This place in Haywards Heath is…

This place in Haywards Heath is absolutely awful. It feels less like a care home and more like a prison. My mother hates living here, and that alone should say everything. She is miserable, unhappy, and constantly talking about how trapped she feels. There is no warmth, no dignity, and no real care for the residents as human beings.
The worst part is the receptionist, who seems to think she controls everyone’s life in this building — residents and families. She is rude, controlling, and power-hungry. Even the Royal Mailman complains about her, which honestly says a lot about how unpleasant and difficult she is.
Instead of feeling supported, my mother feels watched, restricted, and ignored. No one should have to spend their later years feeling locked away and bossed around. We regret ever choosing this place and are getting her out as soon as possible. I would never recommend this residence to anyone who actually cares about their loved ones.
