Generous free tier,easy sign up,needs some more accessibility but otherwise pretty good.
OCR recognition has been good but I've only tried about 10 documents and none with handwriting.Pronunciation usually works well for 90% of text ,responsive customer support & they also have an app version if you want to play offline.
Could do with more voices (which I think they'll add),better speed control,more price plans that aren't yet another subscription & other features ,but seeing as they're rather new ,things will take time.
I hope it's not bought out or enshitif*ed because it has a lot of promise for casual & professional use! (fiction books with the odd cartoon & business documents with graphs)
I do feel that you should know that some documents will be used for training unless you use the business plan,an ability to opt out for personal documents would be appreciated even if one is only allowed 1 or 2 private documents per year on any plan.I have no idea how good their encryption is though...
Navigation on the website browser is intuitive on desktop,on mobile it's too easy to scroll down and accidentally press on a document to open by accident.
Hopefully in 6 months I can update to 5 stars.
