Caveat Inquisitor

I was looking after an inheritance on my daughter's behalf and wanted to get some basic information on my options. I had 45 minute interview with a lawyer and got a verbal outline of what my options might be. (Some of which I later found was incorrect eg that the signature on a deed of variation must be witnessed by a solicitor)
I had only wanted some outline advice but some days later got a letter from Parker Bullen telling me how pleased they were that I had appointed them to look after my affairs. This was accompanied by thirteen pages of information about Parker Bullen's Terms and Conditions. I emailed back saying no thanks, I didn't want to take this any further, and could they just bill me for the advice.
I got a bill for over £500.

Parker Bullen a brilliant firm to deal with

Parker Bullen acted for me both to obtain probate in my mothers estate and deal with the sale of her property. I found the service and attention to detail excellent. They kept me fully informed at all stages and dealt with all aspects of both probate and property in a first class manner. I will not hesitate to use them in the future.
