Permatopia Takes advantage of Wwoofers

Permatopia rely only on woofers for the hard work while the only paid employee Anders(which doesn't even lives in Permatopia but at Copenhagen!) do not the same work as woofers and he's not concern about our well being either. He put a young women to work on weeding without giving her gloves. And she wasn't even a woofer she was just visiting some local and naïve enough to be taken advantage of. I was the one who asked her if she wanted, and showed her where they were even if the gloves are impaired and wore off, she managed to pick up a pair that was better than nothing. When I told Anders about it, he didn't seem very bothered by and he didn't know that the gloves weren't wore off and unpaired, some gloves has holes on the finger tips. This speaks tones of Permatopia REAL behavior towards volunteers, they want us to work 5 hours per day no stop. Going to the restroom is seem suspicious, working with a limp is normal, no one tells you you should work, OR you should take a day off (it's volunteering or not?) and catch up with those hours not worked another day! The woofer house is dirty, since it's up to the woofers to clean up, which many before me didn't even those who I spent time together, the upstairs toilet(wwoofers floor) sit was dirtier than a public toilet. I've cleaned it for my own sake, but the shower had black mold and I had to go downstairs shower, which is in the middle of the living room, kitchen and in front of the communal outside tables...Bullying from other wwoofers is not an issue to Permatopia, if the bully does the chore they don't really don't do anything about it. Like said here by another wwoofer, which I agree and appreciate their review, Permatopia allowance covers a day of work in Denmark, so wwoof.dk is a way to Permatopia save up money on a free labor! If you're looking to spend time with a Dane farmer Io recommend you to look up for smaller farmers, those who asks to work "only" 4 hours a day (under the rain or the sun is pretty enough)and like it have been said by the other post, see how many positive feedbacks a farmer have for how many years they have been on wwoof.dk. And good luck!

NO GO PERMATOPIA DENMARK

This is our third woofing so far in Denmark and we don't recommend PERMATOPIA ecovillage at all! Im traveling with a friend and we both agreed that of course is hard farming weeding, plucking, but this place they take advantage of woofers. They have a very nice life standard and confort but they save employee money on woofing! the less tiring chores are done by the local, seniors etc, and the hardest and repetitive chores are only done by the woofers. Until July we have a terrible food to eat on the common hall and breakfast is on us, after June all the meals are up to ourselves. They give us allowances (45€) that are not enough given Denmark is expensive. Woofers stays in a house that any other local can come in and literally take a dump on our toilet and leave! We saw an old man and a child do so! They have a shop for the locals that are inside "our" living room. The toilet doors have no lock, you have to trust! Many woofers leaves earlier than the dates they have chosen, and try to make you feel bad. A French woman panic and lied saying she had found out a job and she had to leave one week earlier... the other 2 hosts we had in Denmark were 2 couples, so we really felt they cared more for the woofers and they work side by side with us, so we saw them doing the hard work as we did, in Permatopia Anders (I think) was the person responsible to tell us what to do on the daily basis, was on his phone all the time, or doing easier/lighter things. Permatopia has been on woofing since 2021 and only 3 suckers let them a review and Permatopia didn't let them a review. We had stayed with hosts that has less time on woofing and have 3 time more reviews. ALL wwoofers are so tired that no one does anything after work (3pm) and dinner is from 5:30pm to 6:00pm, and the bikes for us are old can't go to the 45min beach! And wwoof.dk is a SCAM, the hosts are the carrots in front of the wwoofers that are the suckers that pays minimum 25 euros! so now you know.
