I didn't receive what I ordered, waste of money and time

What went wrong? Shipping! I ordered on Monday and paid the extra for to 2-3 Day Shipping. It's Thursday now and they are expecting to deliver next Tuesday!! I needed that part before the weekend. That's why I paid the extra to get it here.
PartSelect's solution? Refund me the DIFFERENCE between 2-3 day shipping and 7 day shipping, which is $1.50. REALLY???? That's your solution?? How about refunding the shipping??
While I was writing this review, I called PartSelect back and talked with Heather. She "handled" me very well and ultimately refunded the balance of the shipping. She pointed out that PartSelect did their job correctly. It was FedEx that failed. I agree with that statement, but also think that PartSelect should get a refund from FedEx for their failure to deliver on time.
Regardless, I'm still without the part I need. Sheesh!

This is a partial retraction. After learning I had made some statements about the accuracy of the bulb's suitability, I hereby retract those statements. However, my critique of the shipping charges remain.

Could not find a replacement bulb for Whirpool gas range. The Whirlpool website referred me to PartsSelect. (note, on hold at Whirlpool for over two hours and the calls dropped).
Went to PartsSlelect. I put in the model number of my range. A bulb showed up as the 'correct' bulb.
1. $44 for a light bulb?
2. $14 to ship a light bulb?
3. Called Parts Select to confirm. Yes, I was told, it's the right bulb.
4. Bought the bulb, ate the rip-off shipping and handling ($14, really?)
5. It was the correct sized bulb. The original bulb did not fit due to an unknown condition in the oven, which has since been repaired. Found the same bulb on Amazon, $33, but free shipping.
6. Asked to for refund and return.
7. Got the label and instructions.
8. Found out I HAVE TO PAY TO RETURN MY $44 + $14+tax Where in that $14 is there not enough money to cover a return?
9. Amazon was free.

I ordered a part that said delivery date about 3/4/26. I then received an email that said part shipped and included the tracking number. after a couple days I checked the tracking number, and it said, "awaiting item". I checked today 3/3 and still said "awaiting item". I sent an email inquiry to see if it has been shipped and received the reply,
"According to our records, your part is still on order from the manufacturer. Shipments are made at the manufacturer’s discretion, and unfortunately, we have no control over the timing of their delivery. Please be assured that we are committed to keeping you informed throughout the process and are making every effort to expedite your order.
Typically, when a part is placed on backorder, it means the manufacturer has depleted their stock and needs time to produce more. This often results in an extended wait, which can range from a few weeks to a month or longer. We will update you as soon as we receive new information from the manufacturer

I went online to customer service to cancel the order, and it say's item shipped and I can't return it. Call the company and spoke to someone in customer service and even though they read the email to me, they say that it shows it has been shipped and that the email must have been wrong. I told them to check the tracking number, and it will say that awaiting item, but she said no it has been shipped or they wouldn't have a tracking number and that I would have to wait for it and then return it if I didn't want it. Then she hung up on me.
