Osper started fine (nice card and app etc), but then I noticed Microsoft and Google withdrawals coming out regularly in £2 - 10 lots. This was not my son. I stopped the card (too late). I requested to close the account early May, which they confirmed, but they still haven't done it (mid June). Basic guys! Sorry, but it's not been a good experience.

Time flies and my youngest is now old enough for a regular bank account but we used Osper for years. It’s brilliant. A safe way for kids to use a card account and parents can track the spending too. Thanks Osper, we’ve recommended you to all our friends with younger kids! Great customer service too.

Useful until you try to cancel
I had accounts for my 2 children which I requested to cancel October 2019
One account was closed but am still being charged for the other
Several emails have gone unanswered
I've sent a final one tonight before I take further action

Osper has been a fantastic product for our children’s banking needs and we have benefitted greatly as a family from the convenience and usability of the cards.
Going forwards I will recommend your product to anyone with children needing a safe user friendly method for money.
Our Children are now 18 and it time for them to have their own bank accounts.

I’ve been trying to contact these since Saturday my son sent me £120 from his account back to
Mine but it’s gone on his parent bank I’ve rang several times no body answers I can only speak to someone from lost & stolen Cards department I’ve emailed I’ve gave details phone number & ive done the live chat !!!!! Still nobody has got back to me I needed the money back in my account as I’ve bill coming out tomorrow !!! Can I get hold of anyone not a chance it terrible.

I used these for several years for my girls who have now outgrown it. It limited their spending and was easy to use. Liked the app and it was pretty much immediate feedback when they purchased something. Recommended for ages 9-13.

My son needed to get his money from his account. The only way to do this is the ATM and the maximum amount to withdraw is £100. He took £100 one day and when he tried to take the £100 the next day, the machine took his card. This £100 was not paid out but was debited from his account. I presume Osper had registered that taking £100 our twice in two days was dodgy so took the card as a precaution but no-one will acknowledge this. And the £100 is now lost. No-one will get back to me and the dispute form seem to have no effect. Now we have an 11 year old who has lost half of his savings and do Osper care? Nope they do not. Get your child a bank account instead. I just have.

ETA - OK within an hour of writing this review (and 7 days after the money went missing) - I have actually got my son's money back so I'm a bit less bad tempered now.

After alot of research and comparisons with similar products i decided recently to get this card for my Daughter's aged 15 & 10 years old.
Sign up was easy and straight forward, The girls were very excited and looked forward for to get their cards.
They received the cards pretty quickly and the Activations were easy.
They and myself are very happy with the card so far and would definitely recommend it for teens and younger mature children to learn and understand how Saving, Banking and Money Management works.
No problems or issues as yet when using the Card.
I am pleased I chose this card for them, No more fearing they will lose Cash when they are out and about.

We have used Osper for all three of our children and it has been fantastic. Whilst they now have their own bank accounts as they are older it was certainly very valuable to them to learn how to manage money whilst they were younger. Instead of constantly spending their pocket money on nothing in particular they saved it up until they could buy something that was really worthwhile

For some reason there has been a problem loading to both my kids' cards this month. The email from Osper suggested that I check with my bank- which I duly did and there is no problem that end. Therefore, I can only assume it is a problem at Osper's end. So..... I have been trying to contact them to see what is going on. I have
emailed 3 times
phoned and waiting in a queue
sent a message on the in app chat.

Osper have not responded to any of these attempts at contact. I see that they respond to these posts so am trying this in desperation...

Thank you so much for your excellent service. Osper was an excellent introduction for my children to banking and managing money. It was great for me to be able to see how my children were saving and spending money and receiving notifications when transactions were declined - This lead to valuable conversations about managing money in a busy life. They are now ready to have their own bank accounts with no apron strings.

Got an Osper card for my 12 year old son. The application process was very easy and he was super excited when it arrived.
The app is very easy to use and loading money to the card is also easy, the ability to monitor what he spends his money on is also a nice feature.
I would recommend this card to any friends and family who are looking for one for their child.

My children are all grown up an financially independent. Wow what a day to celebrate!

This company is excellent, it offers a wonderful service and by using the online chat within the app i am able to get the answers to every question Ive asked so far very quickly. I have also recently had to dispute a transaction (not Ospers fault) some goods weren't sent for a purchase made online by my daughter, they were quick to let me know the process and sent me the links to the forms to fill in. I completed the forms and sent them along with my communications to the company in question (again via the online chat in the app) and they very quickly put the funds in question back into my daughters account. Its a great start to helping children manage their money, spending and budget before they are old enough to get a bank account with card, I highly recommend them.

I have been unable to unblock my sons Osper account. Having tried to call them and sending emails numerous times, I still haven’t gotten through to them. I am unable to sign in since they have blocked the account so can’t use the online chat function. This is obviously a company without any sort of control of their operations.

I gave this to my daughters (aged 11 and 13) for christmas and they absolutely love it. The sign up process was a breeze and the packaging was very professional along with the card itself.

I can easily load an allowance each month and I know instantly if and where they spend it. The card has been a great way to teach them about money, budgeting and savings.

Best of all, I know that if they get stuck for any reason, I can load some money quickly. You can't do that with cash!

Definitely a must have product for your children!

I ordered an Osper card recently for my 9 year old, despite a few negative reviews. He loves it. He's now able to understand and manage electronic money using his app. Great product and very practical for pocket money.
