Bought my second pair of Scarpa hiking boots from Paddy's. The first ones had worn out. I had a question on them when they arrived, so I called into Paddy's to ask. I got through to a real person, who knew the product in some detail. Very refreshing real expertise.
Paddy has a fantastic range of products (some of which are exclusive) and knowledgeable staff able to help with fitting backpacks and offering advice. The staff are always friendly and chatty and more than happy to offer advice on everything from hiking destinations and challenges you can expect at those locations through to what sort of equipment they would bring. The online shopping experience they offer is also good. Postage is efficient, and as fast as you can expect. As mentioned earlier, a wide range of products is available however unless you wait for specials (which often require the club membership to access) prices can be a bit higher than competitors in the area which is why I reduced this review to 4 stars. Overall a fantastic company that I highly recommend.
Definitely the shop to go for trekking gear. Very large range and importantly experienced, knowledgeable staff who have trekked and hiked so know the issues and can recommend gear from personal experience. Outstanding service.
