HAVEN SITES

Cannot believe that Parkdean have announced today that they will not be refunding pitch fees to owners despite recieving government help. Surely this must be against some law if not morality. We are paying for a yearly service which we are not receiving, can this be right? Caravan owners on Haven sites have all been told they will receive a refund for the period that they are closed.
They also had the cheek to offer the owners an extra 10% off food and drink, which they will knock the price off all food and drink up anyway. Which they do every year.

Owners are being treated appallingly as well

Owners are being treated appallingly as well. They are refusing to refund any of our site fees stating that we pay for the pitch which includes maintenance and security. As their staff have been furloughed I cannot see how maintenance is being done. They didn’t have enough security before. We are supposed to be our rates refunded. God knows when this will be. Even Haven is compensating their owners for non use of their vans.

Parkdean Holidays has not refunded my Money

Parkdean Holidays has not refunded my Holiday Refund they sent me the below reply.
Thank you for getting in touch with us. I do hope you are keeping safe and well during these uncertain times.
I can see a refund has been processed for the £51, this may take up to a maximum of 28 days to return to your account due to our higher than normal volumes. It appears this was processed on 30th March – 1st April, it will be 28 days maximum from these dates. We are very grateful for your patience during this time.
36 days later and many phone calls just held on line no answer I have not received my money back, further checking online it seems that Parkdean is not refunding anybody, shame on you, I am sure that once this country gets back on it feet this company will find a mountain to climb as loyal past customers and potential new customers will read what's been written about them and withdraw their patronage, we can only state the truth while this company seem to be carrying out a concerted effort to with hold customers money, every dog will have its day, Shame on you just honnor what you should be doing as a responsible company.

We were sent e mail offering vouchers or money back. Opted for money back. Told we would have full amount in 28 days took a week longer but only received half the amount. Does this mean we have to wait for the rest from sun holidays. Totally confused. Can't get through to them to check either

45 days and still no refund as others have said, promised every other day will receive it and nothing, used these loads over the years so this is very disappointing. I know the current circumstances cannot be helped but no communication or reason why no refund yet

No refunds and no communication

So I see from other reviews that I’m not alone! No email response - they’ve abandoned ship! No phonecall response. The website login doesn’t work. 2 holidays waiting to be refunded and a third booked for 18th May. Very poor. I’m assuming they’ll put this right at some point but they’re not handling this very well. 😐 disappointing to lose a holiday then spend all this time trying to contact them.

STILL NOT REFUND

STILL NOT REFUND

Had to cancel a holiday due to Covid -19 as many other holiday providers have... except Park Dean tried everything they could to remain open during the lockdown and despite a public outcry for them to close they only gave in once the government forced them too.

Then add the fact that instead of giving refunds to the customers affected, they tried to con some people with vouchers +20% (whilst inflating the prices of all of their holidays by 20-50%) and those who requested a refund were told to wait 28 days... bit annoying but during the circumstances 28 days seems reasonable for them to get things in order and issue the refunds. 28 days later however... no refund, called up and was told to wait another 7 days because there was somehow 7 bank holidays in April just to get an email 1 hour later stating 5 days... 5 days later, called up (after waiting in a queue for an hour) to be told 2 more days...

I was told after 28 days that my refund had been escalated and I would get a call back from the refund team, never happened and when I called today it wasn't ever escalated. Honestly, these guys are just holding on to people's money so they can earn interest on it, these guys need to be shutdown or forced to repay the interest to all customers affected.

For all of those affected, I have heard many people are having alot of luck calling their banks and asking for a chargeback, Barclays seem to be able to do this within an hour so I would recommend most people try this route.

Myself, I have raised a small court claim to demand a refund plus interest for the stress, if anyone is interested it can all be done online via the .gov.uk website and will cost around £35 (which you get back should you win).

Best of luck to all of you in the same boat as myself.

1st booking and will NEVER use again.

1st booking and will NEVER use again.
Never got to stay at the caravan site. My review is based in the experience of actually trying to claim a refund for my cancelled stay.
They cancelled our stay due to the COVID 19 outbreak and the communication has been awful, they sent an email to say it would take 28 days, which it took longer, no mention of having to claim the deposit back from the Sun holidays until the day before they refunded me!! Absolute joke of a company!!

As parks are closed due to lockdown was told I could cancel and get full refund. My booking is for the 1st may. I have been told my refund will not be processed till after this date and to allow 45 days. Yep 45 days!!! I have never heard anything like it. Totally unacceptable. I work for a 5* hotel and we refunded bookings for stays and weddings immediately with no questions asked. I will never use parkdean again. No communication whatsoever!

Out of pocket due to coronavirus.

When you receive an email from parkdean telling you your holiday needs to be cancelled, if you have booked via sun holidays DO NOT click on holiday voucher as when you try to book another holiday they want more money than your holiday has cost you. Click on refund, otherwise they wont allow you to change your mind. So you either lose all money or have to pay more for another holiday! Disgusting way to treat people!

Robbers. Do not expect any refund if you cancel

I cancelled 4 months before my holiday was due. I paid about 40% of the cost and despite their policy states I should receive a full refund minus the deposit, they cancelled my holiday with no refund due. It is disgusting. It's a rip off. Now because of the coronavirus crisis, no emails are working and they are not picking up phones, so I lost my money. I won't be booking with them again. They are ridiculous.

I cancelled out touring caravan site a few weeks ago because of Covid 19 all though I took out a cancellation they only paid me back a very small percentage of my booking fee. But after many emails of threats, I'm pleased to say I had a phone call from them apologizing for their actions and agreed to pay back a full refund So Thanks Parkdean
