Very Disappointed
The one star is for lan who came out to meticulously measure the levels and was very pleasant and professional.
The actual screeding and follow up was another story.
We paid extra in one area to have a finish that would dry quickly and be suitable for direct application of LVT. The finished surface is very friable and our flooring contractor says it is unsuitable for direct application of the tiles and needs re-finishing.
The plumber then came to install the shower tray and said the surface was so out of level it needed to be re-done.
In another area the screed level is about 10mm lower than it should be because the screeders didn't use the carefully marked levels that Ian had done. They happened to mention this at the end of the job when they said it was too late to raise the level and tried to blame my husband!
I feel that the company has taken advantage of my husbands good nature and the fact that we have paid the bill. Adam promised to come and look at the issues this morning, he didn’t come in spite of being chased and when we chased again this afternoon said that ‘the higher ups’ had changed the schedule and he couldn’t come until Tuesday next week which is too late for us as other trades are lined up to complete work.
The work was obviously sub-contracted out and the workers were very rushed. We have gaps in corners of the area they edged. They left without even offering to clean up the trails of screed left in the house and criticised the company PC Flooring employing them very unprofessionally.
Over the last year 20 years we have carried out some major construction projects and used many trades, we have never before felt the need to post a critical review, this is by far the worst experience we have had. Photos available on the google review.
