking our toe in the water with an entry-level 360 product photography solution, we decided to make the investment in the Ortery 3D PhotoBench 180. The PhotoBench arrived in perfect condition (very well packaged) and the fit/finish of this unit is impressive.
We have been very impressed with pre and post sales and support. Communications has been excellent and the training videos are very helpful. The Ortery Capture software is very rich in features and gives you complete control over the raw images and 360 spin creation. We did hit a bit of a speed bump integrating the spin into our Shopify store; however, the Ortery support team was responsive and resolved the issue quickly. Any company looking for a 360 product photography solution should definitely consider one of Ortery's solutions.

The team were great in helping select the right machine and trouble shoot issues I had with photos. The knowledge of their machine and time they spent in understanding my needs.

We have been dealing with Ortery Technologies now for well over a decade. During that time we have purchased 4 machines and have found their customer and technical support to be excellent. They are constantly pushing for improvement in functionality from their machines and ease of use for operators. If you are looking to drastically improve how your company images product, in our experience, you cannot go wrong with their machines and support.

We own a home based jewelry company. We bought Ortery Single Shot system (one without a turntable unfortunately). The time and patience Ken spent with us in Irvine Cal - walking us through the options - giving their best recommendations was time well spent. Images of the jewelry - from rings, to necklaces, to earrings, come out excellent. Complete white background - and if needed - perfect transparent backgrounds.
The software took very little time to learn with no additional training. In about an hour - I was taking photos like a pro!
The cost of (rounded) $4,000 was well spent. Photo productivity has increased.
If the system we bought came with a turntable or there was a model of similar size with a turntable - we would have gladly purchased that option for an extra $1k or $2,000 more in a heart beat. The unit we bought was based more on size of our home studio than on cost.
I highly recommend Ortery! I also recommend purchasing their wireless Strobe lights!

I just bought used Ortery 360 on ebay. I had few questions to the manufacturer and I called the company. I had a pleasure talking with Samuel representing Ortery Technologies Inc. He provided me with passionate support I wouldn't even expect since I bought used second hand equipment on ebay and I called them on New Year Eve.

I bought both hardware and software from them. By registering and paying a fee one month ago, I was promise anual update and techical assistance. When I found function in the web page and listed in the maual attached to the latest version can not function and requst help, they ignore my requeast and told me they no longer support this function. Why any one want to buy expensive hardware /sofeware from vendor who refuse to honor their contractual obligation and misrepresent product capabilty ?
