Over a year later, the dryer is still broken.
**Over a year later, the dryer is still broken.**
My experience with Pactum Vastgoed has been extremely disappointing, not because appliances can't fail, but because of how they handle maintenance requests.
Over a year ago, I reported that the dryer in my apartment wasn't working. The problem was simple: it would start, run for a few minutes, stop, and incorrectly display a message saying the water reservoir was full, even though it had already been emptied. Before reporting it, I had already cleaned the filter, emptied the reservoir, and checked everything a tenant reasonably could.
I first contacted Pactum by email, only to be told to submit the request through their tenant portal. After taking the time to do that, I then had to explain the exact same problem all over again to their appliance contractor before a technician could be scheduled.
The technician visited twice.
On both occasions, he briefly tested the dryer, declared it repaired, and left. Within minutes of him leaving, the dryer failed again with exactly the same problem.
What followed was weeks of unnecessary back-and-forth. I made phone calls, sent emails, visited the contractor in person, and even recorded videos demonstrating the fault because simply explaining the issue apparently wasn't enough.
Despite all of that effort, the dryer was **never repaired**.
Recently, more than a year after my original report, Pactum emailed tenants asking if there were any outstanding maintenance issues. I reminded them that the dryer had **never** been fixed.
Their response? Submit a **new** maintenance request through the tenant portal, include photos, and explain the problem again.
That response perfectly summarizes my experience.
Pactum repeatedly tells tenants to use the portal because it supposedly makes maintenance more efficient. In reality, I found myself explaining the same issue over and over again to different people, rewriting the same information, providing the same evidence, and effectively managing the repair process myself.
The most frustrating part is that, after **more than a year**, countless emails, multiple repair appointments, videos, phone calls, and hours of my own time, **the dryer is still broken**.
A broken appliance can happen. What shouldn't happen is expecting the tenant to repeatedly do the administrative work while the issue remains unresolved for over a year.
I sincerely hope Pactum Vastgoed improves its communication, follow-up, and accountability, because based on my experience, the maintenance process falls far below what tenants should reasonably expect.
